Memory Foam Seat Chair Cushion for Relieves Back Sciatica Pain Tailbone Pain

Love this seat cushion, I use it when I am using my sewing machine and when I am driving.

VERY pleased with this purchase. I have a fantastic ergonomic chair that, after having lost significant weight, was causing some tailbone pain. This product had good reviews and was highly rated so I tried it, and very pleased I did. I’ve been using it for a few months now and half the time forget that I’m sitting on it. Foam stands up well to long periods of sitting, hasn’t flattened in the slightest. Definitely recommend.

I bought this product to be more comfortable when driving my car. I really liked it so much that I bought a second cushion as a present for a friend and he was very pleased as well.

Great quality cushion. It serves its purpose perfectly, I can sit on most seats now with this. The size is great, I expected smaller but it’s a great size.

I purchased this product twice. First in February 2019 and then again in August 2020.
After trying a few different cushions, I found this one to be extremely comfortable and durable. I used it everyday for just over a year until I started working from home in March 2020 due to the pandemic. Unfortunately, I left the cushion at the office thinking that I wouldn’t be working from home for long.

In August 2020, realizing the pandemic wasn’t going to be coming to an end anytime soon, I ordered a second cushion for my home office thinking that it would be the exact same as my first purchase I had made. It was not (see attached images). As soon as I used the second cushion, I felt like the quality was nowhere near as good as the first one. I eventually went back to the office one day and got the original cushion. The pictures I’ve attached clearly show the difference between the size of the first cushion, which I used everyday for over a year, and the second one ,which I’ve only been using for a couple months.

In the images, the cushion on the top is the original one I purchased in Feb 2019. The one on the bottom is the second one I purchased in August 2020. The difference between the two is very noticeable and quite laughable. There is a significant difference in quality, comfort and durability between the two.

There are several items of concern here. One, I’m not sure why Amazon is allowing ROYI to sell two completely different products on the same page. One is clearly more superior than the other as my images show. ROYI is now leveraging the rave reviews from the original product to make sales on an inferior version. Second, I question the business decision ROYI has made here as a brand. You have a premium product that customers clearly value. If it is not profitable, increase the price. You can then sell your inferior product at a lower price to consumers who aren’t looking for the same level of quality. Do not pull a bait and switch and leverage the reviews from your premium product to push a inferior product to new customers. This is a classic sign of poor management trying to make short term gains while compromising long term brand value.

As of late we’ve been upgrading our existing seat cushion to these orthopedic specific designed ones. Previous to that, our seat cushions were very economical and generic (what you normally see at your local drugstores) and we’ve come to learn that they serve no function other than being comfortable, but comes with no actual support. Like our other upgrades, we didn’t want to spend medical grade but still wanted ergonomic features – this nailed both those requirements. Our other upgrade was a honeycomb designed cushion. That was popular with some, but not others. We find this filled memory foam design seemingly more acceptable to more of us – but that’s subjective, to each their own.

Although still very comfortable and a pleasure to sit on, the support is evident right away. The design (the shape and contours) in conjunction with the memory foam does a good job in properly dispersing body weight and gets you in more optimum positions naturally – eg not tiring. With this, it takes pressure away from specific areas that may cause build up after long periods of use. And of course, it makes it that much more natural to achieve better posture all the while being more comfortable. The fabric and general build quality is solid, and we’ve so far washed it a couple of times and it’s no worse for wear. We’ve tried it on a few different types of chair, including a leather office chair and wooden dining chair and it fits both just as well with no sliding.
