Like just about every other review on this product, it nearly got returned because I couldn’t get it to work. But I used a bit more pressure tightening up and – all OK.
But the problem. I bought this from Amazon ‘used’. In ‘good condition’. I can’t see any imperfections EXCEPT when I first opened the package a couple of small pieces of clear plastic fell out. On examination they were part of one of the ‘lugs/ears’ used to secure the main jug. They’d broken. All else was was fine. But I now have doubts how long this blender will stay in one piece.
That said, the blender is reasonably powerful and the volume is easily enough for 1, 2 maybe more people.

Feels sturdy, easy to use and clean. It’s the perfect size for a smaller family. Was a bit of a challenge learning how to pop the lid off, but a quick google search helped me out with it. Perhaps I was missing it in the instructions but I didn’t see it. It’s $20 cheaper than at Walmart! Works well and didn’t have any issues with smell. Used it for a few things and most recently, to chop some pecans for some pie. Worked perfectly!

The first time I used this item, I made 2 batches of bars (1/2 cup walnuts, 1/2 cup dried cherries, 1/2 cup pitted medjool dates, all that fit comfortably in the container) and processed them on purée setting. By the time the 2nd serving was halfway mixed, the base of the processor started smoking and it smelled like burned plastic. I unplugged it and it still smoked for a few more seconds. Doubt it is safe to use again (hummus might have started up a fire). Not worth the price.

This thing does a decent job when you can get it to turn on. For some reason, getting it to lock in place is far more complicated than it should be. I don’t consider myself mentally challenged but that’s how my wife and I feel when we try to get this appliance going. If there’s a simpler one out there, go for that one instead. Getting close to throwing this one against a wall.

I’ve been a Kitchen Aid fan for 15+ years and have never been as let down as I was with this product. I had a beefy processor my mom gave me and I used it almost daily for 10 years, in the end it was the plastics on the bowl that went. I then purchased a Ninja Blender/processor combo and was not happy with that so when I saw this little green machine on Prime Day – I scooped it up – thinking it would be perfect for nacho dips, and crushing up nuts and cookies for baking. I used it once and it worked ok. I went to use it a few days later and now it won’t turn on. Took it apart and put it back together several times, read the instructions 3-4 more times – maybe I’m missing something?? But nothing. Now it’s Friday night and I have to wait until Tuesday to call customer service as it’s a holiday weekend here. I hope they replace or refund. Not a happy camper.

Works well. Lid is a little finicky but once you understand the mechanism it shouldn’t be a problem.
I wish it came with different blades for different applications. Kind of bummed out on that. The blade it comes with does not reach very low so you need to have a minimum for it to work. I tried to make hollandaise sauce and I needed at least 3 yolks for it to blend properly.
Tried to make salsa and it turned into a soup fairly quickly. I think different blades could solve this.
Also the quality is not the what I expected from a Kitchen aid. I would give it 3.5 stars but I can’t do half stars so I am rounding down so that kitchen aid hopefully sees this message. If they change this to include different blades and send me them I will happily change to 5 stars.

No clue why it has any high ratings. I bought it because I’m broke and wanted a food processor because they’re awesome, and based on other reviews, I thought this would hit the spot until I make it big. It’s an absolute piece of garbage. It’ll do fine for throwing together stuff like mousses, or homemade puddings and such, but don’t expect much when solids get involved. Thing barely breaks up ice.

*** UPDATE ***
I was using it just now for hummus and it started smoking and smelling like burnt plastic. Can’t find any contact/help link to contact the seller or amazon! Please contact me.
a very handy little processor. I was sceptical about all that plastic construction, but decided to get it. now use it every day and so far it works perfectly and makes life so much easier!
