I have an older tri-pod that has a 1/4″ male screw for attaching the camera mount.
I purchased a new ball head for the tri-pod but it required a a 3/8″ male screw for mounting on the tri-pod..
These 1/4″ to 3/8″ screw adapters solved the problem.
These screw adapters come in a package of five…I only needed one but for nine dollars it is still an inexpensive fix.

Does exactly what it says, worked fine for mounting a Manfrotto head (3/8) onto a Slik tripod (1/4)

What I Like:
-Easily remove and install with a metal slot that accepts flat head screw drivers
-Smooth to screw on and off
-Tightens on fairly solid
What I Don’t Like:
-The tops are solid metal with a slot for screw drivers so they may not screw all the way onto your tripod/etc. They just don’t have the depth for it.
Conclusion: I bought these without really thinking or paying attention, but it turns out that my tripod head came with one so I didn’t really need it in the end. Make sure to double check before buying! These do work pretty well although they may not have enough depth and may leave a weird gap between the tripod plate and the bottom of the screw. In practice that has not affected performance, but it’s not exactly aesthetically pleasing and drives me mad because I’m a bit OCD about perfect fits. Overall they work fine though.

Foto&Tech 5 Pieces Metal 1/4″ to 3/8″ Convert Screw Adapter for Tripod Monopod Ballhead is a life saver when the opening is 3/8″ and you need 1/4″. One of my five screw adapters would not screw in to my ball head, I guess it was not machined properly, at least I had four more to work with!

Product is as described: I used a couple for a monopod & a mini-tripod so I can out a ball head on either. Price was right considering I now have extras for just in case I get some new gear. Delivery was delayed due to a postal workers’ strike at the time-but Amazon Prime deliveries are usually quite prompt.

Expensive, but does the job.

Using it with a fluid head that I wanted to attach to a different set of tripod legs and required the smaller thread size than the 1/4″ head supports. Does the job and thankfully they come packaged in a resealable bag so you can use that to carry them around (since they’re so small that they’re prone to getting lost). The bottom has a slot head to you can use a screwdriver or knife to remove it from the threading if you’ve screwed it in too tightly.

Item as described. For anyone else confused how this works, it literally turns your 1/4″ screw (typically found on monopod/tripod heads) into a 3/8″ screw (typically found on the base of separately bought tripod heads). What I did was screw this into the tripod ballhead I bought for my monopod with a screw driver. Notice how one end has a flat opening? That’s where you put something (e.g. a flathead screw driver) and then start turning like you are putting in a regular screw. After the screw is inside your tripod ballhead (or whatever else you’re using this for), you screw that object ontop of your original 1/4″ mount on the tripod/monopod/whatever. Yes, you can put the screw in by hand, but you will not get a tight fit like this. An alternative would be to screw this onto the tripod/monopod mount, then the tripod ballhead/etc. ontop of it. In either case, you will likely need a flathead to remove the screw from whatever 3/8″ item you’re using.
My only complaint is 5 screws is a bit much, and you definitely can find these on other third party sites (ebay, aliexpress, etc.) or even third party sellers on Amazon for MUCH cheaper. They honestly are all the same, but the difference is this is Prime eligible and I can’t afford to wait 1-2 months.

Rating: 5 of 5 good service items perfect no flange like on some others.

The little part like this came out of my Zhiyun Crane 2 from the bottom. After some searches and reading, I guessed that this would fit to replace that little part. I was right. They’re little metal threads, so my guess is the build quality is good enough – so far it’s worked well as a replacement. Not a perfect fit, but it works for getting the tripod of the gimbal into the bottom of the gimbal.

Does exactly what it says it does.
