I’m always a little leery about purchasing refurbished PCs – it can be a bit of a mixed bag in terms of what you end up with. In this case, I am totally satisfied with my purchase. On arrival, the PC was well packaged and the box included a new-in-box generic PC and mouse. The outer case was in good shape, with a few very minor scratches as the only signs of wear. While the included mouse and keyboard are obviously very low-end, they work flawlessly and serve the function well enough, even for my wife who can be a bit picky about what she types on.
Opening the case, the internals were clean, although a shot of compressed air into the CPU fan released a cloud of dust that had been hiding under the shrouding. Not a big deal, but more attention could have been spent here before the item was shipped.
My example came with a Western Digital “Green” 240 GB SSD, with a fresh install of Windows 10 installed on the (correctly) MBR-formatted drive (old M93s sometimes don’t get along with GPT drives). Video, audio and all peripherals were fully functional from the first boot. My model included 2 Displayport connections, which greatly simplifies multi-monitor use.
All in, it’s good value for the money spent, and functions well as an office-use PC (web browsing, streaming, email, word processing), although I would not recommend it for anything more data-intensive, such as gaming or video editing.

PC is OK but the keyboard is a noname CHEAP CHEAP one, mouse is also CHEAP CHEAP, Wireless USB dongle provided instead of built in also noname CHEAP CHEAP one, and the AC adapter is so lightweight I wouldn’t even dare to use it – also CHEAP CHEAP one. Good thing I have the original Lenovo adapter from the unit I’m replacing, and will go and buy a quality keyboard and mouse.

Received my M93P today, here are my first impressions about the PC. Note that I’m used to order M92P/M93P at work and setting them up (yes, I’m an IT tech), so I’m starting to know those mini PCs.
The PC itself was packaged correctly in way to prevent any damage in transportation. But the accessories, were lose with only some kind of plastic bag over them. Not that it does really matter to me, but if you’re expecting to use the included keyboard and mouse, even if it is quite small, there is still a risk that they arrive DoA.
Now, the accessories. As many mentioned, don’t expect top quality for the keyboard and mouse. They’re both from a brand that I never heard of and they quite feel cheap. But they do work and might be useful in the future if I need a spare keyboard and mouse. They also both look brand new to me. I’m a little disappointed by the power adapter; while it’s an original Lenovo one, it feels sticky, just like when you remove electric tape and don’t clean up the glue. I know it is used and reconditioned, but I’m still expecting that at least, the items are cleaned. It also came with a USB wireless adapter that also feels not so great. I’m planning to use it wired anyway, but don’t expect to have the original internal wireless cards connected with its antenna, it never happen with all the M92P/M93P I ordered in the past.
Another thing that is really disappointing, while there is a Windows 10 label on the PC, Windows didn’t come pre-installed. That a first for me, usually I get an official Windows 10 refurbished sticker that I had to scratch to reveal the activation key and Windows 10 is already preinstalled, I only have to activate it. So it doesn’t look like an official renewed product. I guess it’s the original Windows key that came with the PC when it was first purchased. This is what I would expect from an used PC sold by an individual, not from an Amazon’s seller. No installation media either, so if it’s your only/first PC, good luck creating a boot disc to install Windows!
Digging a little deeper inside, first thing that I noticed is that the screws were quite easy to remove, I could even unscrew them with my fingers. No tread-lock as well on them, so if you plan to move it around or bring it to other places often, don’t be surprised if you lose a screw or 2. Second thing is the missing wireless internal card. While all other M92P/M93P I inspected in the past did also have a USB wireless adapter and no antenna, they at least still had the internal wireless card. So that might be an issue if you only planned to buy the missing antenna to use it wireless. It came with a ADATA SSD, which is an OK brand and 2 sticks of 4GB RAM, so if you want to update the RAM to 16GB, you’ll most likely need 2 sticks of 8GB. I didn’t spot any dust inside, even the fan looks looks like its first days, on that, I don’t have anything to say, it’s perfect.
The case itself is in great condition, I noticed only a single scratch, else I could swear that it is brand new. All labels are in perfect condition, except maybe the Windows one which has 2 bars in the bar code that are slightly faded out.
My end goal is to setup a small Linux server to mess around, so this is the perfect PC to do so. But I have a strange behaviour from the PC; every time I connect my USB stick, regardless which of the 5 USB ports, the PC just freeze, even caplock on the keyboard doesn’t do anything. If I remove it, everything I did just run, just like it was all queued up waiting for something to end. This is also a first, since I use the same USB stick to reinstall Windows on all the other M92P/M93P we have at work and I don’t experience this issue. I’ll try to check this out, but I surely wasn’t expecting to have to troubleshoot a renewed PC at arrival, especially when the package didn’t look damaged and the PC itself was well packaged.
UPDATE1: While troubleshooting the issue where the USB stick was making the PC freeze, I noticed that legacy boot was turned off, turning it back on, I see that Windows was indeed preinstalled with what looks like a Lenovo image. Google Chrome was already installed, which is strange, since I never saw it preinstalled in the past. So it looks like something went wrong during QA, if any QA was done on the PC. While not that unusual, it is still a bit strange to have Windows 10 on a renewed PC in 2020 installed in legacy mode, especially if the PC fully support UEFI. This mystery still elude me.
UPDATE2: While in Windows, USB stick doesn’t make the system freeze. I did a quick bios update, not sure if it was done before, but with all the things I saw so far, including a slightly outdated version of Windows 10 preinstalled, I wouldn’t be surprised if it also had an old bios version. Unfortunately, the tool didn’t tell me if the latest bios was the one already installed, it just installed it.
UPDATE3: After some research, I noticed that the USB stick making the system freeze at POST might be an old unsolved issue affecting several M93P, so this would be something that Lenovo didn’t fix, not the seller. Seems to happen mostly with some Corsair USB stick. I used an older cheap USB 2.0 stick without any branding on it and I was able to boot from it without any issues. I was able to install a Linux distro just like I wanted and upgrade the mini-PC to 16GB of RAM without any problem. Still a little soon to judge the stability of the system, but so far, it has been running without any problems.

Was absolutely worth it for the price. Performance for office work is very good and it comes with a valid W10 Pro install and license key. Absolutely worth it. Very glad I got these instead of spending 2x the money on a new Acer or some other cheap brand that would have performed as well. Sometimes used is better than new.
