My wife’s father used to work for this company when they still have Canadian warehouses. She had one before and miss the comfort so I got one and thinking this cheaper one is the same as the more expensive ones you see here. The difference are the mats the more expensive ones are much thicker and have different material inside to be more comfortable. I’m not sure those are the same as the old ones but this one is definitely different. Nonetheless she used it everyday and is well build for the wood quality. Would be nice to buy the mats separately to replace she just put a pillow under for now.

So these mats are quite thin therefore not too soft. For the price and shipped to my door it is still a good deal.

I overall like the glider especially for the price. I find the seat cushion a little hard for me so I can’t sit on it for very long periods of time. I also wish the side pockets were a little bit tighter.

I did receive the product with a damaged button that holds down one of the side panels. I contacted amazon support and they were fantastic on getting it sorted out.

UPDATE: I’m on my second child with this chair. Been using it for over 2 years now consistently and it’s still in fantastic condition. I the comfort of the seat I previously mentioned doesn’t actually bother me. I’ve spent long periods in this chair rocking my babies. Upgraded to 5 stars.

So easy to assemble, glides nicely. The color matches what most furniture stores would call “espresso” or even a darker mahogany. Like others have mentioned, the bum cushion is a little lacking especially when you’re stuck under a sleeping baby for a couple of hours but I just folded up a couple of blankets as extra padding. We’ve had it for almost a year now and it’s holding up really well. Good value I’d say.

This chair is very uncomfortable, though with the use of a spare (small) pillow for lumbar support, it is adequate… however… the fabric covers are NOT washable as they are sown around the foam padding — no zipper or snaps and are thus impossible to wash. Even with the use of covers, baby spit-up/vomit eventually seeped into the fabric and foam — we must now either buy replacements or another chair. Obviously, the better long term solution is to just buy another chair — one with the foresight of design engineering not to make such an idiotic flaw. Maybe it’s an intentional flaw — hoping customers will opt for the replacement pieces rather than throwing it all out and buying a different chair… buy why spend $20 or more for each replacement piece (time and time again), plus all the extra cost and hassle of constantly shifting towels &/or waterproof covers, when all one needs is to buy a proper chair without this flaw, intentional or otherwise?
Very, very disappointed — it looks nice — but those looks are only visible if left completely unprotected (no towels or waterproof covers, etc.) — so it’s just not worth it, even at half the price they’re selling this for.

It’s good for what we wanted it for in the nursery, but this chair would not be comfortable to watch tv in a living room. It works for story time and nursing but long periods it gets uncomfortable

Let’s start with the good….the chair looks really nice and I think it’s pretty comfortable. Assembly was *super* easy – I was worried it was going to be a nightmare. It took about ~10 minutes to put together. The glide motion is very smooth and the one I have is very quiet.

The bad…the chair is damaged. I’m usually pretty forgiving about damaged furniture, as frustrating as it is, because I it gets shipped all over the place and it’s possible that the damage happens in transit. Anyway, if you look in the picture you can see the front of the chair is pretty dinged up (of course, it’s the front right? If it were in the back I probably wouldn’t care). What’s more, I inspected the box, it’s not damaged, there isn’t a hole in the box that matches up with the damaged wood. This didn’t happen in transit.

Beyond that, it just feels pretty cheap. The chair is light (generally a bad thing for wooden furniture). The padding is great now, but it doesn’t feel like it will hold up. Also annoying – even on day #1 the ‘snaps’ that hold the padding for the arms on didn’t work. It just won’t hold. Maybe I’ll superglue shut or some up with something similar.

I’m frustrated and disappointed with receiving damaged furniture; particularly with baby items. Like most people I’m not going to take 10 minutes taking the chair apart, then 30 minutes trying to get it back in the box, then find packing tape, throw it into my car and send it back to Amazon. Or you can try to contact the company to get a replacement part – sit on hold for an hour or send an email and wait a week for a response.

Edit: Update after two years of use the chair has held up very well. I was frustrated with the original damage but have increased my rating since.

Love this Glider! We have had one for 2 years and love it and just picked up another one. The second one just arrived and 3 snaps were crushed so couldn’t attach armrests, but it would seem this is pretty common with shipping, unfortunately. No problem though, just call up Stork Craft customer service and they will send you the replacements for free. (takes 10-14 days) Very nice! Don’t bother with Amazon for things like snaps or cushion replacement as they will just have you send the whole chair back. The customer service number for Stork Craft is 1-877-274-0277 call back if you hear a busy signal. You will need the model number, the date the chair was manufactured, and place of manufacture for the call. Those can be found under the seat of the glider….the assembly paper is NOT where you would find it as it’s incomplete info. Finally, don’t forget to be nice to Stork Craft customer service…they are sending out parts for free and we want them to keep doing so! Happy Gliding!

Arrived very quickly, is a light build so very easy to carry upstairs, Chair is a bit short but a nice width. Took less than a half hour to put together, looks great and is super comfy! The footstool is a little less sturdy than the chair (it wiggles from side to side, not sure I would trust sitting on it) but both chair and footstool glide smoothly. Definitely a good product for the money spent.

I bought this glider on September 30th 2012, for my sons arrival on October 17th 2012. Its been over 2 years and the chair is still in great shape. I love it!! I’ve literally used it EVERY day since the birth of my son. Multiple times a day at that. Breastfeeding was always in the chair, nap time rocking, bedtime rocking, story time, etc. My son loves the chair too! He is a toddler now and as soon as I tell him its story time he runs to the chair and JUMPS on it! Yes it does get dirty very easily, but it is definitely worth way more than what we paid for. Sometimes it does creak here and there, but my husband always does something to it to make it quiet down. Love it and would buy it again!

Replacing after a year and a half of frustrating use. Wish I had spent the extra money on a more sturdy and comfortable chair.
The cushion inside arm rests has bunched up and I can’t straighten it back out, so those are now useless, just hanging on the side. The chair came missing buttons to keep these visions/pockets pinned down, emailed about this with a “tough for you” type response. One of the major wooden back supports broke within 6 months of use. My husband was able to fix just enough to keep it semi-functional, but still will often come out making me lean to one side. I’m afraid what would happen if someone heavier rocked in it- I’m about 145 lbs.
With another baby on the way, we’re testing chairs in person from companies with better customer service & literally tossing this to the curb.
I will say the ottoman still works well.

The chair works very well considering the price. It’s fairly comfortable and I’d recommend it. The cushion you sit on could be more padded, however who cares for that price. Fits well in our nursery.
