This product is well made, easily sturdy enough for the job. Simple and easy to adjust, easily holds my Huawei P9 in it’s protective case. I haven’t been able to get the blue tooth shutter release device to work, not sure how to do that, no info included, probably just my ignorance in using the phone but some directions would be helpful. Very pleased with the tripod mount overall.

The hard ware is fine and works well. The ‘free’ remote control works well with iPhone. However it was a failure with a Samsung Android phone. Pressing the shutter button altered the phone volume – and nothing else! However as a decent quality phone holder with decent range of adjustment it works fine.

Just received the product but so far it looks great. Bought it to take on vacation. The remote is really powerful! Impressive! I like that my iPhone 8 will even stand up by itself in the mount without being attached to a tripod – handy for times when you don’t have a tripod handy or want to take a shot from near ground level. It’s well thought out. Will see how it stands up to use over the next two years – great to have the 2 year warranty. I bought it to use with my manfrotto mini tripod. I think it’s going to be a great set up! Light but sturdy and versatile too. Have fun!

I have not really used the KobraTech iPhone Tripod Mount with Remote Control yet, beyond testing the holder itself (with my Android S4) and the remote control.
However, I can say that the remote control works insofar as it takes photos, but does not work with video, even with the app recommended by KobraTech.
This is not a deal-breaker for me.
And I like this unit.
Although the screw (on the back of the unit, as you look at it from behind) functions well, I would like to suggest to whoever makes these units that they add some kind of clasp as a lock. I am suggesting this because I have had many kinds of screw-based units (for electronic equipment, and for other items) in which the screws have worked their way loose as the units are moved around. And even though I am forever tightening things like this (out of habit) it would give me more peace of mind if I knew that there is some kind of snap/clasp to lock the unit.

Long before “selfies” were invented we had a thing on real cameras called a “self timer” (and still do); however, with the development of really good smart camera phones I tend to do a lot of photography with my phone, only it lacks a remote trigger and a way of keeping it steady. This unit does it perfectly as I can attach it to my tripod, walk away, compose the shot and press the button. Bluetooth connection was very simple to set up with the remote and has an off switch! Really great.

Arrived quickly. Simple to attach to my existing camera tripod. My Galaxy s21 Ultra fits nicely and seems quite secure. The only issue was getting the remote to work with the camera. After several tries of various apps, of which none seemed to work, it connected and now I am happy, no more blurry pics. Hands-free shots are going to be plenty.

Customer response was very quick when I had a question regarding two buttons on remote. Included instructions do explain what two buttons are for. I was told one is for IOS phones and the other for Android. In fact both buttons do the same for my iPhone so not sure why. They do work great though. The holder looks very versatile but I have a spider tripod that Allows the 360 mobility so will only use one part of two part holder. Have not used outdoors yet. Not sure I like the screw to expand over a spring loaded part but seems sturdy and pretty good quality. So far so good.

I had no trouble pairing the remote shutter release with a LG Phone and also a Hawuei phone. I have a mini tripod fo use on table top photography and this mount fitted to it without any bother, also my fill size tripod. There is plenty adjustment to take either of my two phones. I do a lot of photographing small objects and at my age – 80 my hands are not as steady as I would like. This mount and remote stutter release has proved to be the answer with nice sharp pics. Good size thumb wheels together with a build quality second to none means I would be happy to recommend this piece of equipment to anyone, hence the five stars.

It will screw into my mini tripod via the proper mount/swivel part, but the screw is NOT long enough to go through the PRO-Tripod’s mounting platform … AND, the REMOTE doesn’t work well … far too slow, sluggish and unable to know for sure if it’s turned on or off when trying to use it. You canNOT set it up and be anywhere in front where you need to SEE that it’s turned on or off …

This product is super intuitive and very easy to set up with a tripod. No instructions necessary. The remote control is a breeze to pair with my iPhone and a great bonus feature. The mount is able to hold my iPhone 7 with a Moment wide-angle lens and my Rode directional microphone. I’m pretty impressed by its ability to hold my set up without failing. Honestly, I assumed it would fail. In fact, at first I had pillows surrounding the tripod just in case my iPhone fell out of the mount. I recommend buying this unit given its quality/price ratio. Functionality of the main mount is only OK. There are cheaper ones for half the price that do exactly the same job. You’d have to have low standards to be majorly impressed. Fits my iPhone 7 and some full size tripods and tabletop ones. The swivel lock has to be tightened very firmly to stop swiveling. Box mentions ‘includes 3/8” thread adapter’ but there isn’t one and web page omits this. The box it arrived in immediately looked like this was already opened and used. The mount itself has slight soiling and visible scuffing and scratches. Hard to know if this is down to shoddy manufacturing or if they sent me someone else’s return. The package is missing the carry bag, so I’m going to assume I got fobbed off with someone else’s dissatisfaction. The clicker is easy to pair and use, but feels really flimsy. The iOS button is held in by two tiny tabs and a gentle lift with a fingernail popped it right out. I don’t think this will last long in my pocket or gear bag. On iPhone 7 with iOS 12 when clicker turned on but camera app not active, both buttons just turn up the volume. In the camera app both large and small buttons do the same shutter click, and long press works for burst mode.
