Unusable.
Turn off alone after 2 days of working

I liked that it looked in great shape, was quiet and running HW monitor on it seemed to be running pretty cool as compared to my 9010 Optiplex which is very close to this one (7010 Optiplex). I’ve got my 9010 hooked up to my TCL 50 inch tv using a display port to HDMI adapter and it works fine. So, I tried using the adapter with this 7010, but all I was getting was squiggly lines, i.,e, it looked like a bad video card (although I think this is integrated graphics) or something. So, I start asking for a return authorization, but the next day, Friday, I received a Dell Ustrasharp 24 inch monitor which has a vga cable and to my surprise the 7010 and ultrasharp work together fine! So, I’m thinking I basically bought this for my neighbor, an elderly lady who will use it for email, shopping Amazon and Instacart, and watching movies it will suit her purposes fine with a vga to HDMI adapter. I’ve ordered a display port to display port cable and if it works even better, but if not I can still settle for this ‘puter, right? Today, Monday (I’ve had it for a total of 4 1/2 days), I turn it on look away and when I look back I see the message fixing drive c. Huh? So, after it finished booting I ran Crystal Disk Info on it and see that it was a fast drive, i.e., 7200 rpm, but as for the disk health I get the yellow caution warning that this drive is ready for a complete meltdown.
POC = 10597 (power on count)
POH= 17550 (power on hours)
So, it’s had a lot of use. I expect a used hard drive perhaps one as many hours as this one has, but I do believe they should run a hard drive check to see if it’s about ready to crash permanently1
I still think I may keep it as I can pick up a used “refurbished” and I don’t know what that means concerning hard drives, but if I run Crystal Disk on it and get a “good” rating it will probably last for the life of the rest of the computer and I can get one “refurbished” for $20 or a new one for$50.
Update June 3rd
After I wrote that I tried this computer with a Dell 24″ Ultrasharp that I received the next day and the display was fine with the VGA cable. Out of curiosity I tried the display ports again on the 50″ TCL and after 75-90 secondsI was getting a great picture on the TCL using the display port to HDMI adapter on both ports! There’s something I haven’t fathomed yet because I don’t think you’re supposed to be blind during the boot process, but I’m sure I’ll learn what that is as time goes on.
Update: 03 June 2020 Received hard drive $18.95 a Seagate Pipeline 500GB (that I purchased from another vendor) and ran Crystal Disk Info on it and got a good report with 2 poweroncounts and 1 hour working. So, essentially I got a new drive I installed windows and am good to go now.
Update 09 October 2021
I upgraded the rating, because all in all I’m pretty happy with this ‘puter. I decided to keep it for myself and also used a display port to dvi (or dvi-d) adapter for the Ultrasharp and the picture is perfect.
Also, upgraded to a 500 GB SSD and once you’ve had an SSD you can’t go back to mechanical for your system drive. Also put one in an HP 8460P that I just recently picked up here on Amazon. I must be lucky because it was in PERFECT shape and is probably the most well-built and attractive laptop made. Shame it’s getting old but it’s perfect to work on and for my purposes. I’m going to do a review on it soon.

Product recieved is not as advertised in the picture. I thought I was ordering the optiplex 7010 with the standard atx motherboard and IO Shield that is displayed in the pictures. Instead what I got is the SSF version. Not the same. It appears that because they are the same specs they think they can trick someone. This is false advertising!

Have had this computer for almost 1 month now and it is excellent so far! Upgraded the ram to 16 GB and put a 2GB video card (GT 1030)and a SSD in it and it’s awesome!

Advertised as 2016 unit, stated 2013 on top of case! Checked hard drive made in 2008! 10 Years old. Super ripoff! Got to admit the inside was clean as can be. That does not make up the age of the components. You should be pulled from ever selling anything ever! False advertisement/deception! Yes very unhappy! Returned to Blair! Rip off!!!!!!!!

