I wish I had spent a little more to get a real kettle. This kettle is cheap and noisy, and potentially dangerous. It was making odd noises, so I checked it and the pressure had partially pushed the lid out. I pushed the lid back in, but was too scared to let it go to a full boil. I will never buy this brand again.

Se rompió la tapa, completamente. El plástico de la misma se deformó y los tornillos se salieron. Vean fotos. No compraría de nuevo de esta marca.
La tapa de llenado (no la del silbato) NO sella del todo bien, y se escapa un poco del vapor mientras el agua hierve, por lo que:
1 – no sabes en qué momento exacto el agua hierve
2 – el silbido, al no tener tanto vapor que expulsar, es débil y si estas lejos de la cocina, no se escucha.
El silbato funciona bien, porque si manualmente presionas la tapa grande, la intensidad aumenta.
No la compraría de nuevo, y disminuye mi confianza en la marca.

Getting this in the mail I was shocked at how light the box was. This kettle is so cheaply made it wouldn’t sell at a 99 cent store marked down unless intended as a toy for children. With a plastic handle and super thin metals, I would not boil water in this thing without expecting the handle to melt. the access to fill and clean is also super narrow. All of this comes before looking at the bottom of the kettle- thin non-conductive materials with just an awkwardly shaped bottom limit this kettle from even being compatible with many stovetops. Don’t buy this trash, get something else, and save yourself the hassle of returning it.

He estado usando la tetera por alrededor de 6 meses y cumple muy bien su función, que es calentar el agua y avisarte por medio del silbido cuando esta hierve.
Sin embargo, la construcción ha dejado un poco que desear, ya que uno de los tornillos que unen la agarradera al cuerpo ya se ha zafado dos veces, siendo necesario apretar de nuevo el tornillo y tuerca que los mantienen unidos.
Pero fuera de eso buen producto, mientras no tengas problema en ajustar este detalle cuando sea necesario.

Primeramente, llegó bien, a tiempo, perfectamente embalada por Amazon y por el fabricante. Mi primera impresion fue que el material era muy delgado, por lo que tuve mis dudas sobre su resistencia al fuego de la estufa (de gas) porque la ornilla es muy agresiva, pero… pues al final me dan garantía (pensé) Despues de lavarla con agua y jabón de forma regular, la puse a funcionar y vaya sorpresa. Por lo mismo del material delgado, (acero inoxidable) calentó muy rápido y comenzó a silbar, como debe ser. La he tenido por cerca de un mes, la uso diario y en ocasiones hasta tres veces al día y sigue como nueva. El pulido de la tapa y de la cinta decorativa que tiene en la parte baja siguen con brillo aun cuando ya se ha salpicado de grasa en varias ocasiones. No he tenido ningún cuidado extra y me ha dado muy buen servicio. La recomiendo ampliamente, especialmente por el precio.

My first review – paragraph below – concerns the whistle. Figured it out. More recently, after 7-8 months, the handle got loose and rattles, so the kettle felt unsafe to use. Noticed where the screw is — but couldn’t reach it where the spout meets the handle, inside the handle, even with a very short screwdriver. The next day, I saw another screw, on the other side of where the handle attaches to the kettle, and with an opening so you can insert a screwdriver. So I fixed it. These instructions need to be INCLUDED with the kettle. e.g., “If the handle gets loose,” or (see below) “if the whistle doesn’t work”.
( Earlier review — I bought this to get a loud whistling kettle, and at first, was disappointed that the whistle could hardly be heard even when standing next to the stove. I was preparing to send it back, but while using it to pour out hot water, the lid fell off. So I realized it had not been on tight enough (I’ve had to press it down). That fixed the problem. A loud whistle I can hear from any room! The kettle is beautiful – easy to handle.)

I was disappointed when I opened up the box. The feel of this kettle is lightweight and cheap. Within a week or two a screw came out of the lid, or maybe it was never there because I never found it. Within a few months I noticed rust on the area between lid and opening of kettle. My last kettle was a similar style, similar price and I had it for YEARS and I left it filled with water all the time. The only reason the old one needed replacing is because someone left it boil dry and the bottom warped otherwise it would still be going strong. This one will be trashed as soon as I find a replacement.

My Mr Coffee kettle just arrived and I can say one thing for sure … it looks like a ruby. It is absolutely beautiful and fits into my kitchen decor perfectly. It’s also big enough to fit over my large burner, and the opening is wide enough to comfortably get my hand in to clean it. Also the handle only goes to the side in one direction which is both convenient for cleaning but safe for pouring hot water. The function is exactly what it’s supposed to be. For the price I paid, and the product that arrived, I am very happy. Thanks Mr Coffee!!

Super hard to find these at any thrift store or Walmart, so bought it online. First thing I did was put water in it and boil it…. and NO WHISTLE. Not sure how they missed that in the factory, but the whole point of using this instead of a pot is this one whistles so you notice when it’s boiling and it’s easier to pour.

My partner asked me to get a stove-top kettle cause the electronic one is not romantic enough for her. This one is so cute (and cheap) and we decided on it amongst all the gazillion other kettles available on Amazon. Now we’ve been using it for a little over a month, I am still really happy with the product. It is small, pretty, easy to clean and easy to use. The whistle adds that touch of old-fashioned romance that water is ready for tea-making, splendid. My partner is incredibly happy. The only other thing I want to mention is that: our (still functioning) electronic kettle boils water faster, and does not require the extra step of lifting the kettle off the stove once water is boiled.

There are many stove top tea kettles on the market today but none equal the quality of the copper bottom, bright chrome one made in the U.S.A. we had to finally discard. Try to find a simple, basic designed, high quality kettle but it can’t be done, not even in the U.K. where we thought that would be a natural! This Mr. Coffee model came as close as we could find to the one we had to discard after many years of use but it has one problem that we will have to solve by using the kettle. Although it states the kettle is stainless steel, the inside is lined with a grey material. None of the other kettles we looked at had any lining. There is no mention in the product page that comes with the kettle what this material is so you can’t help wondering if it will eventually flake off or dissolve with use. As the kettle is not made in the U.S.A. or Canada, it makes us a little uneasy as to what tests this material was put through.
