extremely disappointed – I was thrilled when I put the mattress pad on the first night, turned it on, and a half hour later, climbed in to a beautifully warmed bed. Turned the warming off, and slept like a baby. I went away for a week, came home and went to turn on the mattress pad, and NOTHING. No heat, nothing. Just a very expensive mattress pad with cords coming out of it. Crap! ** exchanged for a new one with no problem, so that is a bonus!

We live in the north in the bush and heat our cabin primarily with wood.
This is the second unit we have had from Sunbeam. The first one lasted about five years then quit.
This one seems to be working fine for now and we hope it lasts longer than the first one.
Nothing quite like crawling into a warm bed on a -40C night.
Controls are simple to use. Set up is a breeze.

Overall a great product. It gets VERY warm. I havent gotten past 4 for sleeping and it goes up to 20 or “high”. I agree with other reviews in that some of the design features need work. The outlet on my last heated mattress pad was on the underside of the blanket so you didnt feel it. This one sits on the top so your feet are always touching it. I can get over that, but it does make you wonder why it was designed this way. The control panel also needs more weight to it as it’s flimsy and doesn’t sit flat on the nightstand.

Que dire d’entrer dans un lit tout chaud l’hiver?? Sublime! On allume nos couvertures ( chacun notre côté, contrôlé à la température de notre choix) environ 30 minutes avant de se coucher et on entre dans des draps chauds. On éteint en se couchant mais des fois on le repart au milieu de la nuit, au besoin. On a le couvre matelas électrique ensuite notre épais couvre matelas puis le drap contour et malgré que la chaleur doit passer par notre couvre matelas, on ressent très bien la chaleur. On a fait l’erreur de mettre les branchements à la tête et la couverture s’est mise à chauffer par subresauts mais c’était parcequ’on accrochait le branchement avec nos mains la nuit. C’est bien écrit dans les instructions de mettre les branchements aux pieds. Oops! Merveilleux achat

This product has been working great for both myself and my partner, who use it to sleep at different temperatures. However, the place where the external cord (that goes from the pad to the controllers and the outlet) attaches to the actual mattress pad/cover is less than ideal. This attachment location lies dead centre of the pad and roughly 20CM from the edge of the mattress. I am not tall, but my feet still sometimes hit it, which can be annoying. The mattress pad tag is also poorly placed (on the bottom right corner of the sleeping area) and can also be felt through our fitted sheet, which is fleece and therefore substantial. This tag also cannot be removed, and is made of a slightly harder material (soft-ish plastic) than the rest of the pad (soft), meaning that you’re stuck feeling it through the fitted sheet.
Having said all that, the product functions quite well, and gets nice and warm if you want that. Would love to see these design issues resolved for the next version 🙂

I loved this so much, bought it at the end of December, by March it was apparent that my preference for having it on hotter than my husbands side was causing the fabric to snarl up around the wires, to the point were his side would go perfectly flat and mine would not even cover the full length of the bed anymore. I tried stretching it gently when wet but it had no effect. Sunbeam rep assured me it was fine despite me saying it clearly wasn’t. They finally replied back after three months saying they would send me a label to mail it back in July and I had only one week to do so. Unfortunately for me, I was camping. Hugely disappointing, for the amount of money it should last longer than three months of use.

Upon using this product for just over a week on my bed under a fitted sheet of 700 thread count – 100 % cotton sheet , that have been very sparingly used – the sheet has wore through in two places – from what I would believe is from the friction of the sheet rubbing against the wires that are encased in the heating pad. This side of the bed where I sleep was not even heated ever !
So I am not a Happy Camper

I was a little skeptical in purchasing this mattress pad but OMG what a product. I really bought this for my wife during the winter months and thought oh boy will i be hot. She can have it on and it does not affect my side of the bed at all, plus I even use it now as well. The duel controls come in handy and very impressed with how well it works and that you cannot feel the wires running through the mattress pad.
