I’m totally happy with this given the cheap price. I had to do post-editing to whiten my background more but it was quick and easy and sufficient for my website and products at this stage in my business.

Softbox lighting kit was straightforward to assemble except no instruction for necessary step of removing plastic cap from threaded end of tripods – otherwise softbox doesn’t fit on properly. Construction is more solid that comparably-priced kits. Fitted corners to white diffuser covers for softboxes is a nice touch. Everything worked fine straight out of the box. The CFL bulbs have 5500K color temperature but Color Rendering Index is only 80-85 – it looks white until you compare it to an LED bulb with 5500K color temperature but CRI of 95. Still, should be good for many applications.

I was presently surprised about the quality I got for that price. Sure it’s not pro-studio equipment but it’s all a beginner or semi-pro would need. One piece in the set was broken, which the seller replaced immediately. Contacting the seller was easy through Amazon. I was expecting long waiting times but the response came within minutes and the issue was resolved. So really thumbs up here.

Sometimes Amazon shoppers either forget or are unaware that they can actually contact sellers for support with items they’ve purchased or are considering to purchase. Sure, it’s frustrating when something doesn’t arrive on your doorstep 24 hours or 1.21 gigawatts from the time you purchased the item, and yes sometimes the item you purchased arrives with a defect, which could have happened anywhere along the line from seller to amazon warehouse to all the shipping in between.
I purchased the Emart 900w lighting kit and it unfortunately arrived with a dead bulb, so I contacted EMARTUS and informed them that one of the bulbs wasn’t working and they expedited a replacement, no questions asked. Emart makes the kit, not the bulb, but still stood behind the items offered in their kit.
The product itself works just as described which is perfect for beginners as well as supplemental light for basic photos, vlogging, etc. These are continuous lights, as stated clearly in the title, not to be confused with ‘strobes’. Continuous light is a great way to learn because what you see is what you get. At this price, this is a great way to learn and if/when you do upgrade to strobes, these are still great for supplemental lighting for photos and video.

These lights are a total hit! Night and day difference in my video shoots, and they’re super easy to set up, adjust and pack away. Colour of light is perfect, and they stay constant where I hear some budget lights change over time. I’ve used them for long shoots, no problem. Fantastic value at the price. Would recommend them to any you tuber/videographer who wants to up their game but is not ready for $400+ light boxes. These do the trick.

I purchased these lights for my office studio, and straight out of the box, the quality is surprising. The tripod, while light duty, is sturdy. The fasteners and clamps don’t feel like they’re going to break like some other lights. Another plus is that they don’t feel overly tippy. I did purchase some sandbags in case of this, and it looks like I won’t really need them all that much. Light output is OK–they’re not super bright, but what do you expect? The box itself feels again like good quality. The arms snap into place nicely. The socket is made of thick plastic that feels solid and not cheap. Considering I bought a Neewer 24×24 softbox back in March 2020 for the same price as these two lights, these are a steal.

This is not a professional lighting set up. It is light weight, and I doubt it could take very many rides in a truck on the way to a shoot. However , it does the job for enhancing your appearance while you are streaming content or using it for Zoom meetings. I haven’t used it for photography, but I am sure it would be fine. If you have the space leave it assembled and in place. It is good value, if you have realistic expectations.
One caveat, if you are streaming from a smaller sized space like a bedroom, choose something more compact like an LED panel. These lights take up quite a bit of space. These are studio sized lights.

In needing better lighting for video conference calls, I debated between soft box lights and a ring light. I decided to go this route for four reasons: 1) the reviews on the comparably priced ring lights indicated that many broke within months time, 2) these plugged into regular outlets, not USB ports, 3) I prefer the balanced lighting of a dual light system instead of a singular, head-on light (reduces glare on glasses, etc), 4) I liked having the flexibility for other uses (maybe some content videos that aren’t lit for one person talking into the camera, etc). So, even though this felt a bit overkill for what we needed, these benefits encouraged me to go this route. I went with this brand in particular because of the additional sandbags.
These lights set up easily and store compactly – double bonus. When putting the bulbs in for the first time, one bulb “blew” rendering it useless. We had another bulb that wasn’t as high wattage, but could test the light fixture to verify that it worked fine. I contacted the company and their response was quick, professional, and kind. They issued an order for replacement bulbs which we received. Oh…and the sandbags…well, we haven’t filled them with sand yet (and the light stands are stable enough without them, if you are careful walking around them). But, I’m still glad we have them and could see them being useful.
Overall, we’re very happy with these. The footprint (all the stands and such) is bigger than a single ring light, and it won’t hold your phone for you while you make your video, but if you want something more substantial with better longevity, I’d recommend these!

Needed these to provide additional fill light for Zoom classes from home. Of the two lights included only one worked out-of-the-box. The second one failed within the first few minutes due to a faulty electrical cable: when the cable to the light socket was moved, the light would flicker due to a bad internal connection. I took the socket apart and found one of the two power wires loose in its terminal –a dangerous condition that can lead to overheating and electrical fire. The problem is that the wiring is very thin and cheap and doesn’t fit the lamp socket terminal properly. I had to rework the terminal ends to restore proper operation.
You do get two complete sets of hardware for a decent price but the electrical termination is super-cheap and potentially hazardous. The problem is that the thin wiring and lamp socket terminals are not sized properly for each other and they could pull-out over time and use depending on how well they were built at the factory.

Good lighting kit for home Studios. Lightweight. Good warm light. No flicker, easy to assemble and comes with tripod very easy to setup. overall good.

I like the lights. Easy to assemble. I wish there was a way to adjust the brightness however for this price these are perfect. One of the light covers in my order came with a stain (see pics) but these work just fine for what I need a few YouTube videos. Also came with the reflector thingy shown in the pictures which was a nice surprise. Wish everything was so crumpled because I’m not sure if I can steam the wrinkles out but otherwise I say it’s good value for your money. Definitely a better deal than buying a ring light in my opinion. Also when I first turned the lights on one of the bulbs was dimmer than the other so parts weren’t lighting up but after turning it off and on a few times it kicked in just as bright as the other one. Not sure how long these will last or where I can find bulb replacements.

I have purchased over 5 different soft boxes from Amazon, all of them GREAT! This time I cheaped out and went with soft boxes that were $20 cheaper. Mistake. The c-stands are cheap, the internal part of the soft boxes are cheap, it took forever to force the soft box open because it’s not fluid, it came with smaller bulbs than other soft boxes and again, it’s cheap.
Pay the extra money and get the more expensive soft boxes.

**UPDATE**
I have been using this kit for over a year, and it has been nearly flawless. The stands are a little top heavy when fully extended, but otherwise they are great. The other problem is one of the two zippers broke.
In short, you should buy this kit. It is great!
After reading the reviews and watching the videos, I decided to pull the trigger on this 2 light softbox setup.
It is well worth the money.
Granted, they are a little tippy when fully extended, but if you are careful, it’s not too bad. I set them up for 6 hours, and never had an issue.
Bright, even, soft light, which is exactly what it should be, for hours without any issues.
Surprisingly, everything collapsed back into the carrying bag easily, without any hassle.
If you are concerned with the stands tipping over, buy some aquarium gravel, and using gallon sized plastic bags, make your own weights.
I would not hesitate to buy these again.
