I got these with for a very expensive Lodge cast iron pan. You cannot touch the pan without buying the silicon handle, this handle comes with these two scrapers. I found these to be almost useless. The pan isn’t as non stick as I’d hoped despite me seasoning it four times on top of it already being seasoned. Bought a plastic scrubber which is much better. You have to have the silicon handle cover but these scrapers have just gone in the bin. The handle should come with the pan anyway.

I just started cooking on cast iron, and have tried a couple tools to scrape the cooked-on food. These work pretty well. The shape provides different curves to match whatever you are scraping. They are solid enough the cast iron hasn’t worn the edges down at all.
You aren’t supposed to use soap and water on cast iron, but once you’ve finished cleaning the cast iron you can wash these with soap and water to break up and grease or oils that have stuck to the. They clean easily.
I recommend these – they’re inexpensive and effective.

I’ve used these since May 2017 and initially didn’t think they were particularly useful. However, I persevered and now find they are my go-to pan scourers after cooking oil-free egg-fried rice, porridge, or just burning food on the inner base (not intentionally), etc. basically anything that sticks to the bottom or side of the pans.
Personally, I now let the pan soak for a while then the sticky residue just lifts off as the scraper slides underneath. Oven trays/roasting pans need to be soaked a little longer with some diluted washing-up liquid otherwise you risk damaging the pan’s nonstick surface or the scraper.
When I first used them I attacked pans the second they had cooled down and just created a lot of unnecessary work – I did get them clean but it wasn’t the best way to use these scrapers.
They are particularly effective on my Le Creuset Cast Iron Pans where the recipe or food such as porridge, doesn’t call for oil. I didn’t know that the pretty coating on Le Creuset pans is basically glass and over many years have used heavy-duty scourers, sodium bicarb, wire wool, and all sorts of cleaning products that I shouldn’t have. Now the inner coating of my main Le Creuset pan is dull and has no non-stick ability whatsoever yet baked-on casseroles, hot pots, dumplings, porridge, and egg-fried rice all scrape off easily provided the pan has been left to soak.

They are stiff. Completely stiff so getting it to scrape rounded shapes is impossible. Also they are much smaller than you’d expect. Note the measurement before you order. It’s relatively easy to clean but I find silicon spatulas easier to wipe down. You do have to scrub. Also stuff gets stuck in the LODGE embossing.

These have made cleaning my cast iron pans so much easier. They are stiff, the different shapes and sizes of the corners and the sides are perfect for scraping my frying pan, and they stay both cool and hard even when scraping a hot frying pan. I was undecided as to how much of a difference these would really make in cleaning my pan, but they are amazing and will make caring for my cast iron so much easier. Thanks for a great product!

These things work great on anything you don’t wanna take a serious abrasive too (cast irons, enameled pots, etc) and I use them as little bench scrapers to get flour and batter off counters as well. Careful around the handle rivets as I broke a chunk off being a little too aggressive…. Also don’t be an idiot like me and use one on a hot pan…

Brittany Vasseur (vasseurbeauty) on YouTube recommended this and I am so happy I took her advice. Highly recommend. I use it for so many forms of cleaning and it doesn’t create any damage when used delicately. I used to pick at things with my nails or a butter knife but now using this requires minimal effort. The different edges are also very convenient at scraping multiple shapes and surfaces. I haven’t had it for a long time but it seems very durable. I will write another future review if I have any issues with it. So far, 5 stars!

There’s little to say about these items other than they do the job perfectly, whilst not being so abrasive they damage the pans. They’re pretty solid items so haven’t damaged at all, and the shape of them is perfect in that they’re able to be used on all of my pans of any shape and size. They’re a pretty good investment, and seem to be holding up well so I shouldn’t have to replace them too frequently.

I originally bought it when I bought my pans thinking that I wanted to be prepared. I honestly did not find a real to use it for months so it just sat there by my sink. I thought I was wasn’t my money but one day I had to use it as some stuff had burned on to some pans. After soaking the pan a bit, this think worked beautifully. I’ve used it on my stainless steel post and pans as well as needed. It is taught, rigid and the two pack comes in handy in case you lose one. The price is great. The curves on it believer it or no actually fit perfectly into the curves of the pots and pans that I have. Handy tool. It’s one of those things that you can live without but when you use it you are grateful that you do have it

Certain things are going to stick no matter how much you try and season your pan. Having a tool that will help remove the little stuck on bits and pieces is very helpful. I guess you could use something else, but the nice thing about this tool is the different angles it has. Having different angles helps get into the corners and along the sides of the pan. For me, that alone is worth the bit of money these cost.

I admit I had my doubts about their usefulness when I bought these, but I’m really happy I did. In addition to the cast iron skillet, I use them on my wok, my expensive stainless steel pans, and my enameled dutch ovens — anything that needs a little TLC to stay nice. The smart design with rounded end, pointier end, longer and shorter scraping sides and curved side makes it easy to get at the stuff that needs attention in various shaped pans, and they’ve turned out so handy I always keep one in a little cup by my sink. I’m also pleased that it’s a set of two so I have a backup for my now indispensable little helper.

I will start by saying I’ve had this scraper for a couple of years now but I rarely use my cast iron pan so I haven’t used it very many times – no more then 10 at the most.
I was scraping the pan after cooking a steak and a chunk broke off as you can see in the pic. Disappointing since I spent a bit more money to get the name brand Lodge one thinking it would be better. And I don’t feel I was even scraping that hard.

2020 update:
I’m changing this to 5 stars from 3 stars.
With practice and experience you just work around the greasy issue. I can now clean off my cast iron trays, whip around my circular skillets, and even clear out stainless steel pans from scrambled egg in a jiffy.
This pair have taken so much grief and they’re still as good as the day I bought them.
I wouldn’t be without them next to the sink alongside my brush, for keeping my cast iron and stainless cookware clean!
Original review:
They’re ok but your hand/fingers and the scraper can end up really greasy.
You then need to wash your hands and the scraper away from the cookware to avoid soaping it, and then do your usual brush clean with just hot water.
Maybe I’m using them wrong but with just a brush I never seem to get such greasy hands.
Maybe best to scrape second after brushing first?
Then brush again?
