I bought this 9 Pin Y-Cable for my 18 Wheeler Power Unit. I used it connect my Federally Mandated ELD deivice which did not come with a 9 Pin cable/Connector/Adapter. The price was great and it was relatively easy to install. This Y-Cable allowed me to connect the ELD Device and still have a 9-Pin port open for future mechanic diagnostics. The only thing that was difficult about this Y-Cable is that the fit was too tight and I could not connect my ELD device to it initially. This was easily remedied by taking a plastic head push pin(The type you use to hang posters on drywall) and widening out the female side pins holes on the Y-Cable Adapter before attaching the ELD device. After this procedure, the fit was still tight but it allowed me to connect my ELD device to the Y-Cable Adapter.

When combined with the correct correct code reader it works great. I recommend Xtuner CVD-16. Anyone trying to use elm327 will be disappointed as they do not work on commercial vehicles.

Stopped working after 6 months. Tried to email the the company and got NO responses. DO not buy their POS products.
