I bought this as a 10 Foot HDMI cable to reach a TV from my laptop. The cable likely works great for 4K and conforms to CL3, but the cable itself is not as thick or sturdy by a long shot as the AmazonBasics 15 foot or 25 foot HDMI cables I’ve purchased in the past. I decided to go with the thicker gauge and returned the 4K / CL3 10 Foot cable.

This is my fourth Amazon basics 3 metre hdmi cable, the prior ones were intended for 1080 HD applications and worked fine. This new one was to link 4k player to av receiver. It couldn’t do 4k 60hz. It took me a while to work out it was the problem but switching it for one of the older Amazon basics cables solved the problem. Therefore there must be a quality control issue. In the old days for analogue connections cables were so important to get right but we have been lead to believe one HDMI cable is the same as the other. This is quite clearly not the case evenifthey are labelled high speed. I will now be shopping around for HDMI cables going forward.
UPDATE
Although an older amazon basic cable worked for a bit it developed to not working all the time. I took the plunge and bought a 3 metre QED cable that was about £40 and it worked instantly and I’ve never had any of the problems I have with cheaper amazon cables perhaps more suited to 1080HD applications.
