We used this to replace a slightly lighter podium that was so badly damaged it was embarrassing to have it in the squad room. Now, it did have a couple barely noticeable chips in it, which I actually expected. It’s clean, smooth and sturdy.
What I absolutely hate about it is the packaging material. Seriously, it was a hindrance. You need a good hose on a vaccuum and a least one massive rubbish bag. The Styrofoam guarding this thing was static as hell and big. When I broke it down, all the bits came off and attached to everything.
Took me 30 minutes to clean up the packaging material.

Very handy for any Minister or even Public speaker. I needed it to look more professional for my Public speaking classes, that were recorded each semester. This is a sturdy product, with a good finish. It was so easy to put together that my 15yr. old daughter assembled it for me. It’s pretty tall. Everywhere else I checked offered outrageous prices. The Mahogany Lectern even let’s me put my laptop on it without falling. The front storage comes in handy as well.

I purchased this Lectern to use during classes at a local gun range. This is an economy style podium, made of pressed wood and veneer. It would be nice if they offered a wider model as once you put a laptop on it you are out of room for notes or other reference material. What this podium is though is a very good value for anyone on a limited budget. I found it to be very easy to assemble and looked good. The shelf is a nice idea but sits unsecured on four small pegs, if you move it even a couple of inches while retrieving items from it, the shelf and contents all hit the floor. Bottom line its inexpensive and functional.

So it’s not sturdy, I can’t place the final locks, and the ‘easiest’ part of placing the shelving was also difficult, because the piece for those were too small.
The ‘cam post’ grips were sharp and cut into my skin, so I have a feeling those weren’t going in properly, which made everything else slant.
The whole ensemble requires the three main slabs to fit perfectly and support one another for the locks in place. Only, they are all now at an awkward angle, and I can’t fit all of them. I wanted to start over, but the locks are now stuck in place, so I’ll have to make it work.
Support isn’t great because the overall setup is flawed. I much prefer assembly that has outside screws, not inner.

I ordered 4 of these podiums and 2 out of the 4 showed up with damaged parts. Assembly wasn’t that difficult. These remind me of Ikea furniture. It’s a heavy podium once put together. The customer service from the Seller was OKAY. I didn’t feel like there was much sympathy for my situation. I was on a tight time frame and I needed the parts soon so I had to order a 5th podium hoping that it will show up un-damaged, replacing the parts that are.
The seller told me they couldn’t ship one out right away. I sent them pictures and they said they have to file a claim with the manufacturer (from china), then they can hopefully refund me for my 5th purchase.
I am crossing my fingers at this point that the 5th podium shows up in time for my event, that that it’s not damaged, and that I get a refund for it. I’ll update this if it doesn’t go that way.