This is the best refurbished unit I have bought in my 45 years of using new and used computer equipment. This unit was packed very well, it is very clean inside and outside….. connected and powered on and it worked right out of the box, not any garbage pre-installed either…… Nice unit and even my wife was surprised and she does not like me buying refurbished products. Thanks Blair Technology Group for nice unit at a great price.

I bought this computer as a second computer in the house hold as my 10 years old daughter keep occupy our new computer, I did some research of the this Intel core I5, it speeds at mid-range as of today, this chip was on the market 3 years ago. Anyway, computer is running fine, boot up time is about 1 to 2 minutes, have been testing about 5 weeks before writing this review, it comes with 8GB (2X4) and 500GB hard drive, there are no room to upgrade the RAM or install 2nd hard drive, computer is very compact, it’s also come with a wifi adaptor. However, this wifi adaptor can’t pick up 5G wifi, bought one from Amazon and it speeds up surfing the net and video content. In general, this desktop is work fine and served my purpose, but the question how long it will last, after 3 weeks of having this computer, it was not sending the signal to the monitor, several attempt of on and off and finally it works, then I ‘m leaving on and turn to sleep mode when not in use.
Here is an update of my review above, after 2.5 months the desktop has stopped working, not sending the signal to the monitor, lucky me it’s still under warranty and Amazon willing the take it back. No more refurbish computer for me.

Upon receiving the computer it would not boot up. Took it for repair and was told the motherboard was faulty and that clips to the casing were missing. Contacted the seller and received no response. Would not recommend.

We received what looked like a brand new Dell 7010 desktop. It had all the specifications that were promised and then some. The unit we received actually had a total of 12 GB of memory. Everything else was as promised including having USB 3.0 slots. The keyboard and mouse were definitely budget feel, but we purchased a wireless keyboard+mouse combo to go with it anyway.
I immediately replaced the included 500 GB HD with a 256 GB SSD. Having the SSD in this machine makes it the perfect budget machine for most home and office use. With a proper graphics card added it would probably make a capable 3D/gaming PC, but not a great one.
For reference, our machine was purchased from the seller “itreplay”. I would absolutely buy another of these again from them.

I am a computer tech with over 25 years experience. I bought this PC just to look things up for troubleshooting PCs and connect to a remote server.
The company that refurbishes these PCs does a great job. The PC itself looks brand new. So much so that it was hard to tell the difference between it and 3 brand new PCs I was setting up on the bench.
I bought it with the understanding that it came with a hard drive, not a solid state drive. When I received the PC, I booted it once to make sure it worked, then replaced the hard drive with a solid state drive.
The PC is now very fast and does everything I need.
If you cannot change out the hard drive with a solid state drive, then I recommend you look for a model that comes with a solid state drive to begin with.
Another issue is the title of the product. Even though the product says “2016 Dell Optiplex…” it clearly states it was built in 2014 on the computer case, so the PC is 4 years old, not 2 years old. So if you are buying it because you think it was made in 2016, you will be disappointed. I have no idea what the 2016 in the title refers to.
Am I glad I bought this PC? Absolutely! But you MUST replace the hard drive with a solid state drive to make this a great PC.

Ordered an advertized 2016 PC but delivered a PC manufactured 2013. Wi-fi adaptor failed within half an hour. Will be returning asap.

I powered it on and set it up.
First start is kind of slow, which is normal for a cheap 500gig mechanical drive.
I am happy to see it came with a WD Blue drive and not a seagate. (Seagates are unreliable)
After I powered it on and did the initial windows 10 user setup, I install Acronis and cloned the drive to a 256gig SSD followed by running remaining windows updates.
I didn’t use it much but so far, it looks pretty good.
Case was perfectly clean, everything looks brand new.
Motherboard looks decent with 2 full size PCIe, 1 small PCIe and 1 retro PCI.
It’s also a very good not too old I5 chip and 8 gigs ram. It’s a perfect PC for office work.
Besides that it’s got a VGA output and 2 Displayports. I didn’t test multi monitor yet.
I would have liked it to have an HDMI out but that’s on dell
It’s got tons of USB ports in the front and back.
