Blender stopped working after two uses. The plastic on the inside is not durable and seems to have destroyed itself during spinning. These complaints seem to be uncommon but, I cannot recommend this blender, it’s hit or miss.

Arrived within just 2 days with free shipping. I’ve made 6 different smoothies since it arrived and it works flawlessly and super easy to clean, I like being able to take the jar off and drink straight from the cup with the included drinking lid (It’s not a 100% spill and leak-proof sealed travel mug keep in mind but cap does stay on snug and closes drinking hole sufficiently for me, if knocked over it wont spill out I tried it a few times). Blends very well when done properly and no complaints. Although I noticed from googling around that there are lots of people who don’t know how to use them properly, DO NOT jam it with ice cubes first and absolutely no liquid and wonder why it’s not crushing, or with large fruit and vegetable pieces so it’s not even touching the blades, start with a few shorter pulse hits to get things going, it’s a personal blender not a large restaurant version or food processor, PUT LIQUIDS/YOGURT FIRST THEN ADD ICE LATER, you can also just give a little shake to loosen things up gravity will take care of the rest, it only weighs about a couple pounds so actually not that heavy to lift and shake if needed, and don’t overfill, add more stuff in after blended if you want. JUST LET GRAVITY DO ITS THING.
My smoothies mostly included 5-6 large ice cubes, frozen banana and frozen mix berries and fruits, some plain yogurt and almond milk, even a little peanut butter and they turned out amazing, crushed the ice easy no problems, tried a veggie version with spinach, kiwi and avocado came out great in just seconds. Lots of recipes to try out now so for 20 bucks this is a great personal blender that gets the job done easily, I recommend it.

*Update 2 weeks later….after making a number of smoothies and some iced coffee smoothies which came out amazing, did some googling and calculating, based on the average prices of fast food places and smoothie places in the malls etc, at one large smoothie or iced coffee smoothie per day, it saved me about 98 dollars, so not a bad deal for 20 bucks. (and the money I saved from making them at home I instead gave to the local cancer sick kids hospital, so it all worked out great).

This product is definitely worth the money. Hopefully, it will be durable, also. Not sure if the blender blade is removable, but it seems to be threaded on. I will definitely need replacements for this occasionally, as the blade is really small and the little ‘cogs’ that match up with the drive hub on the base – are made of some kind of weak-looking white plastic. Overall – after a week of use – this is an amazing little smoothie-maker. Just don’t try blending really hard or frozen food, as the motor and drive mechanism likely would not appreciate it!
    Buy one! They’re great!

I basically used this item less than 10 times and now it’s in garbage. Last time I tried to turn it on, i start noticing the milk is coming out from the motor in the base. I was scared because of the electric hazard so i unplugged it immediately and threw it into the garbage.

Edited review: I originally gave this blender a 2 Star review because it was my 2nd one and the jar cracked after a month of use for the specific purpose of making bulletproof coffee and regular dishwasher use. My bad, I guess I’d forgotten or possibly never read the user’s manual because it clearly shows an illustration showing to hand wash the jar and lid and there is an actual statement saying NOT for the use with hot beverages. I used my original one for a few years for making protein shakes and it worked great, the jar didn’t crack until a few weeks of using it for coffee. But it definitely does not work for hot liquids. Total user error. 😉

It’s been a couple of months since I started using this blender. I use it to make two smoothies every weekday morning. It blends everything smoothly. The key is to put the liquid in first, so that liquid is at the bottom by the blade. Milk, yogurt, apple sauce… anything like that goes at the bottom. Then add frozen fruits and dry foods like oats. In a few quick pulses, just a few seconds, everything is drinkable. This was a worthwhile purchase.

I bought this product 6 months ago and it died out this week, I called Hamilton Beach for a warranty claim and had the worst customer service experience ever. They refused to accept my Amazon invoice and demanded proof of delivery which nobody keeps for 6 months. Long story short, I complained to Amazon and they promptly replaced the same but I can’t believe that the original manufacturer and seller is so bad! Hope someone from Hamilton Beach’s customer service management team learn something from Amazon!

It’s literally making huge noises, but cannot even shred vegetables or fruit as soft as cucumbers, it could shred oranges tho. I’m very disappointed.

So the plastic thats at the bottom is not great, it goes at high speed (obv its a blender) and since its just plastic (Don’t know about plastic quality) it can easily break over time (as it did for me)
I made smoothies every morning, and now i’m returning it hoping for a refund or another one to be shipped. Just be warned! (otherwise it was very good, very comfy, I could bring the drink everywhere I wanted, and it was a GOOD blender and blended my fruits well. I perfer this way more than a big blender. I just wish it didnt break so easily lol.)
