This did not fit my Aprilaire600. However, I was able to use my previous filter as a template and resize these using a skill saw… it work alright surprisingly. Check your dimensions first before purchase, or prepare for arts & crafts time :(.

After some research, I discovered that my Carrier whole house humidifier on my furnace was actually designed and manufactured by Aprilaire, all in America no less. Therefore, these pads are obviously OEM parts, and they fit and work perfectly in my “Carrier” unit. They are a fraction of the price that Carrier tried to charge me for the same thing through my furnace installation contractor.
SPECIAL NOTE: be sure to install the pad with its color marking on the top. If you look closely at the mesh design, you will see that this step directs trickling water back towards the mesh center, which prevents leaks. If you install it upside down, water is directed down the surface of the mesh, and may miss the collection tray at the bottom.

Had no issues replacing my Apirlaire 600 water panel with this. Sizing is perfect. Not sure why others had problems. Price is good and I would order again.

I bought a two-pack of the Aprilaire 35 water panels and installed one in september – not log after it was installed, I noticed a leak I couldn’t explain. On closer inspection of the Aprilaire unit, I took off the cover to observe the water flow and noticed a tiny pinhole leak in the panel. I replaced the panel with the second water panel and the leak was solved——until today (12/5/17) when another leak happened. I once again took off the cover and observed water coming out of the panel at the top (the black water distribution tray) and dribbling down the panel (NOT over the top of the tray). I went to my TruValue hardware store and bought a new panel off the shelf. When I compared the old panel to the new one I discovered the problem -the panels I got thru Amazon were about 1/8th inch thinner (not top to bottom nor side to side) than the OEM from the store. Though the boxes I got from Amazon were the same as one “off the shelf” locally, The product was problematic. Has anyone else experienced this problem??

I have purchased this version of the whole house humidifier filter and the paper versions as well.
Simple install as the old and the replacement filter both have a red line indicating where the top of this should be placed within your humidifier. I would recommend running a quick test from your control panel after the install to ensure water is flowing properly, and that there is no leaking. If you have an older humidifier as I did before replacing it a few years ago, I did experience leaking during the first few runs so I simply placed a bucket underneath for a few days and then presto, no leaks the rest of the winter season.
This pad does the job for the winter season and the house humidity is raised and comfortable. The only complaint I have is when you go to replace it at the end of the season. It tends to flake quite a bit and throw up some dust making for a brief but annoying clean up process. The paper versions do not have this issue.
All in all it does work as designed but giving it 4 out of 5 stars due to the extra clean up effort when replacing.

I ordered the two-pack of panels, and was pleased to see they matched the original OEM panel in my Aprilaire 700 humidifier. They fit perfectly, and were a perfect match down to the clay coating and colored marks to denote the top of the filter. These were a great value to replace the the original panel and get my furnace ready for the upcoming heating season.
The panels came complete with installation instructions. I’ve attached a photo showing what it looks like.

I had the previous filter on for a few years and it looks gross as the dirt buildup. It is easy to install and most importantly fits my model. I have it a few month and no issue

Fits and works as you would expect. I now realise I should have replaced more often as my drain was getting blocked with debris from the old one breaking down.

I ordered this twice. The first time the panels were fine. However, the second set of panels kept causing the humidifier to leak. After much troubleshooting and repositioning the pad repeatedly and getting water all over the heat exchanger, I noticed the panels were too short. They are supposed to be 13″ (33 cm), but both pads in the set were closer to 32.5 cm (see photos). That 0.5 cm difference caused the water to drip over the filter and out of the humidifier. I had to shim the pad by 0.75 cm to get it to work without leaking. Even though the package is clearly marked as genuine Aprilaire, this mishap makes me doubt it.

Have a whole home humidifier in new house where the filter clearly had not been changed in years. Bought these as a replacement. Less than 5 minutes to install a bit of vacuuming and cleaning of built up scaling and humidifier is now working again with minimal cost.

One water panel had a manufacturing defect (see photo). Wasn’t noticed until after 3 weeks of intermittent leaking and countless hours spent troubleshooting the source. Problem went away completely after putting in the second water panel. Other reviewers have noted similar issues. Will be checking for this in the future and returning promptly if found. Currently 4 days out of the return period so will he contacting Amazon directly.
Panels arrived in an Aprilaire box and do not appear to be counterfeit.

Fits my Aprilaire 700 perfectly. Comes with instructions as well so you don’t have to go looking for your Aprilaire manual, and on my model no tools were required.
Installation is fairly straight forward. If you have an Aprilaire 700, just have to push the tabs on the top and bottom of the cover to remove it. Make sure the vent is turned to Summer position so it closes the airflow or the valve inside will hold the insert when you try to remove it. Holding the top left and top right of the insert, pull out and undue the 2 clips holding the water feed tube. You should now be able to lift out the insert with the old filter, turn it upside down and it should slide out. Clean/wash the bottom if need be, slide in the new insert, and put everything back together in reverse order. If its your first time might take 5-10 min, my second time around took 2 min, maybe even less.

no more generic pads, these are specifically made for my aprilaire humidifyer. Pack of two for almost the price of what I could find in local ahrdware stores.
