I ordered the product and expected 5 days to deliver, but imagine my surprise when it arrived within 24hrs.

Anyways, it’s a simple Canon replacement remote for 1/6th the price.
Comes with a velvet case, and can be attached to a key chain.

It’s simple to use, if you just follow the instructions provided in your Camera manual or look online.

    thanks

It works; I don’t like that I have to be cm’s from the camera for them to work; a few inches away would be a big improvement.

I’m an architectural photographer, and wanted to be able to trigger the shutter while standing somewhere else in the room lighting the the shot with a handheld light. This remote came quickly, and I tried it out right away. Overall I’m happy. The only thing I wish I had thought of before buying it is that you have to be in front of the camera for it to see the remote’s signal, and trigger the shutter. I was hoping to use it from behind or to the side, which doesn’t work. But this of course should be obvious to me, so that’s my fault.

Its just okay. It does work for my Canon 80D. No instructions but I figured it out on Youtube. Just turn on camera, make sure its set viewfinder like you’re about to take a pic through view finder, press the drive button on the top of camera to quickly get to the timer settings. The timer can also be found under menu but this way is faster, scroll over to 10 seconds (but it will also say 10sec/remote) select it and then pose in front of the camera. Important Note: You have to hold the remote in the front range of the infrared thingy located on the front of your camera, otherwise it won’t work. I wish it had a bigger range. Its silly to hold your arm out to try and push the button instead of being able to pose the way you want. But the remote and the infrared thing have to be lined up.

A great cheap solution for when you need a remote. I don’t expect it to hold up to daily use or anything like that, but if you’re looking for something that lets you operate your camera remotely when you need to, this certainly works!

I found this remote hard to set up (it did not come with directions I had to find them online) and does not have a good range to take a photo. It did not serve the purpose I was trying to use it for but it worked if you were close to to the camera and pointing directly at the camera

if your camera supports it – get one!! taking photos while you are in front of the camera is so much easier with this device!

It worked for Canon 80D. Just select drive mode on your camera, set it on timer 2 or 10 sec. ( doesn’t matter) now you can just press button on remote. There will be no delay time, except for focus. You can also use it in Bulb mode. Same principle: set camera to Bulb mode, set Drive mode to 10 or 2 sec delay, press remote button. Camera open up curtain and if it has display it will show you elapsed time. When you decide, it’s enough, press remote button again. Camera curtain will close. It’s simple. Be noticed, the Remote has 2 seconds delay switch. If you slide switch on remote toward digit 2 and press the shutter release button on it, your camera will have 2 seconds delay before shutter release, even if your camera mode set to single shot without delay.
In two words: great control, good price. No regrets.

My daughter had a Canon EOS Rebel T5i and this little gem allows her to be in all our photos. Please consult your owners manual to pairs the Foto Tech. Canon is not as intuitive as Apple when you have to pair two devices. But once set up it worked well. It would be interesting to know if you have to re-pair the Foto Tech after you switch batteries.

Was going to get the others for $20 or $30 more, but it turns out this works out perfectly for much much less money. Downside is you get ZERO instruction on how to use it. Not hard to figure out (I have limited experience with DSLR). The model I have is Canon T2i from almost 10 years ago.

All you do is switch on the Timer options by pression on the “left” arrow button on the back of the camera. Then select the one with the remote icon. Now, press the remote to take a picture.

On the back of the remote, there is a little toggle switch that you can push towards the number “2”. I turns out if you toggle the switch to the “2” position, now there is a 2 seconds delay from when you press the remote, to when the camera actually takes the picture.

That’s exactly what I needed for my A pic a day setup. My team member walks in to office, press the remote, look at the camera, then the camera takes the picture. Couldn’t have asked for more. Super easy and super economical.

A very small unit. Easy to misplace. Has hole for lanyard. Works with my Canon cameras.
