I read a couple of reviews about using this universal part, and decided to purchase after reading another review that had used this on an older Leon’s leather sofa, which I have. I ensured that the cable and handle were the same measurements before ordering. The part arrived in a couple of days at my door and it fit perfectly. The is the second time that this part has needed replacing, however the first time it was Leon’s who provided the part. Installed it in 10 mins. I would definitely purchase this again.

Perfect fit and sure beats paying someone to fix this simple and recurring problem. A screwdriver and a pair of pliers, less than 10 minutes and the reclining sofa works again.

The pull release handle on one of the sides of my Leon’s brand reclining couch snapped. This one looked pretty similar so I ordered it. Turns out it’s nearly identical. Fit perfectly, and since I didn’t need to replaced the cable at all, installation took about 5 minutes tops with a screwdriver and a pair of needle-nose pliers. Even the screws holes lined up perfectly. Seems just as sturdy as the previous one (and that lasted 9 years). I’ll update if I have any issues, but so far seems to work great.

The actual plastic release part was slightly different from my existing one but the cable was an exact match so I was able to easily transfer the cable to the exsiting release handle to replace the broken cable.
