This is a nightmare. I bought this and several other KES products. All of the items from KES are impossible to mount properly and securely due to poor design. I’ve installed many towel bars, toilet paper holders, hooks, shelves and more, but never ran into such a poor design. Because I was doing a renovation that took much longer than expected, I have missed the return window. These are great looking products and feel good quality, but a product is only as good as it’s weakest component. The seller says KES stands for Keep Everything Simple and nothing could be further from the truth. What a waste of money. Avoid at all costs.

I purchased three of these shelves for one of our upstairs bathrooms, stacking them in-line vertically. Although they come without instructions, installation was relatively easy. I was able to attach each left-hand bracket to a vertical wall stud for added security and safety. And for the right-hand brackets, I used stronger walls mounts than the ones shipped with the product, just to be sure they were mounted firmly. Now these shelves aren’t going anywhere! The brushed-nickel brackets are beautiful and match our double sink faucets perfectly. The tempered glass shelves are quite thick and strong, and are held very securely by the brackets. If you’re looking for a contemporary-styled glass shelf, this is a great option at a very reasonable price.

Title says it all, but just so others are aware, the way the bracket is installed you need to slide the cover-piece up the bracket you fasten to the wall, which requires a tight 5.5″ of clearance beneath the shelf on the wall to do.
I only mention it because where I planned to install it there is a lip where the bathroom tile on the wall ends, and because of this mounting process I had to install the shelf higher than I would’ve preferred to make that 5.5″ clearance.

You’ll find no better, quite possibly not nearly as good elsewhere. The glass is thick and fault free with perfectly smooth edges with a tiny radius to the corners one side that you put at the front. I chose the brushed nickel brackets, which look smart, as sometimes chrome can look cheap. The nickel colour is neutral and rather like a light silver. The original packing is high quality and protects the item well plus, of course, the Amazon box that was it was placed in together with a book I ordered at the same time. Although the item originally comes from HK, it was fulfilled my Amazon, who evidently hold stock, and arrived in quickly.

My builder put it up in around 10 mins so I can’t comment on how easy it would be for anyone else. As it’s hung on tiles, he used a diamond tipped drill bit so knew what he was doing. He threw away the screws and rawl plugs supplied as he said those he used are better and that’s always the case with supplied fixings. Anyway it is sturdy and looks good so I’m happy.

I am so happy with this item, not only does it look good, the glass is quite thick and its a very sturdy shelf. It was also easy to install. I would defiantly recommend this item because its real value for money.

I used these shelves in my living room instead of the bathroom or kitchen because who says you can’t put them elsewhere! They look amazing. The glass and the chrome hinges add such a nice touch to any modern look in any room. These took a bit longer to put up than usual because of the wall that we have.. studs, drywall,etc. There was no issues putting these up, it was just our wall that caused the delay. The shelves were packaged very nicely and there was no scratches or chips on the glass or the chrome hinges. All the parts were included and we did not have to go out any buy any extras, which is always a bonus! The glass is thick and very durable. I wouldn’t put heavy pieces on this, but it is good to know that the glass is shatter resistant. I appreciated the instructions that the shelves came with, but also all the information that was on the Amazon product page. I may also mention that all the information was correct and the instructions were easy to follow! The product was also priced reasonably and I believe that I got value for my money. I would highly suggest that you buy these shelves for extra storage or an accent piece, you won’t be disappointed.

The one thing you can say about this shelf, is that it is rock solid once installed onto your wall. We’ve installed ours in our wetroom for holding shampoo and shower gel bottles. It is sturdy, rock solid.
Perhaps a liitle on the difficult to keep clean side, I mean it’s in the shower and is therefore bound to get covered in soap scum and water marks, but once cleaned up, it looks superb.
On the small side too, but we knew that when purchasing, and we only wanted it as a place to put the shampoo and shower gel.

I bought 2 of these and they are fabulous in every way! Easy to put up and look very smart! One is over my wash basin for toothbrush mug and toothpaste, the other holds smelly candles! Very strong fittings that I am sure will not fail!

Used these marvelous glass shelves in a small bathroom – for much needed storage. Lovely! So pleased – thank you for offering these at such a reasonable price. I was thrilled with KES’s exceptional customer service. Lexie was just great. One set of wall fasteners came incomplete, and not with the chrome finish I had anticipated. I just needed a replacement, and didn’t wish to send back the glass shelf, which was perfect. No problem. She immediately replaced them with a new set, sent directly from the factory in China. Thank you so much KES, and Lexie! Wonderful supplier on Amazon. Highly recommend.

very straightforward. came with no instructions but if you’ve ever mounted anything on a wall you’ll figure it out rather instantly. the glass is thiccccc it’s so beautiful and the mounts are pretty cute too. although i wish they had a gold finish option.
because of their size, it’s so easy to customize where/how you use them. for example I staggered mine 🙂 you could also have a bunch in a straight line.
NOTES:
you obviously need a screwdriver, but this item requires (legit requires. you don’t want these glass babies falling down) drywall anchors. and the put those in you need an electric drill and drill bits.
also I noticed on a couple of the mounts, that black plastic that sandwiches the glass, it protrudes a little too much at the end, making it unable to reach the wall and slide up the other piece. no biggie but I just needed to borrow a wire cutter to trim it. if you don’t have one a good strong pair of scissors would probably get it done, or an exacto knife. just be careful when cutting
as someone mentioned as well, the glass is not COMPLETELY set in stone. because the length of the L brackets are a little short, there isn’t enough support the further out the glass goes. it’s not a big deal, they aren’t likely to fall unless you roughhouse around them. so when i lift the piece of glass from the bottom, theres a sliver of space and it lifts up just slightly. I screwed my – uh chrome-y things – in as tight as i could and it still did it. but like i’m not gonna be lifting the shelf UP ever lol i just put things on it so it’s really no big deal. it might be unnerving but as long as the base (closest to the wall) is tightened thoroughly, it should be fine.
oh you’re also gonna want a leveler too. they have apps for it.
i just installed mine today and so far soo good. but i will update if anything catastrophic happens lol

overall sooo pretty and expensive looking and the DIY/customizable aspect is a fun lil bonus

I bought the 13” for getting things off of the vanity now that we have sanitizer, sunscreen, etc I also bought the19” for above the towel rack to hold extra hand towel. Easy to install. Glass was flawless. 2 small scuffs on the brushed nickel – not too noticeable. Good price compared to hardware store. It was very well packaged.
