When I got to electric frying pan. I was worried on some reviews it says you could not turn it low enough to keep warm. Well before you get to the warm setting. there’s a whole lot in between settings for temperature keep warm works perfectly. I put Cold water more than halfway up the pan to test this. Turn it way before the warm. And you start seeing bubbles of when actually the heat starts to turn on. Hope that helps. Then I turned it right up. It boil the water. Fantastic. Easy to bring to the sink and clean very light. That’s why I gave it five stars.

While in agreement with most aspects of most reviews, this item suffers poorly in 3 areas: poor handle design (too shallow for secure grip by fingers), the seal around the glass lid leaks when upending it which leaves a mess on the counter, and, while there is a handy pour spout, there is no way to tilt the unit while cooking such that grease, etc. collects near that spout – thus necessitating a block of wood , or similar, at the opposite end, etc. to cook on a slant for items such as bacon. Each of these features have successfully existed on similar skillets for decades.

I asked for an electric frypan for Christmas. We always had one at home and it was so versatile, my mother used it all the time.
My husband went through the reviews on Amazon and chose this one. Great choice. It is large and the heat control is just right. This replaces our electric pancake grill (was pretty old with cold spots) and our George Forman Grill. Plus we are using our wok less because this has high sides.
Unlike my mother’s, this is rectangular, and it is perfect for making pancakes, French toast, etc.
I recommend it. Also the stand folds down so it fits in the cupboard easily.

My wife liked this skillet very much – at first. However, the cord and control got so hot it deformed our quartz countertop (see photo). I’m going to try putting a heavier gauge cord on the controller it to see if that helps, otherwise it will be going in the trash.

I bought this large non-stick electric skillet from Amazon because I could not find one this large at my local stores. The non-stick surface is nice and smooth and food does not stick at all. The area above the heating element does get a little hotter than the rest of the skillet, but since you are not supposed to crowd food when frying, all you do is move the food around to get an even browning. It is a good idea to always use silicone utensils to prevent scratching the surface which will give you many years of non-stick cooking.

I am a wheelchair user who lives in an inaccessible apartment. Hubby has to do most of the cooking in the kitchen, although I also cook on a folding table with an induction burner or electric frying pan.
We have had numerous electric frying pans over the years…many of them having been expensive well-known name brands, and none were built to last. The non-stick coatings, despite only using teflon utensils, quickly became damaged, and parts broke off over time. This pan is not like the others! Even heat, wonderfully non-stick, and the folding base that fits inside the pan makes safe storage a dream! We just made sure to keep the foam sheet packing material that it came with, to protect the finish from scratches when putting it away! Highly recommend!!!

Love this electric frying pan! I was hesitant after all the negative reviews!!!! It’s easy to clean, and it gets really hot and heats evenly!!! Love using it as a serving dish. To address the one persons negative review on scratching the Teflon….The instructions do say when storing to put something in between the lid and the frame to protect the the cooking surface.

Fry me to the moon,
Lets me stir fry like a star,
Lets me see what life is like with,
Bare countertops and bars.
In other words, folds flat man,
If only the stand, did not scratch the pan.

I use an electric skillet almost daily, instead of cooking on my stove top. It’s just cleaner and easier that making a mess in skillets or pans, having to clean the stove and surrounding counter tops, pan, etc. Any way, I’ve been through several electric skillets in the last 20 years. Assorted brands and sizes. Here is what I LOVE about this one.
1. Cooks very evenly. That said, there is absolutely a ring that gets hotter directly over the heating element that you will notice when making sauces or gravy, etc. But it does heat much more consistently throughout the pan basin than others I have used.
2. SUPER easy to clean. Just unsnap the base and the whole skillet goes into the dishwater.
3. Has a pour spout on one side. You can rest a spoon there also. FAB!
4. Nice and deep. Holds a large capacity of whatever you are preparing. You can cook several different things at the same time.
5. The base folds up and stores inside the pan. Put in the power cord, flip the lid upside down and it does not take up much cabinet space at all.
I have had this for about 6 weeks and have used it at least 30 times. So far, so fantastic.

If your I can make my stew in it and two large steakssitting on the fence about buying this then don’t.As of now i don’t use my stove to cook on,this has so much room in the skillet it takes the place of two frying pans and the clean up well theres so very little.I can make my stew in it and fry two large steaks or 6 arge chicken legs.On less you have a bit of grease in it all you do is cleanit out.I love amazon and how they take care of there customers and it is my go to site when buying anything.Thank you amazon

This worked great at first and then the non stick finish started to bubble on the bottom. I never put it in the dishwasher, even though it says you can and only used it about twice a month since July 2017, it is now the end of Oct 2017. So this happened after about 8 or 10 uses, that is being generous, it was probably used less than that honestly. It was always hand washed with nothing but hot water and Dawn, I never used anything but plastic utensils in it, there is no reason that the non stick finish did what it did. I do have to add to this Amazon was amazing in resolving this issue for me, other than the hassle of a ruined meal the issue was hassle free, I have honestly never been so impressed with the ease of service and extremely impressed, if I were rating Amazon Customer Service it would be a 10 out of 5 if possible but for the product itself I have to give it a 1, which I rarely do, I always look for the positive in things but once that finish starts bubble it starts to come off and then it just spreads and gets in the food, basically the skillet is trash. I really hope mine was just defective and it was a fluke, but this was my experience with this skillet. The handful of times I was able to use it I will say it did work well and it was easy to clean, even by hand.
