I hate having to make several single cups of tea every day. This makes it so easy to steep a fresh pot at just the right temp and keep it warm. It’s very easy to use. There’s no guesswork involved. You add your water based on how much you plan to make. The amounts are clearly marked on the side of the carafe. You set the carafe on the base and select the brewing temp. It has four different brew settings, from green to herbal, plus one for making boiling water. Press the Start button. The maker beeps when the water is at the correct temp so you can add loose tea leaves. (You can also use bags, which would make cleanup much easier, but more expensive.) When the right amount of time has passed for steeping, it will beep again to let you know it’s ready. This tea maker will make 6+ cups, but you can make less. The only thing I can complain about is the beeping–it’s a little loud in an office setting. The mesh strainer is a little difficult to clean, but not too much so. Overall, this is one of my best purchases.

I would like to preface this review with I did a comparison to a toddy cold brew coffee maker.
I love the convenience of being able to brew larger quantities of tea. The multiple temperature setting does eliminate the bitterness of brewing green teas too hot. Overall I am pleased with the performance temperature wise.
I prefer my teas on the stronger side. This teapot despite running several cycles does not brew a strong pot of green tea. The leaves at the top of the infuser don’t even get wet. So adding more tea leaves is clearly not going to help. The max water level Only goes about halfway up the infuser. the infuser allows for sediment. I would’ve liked to have see a large tea bag option offered not a huge deal they are available but it would be nice if the infuser was designed to accommodate a large tea bag. For the price I was extremely disappointed in the design overall. I watched the CNET reviews that stated this was the best in the price range but was sorely disappointed as the reviewer didn’t mention my problems.
There is no instructions stating whether or not the product is dishwasher safe. It would seem to me the high heat parts exposed to water should be dishwasher safe but who knows. I hate hand washing dishes and I don’t want to destroy it.
The tea kettle has an open close knob on the top but it doesn’t open or close anything so if you’re refrigerating leftovers you have no choice but to pour it into something else.
I was looking for a easier option for making 12-16oz glasses of tea in the morning the minimum is 16oz. I disliked the setiment from an infuser. This didn’t solve my problem.
I recommend the toddy cold brew coffee maker over this for tea. It makes a strong pot of tea has paper bag filters similar to a coffee filter and has a decanter that has a leak proof lid. Less dishes and better results.
I use this tea maker to heat tea only. Brewing green tea was highly disappointing.

This tea maker features multiple temperature levels and easily walks you through the steeping process. I had an older one and the pitcher broke so I went straight back to Mr. Coffee for a new one. I LOVE IT!

This kettle is the perfect size. It is very attractive looking and works perfectly. It is perfect for boiling water and to make the perfect tea!

Has five settings for water temperature appropriate for various teas — herbal, black, white, green, etc. The directions are easy to follow the kettle is very efficient: don’t walk away, thinking it will take 20 minutes for the water to boil. It heats up to optimum temperature quickly. So far, I’ve mostly used it for herbal teas and have been pleased. There is lee-way to brew/infuse your tea longer if you want it stronger, but that’s a matter of taste and personal experimentation. One downside is that the way the kettle is designed makes it really difficult to completely dump all the water out of it after rinsing it. It’s even hard to get out by sticking a towel in there to sop up remaining drops. I live in a hot climate where bacteria can build up quickly: They need to improve the spout and lip design on this kettle, so ALL water drains out easily.
