‘Do not buy this product’ it a scam, it never works it says it requires windows 7 or 8 which does not exists any longer! And imagine updating it in this case! Where ever i pluged in it showed ‘download’ and nothing else, i managed download the software to my computer with windows 10 but it will not extract nor download onto the radar ah and i tried to call amd guess what, no one ever answers! So dnt waste your money on this and i stead oay and ownload one i to your mobile phone.

Works well. Kind of annoying that it works so well and picks up any radar at all. But there is a volume control so you can turn it down if you like. Happy with purchase. Has helped me avoid several tickets already!

It’s no more than an annoyance. It alerts you of electric supermarket doors and pedestrian crossings but can’t recognise a traffic speed device! Don’t waste your money.

This radar/laser detector works 100% exactly as it should. Very accurate and works at great distances. The reason some have given it 1 stars saying it didn’t detect a police officer.

The reason for this is because not all cops have their radars on. Cops are highly trained to be able to look at a car and determine an average speed. If the officer does not have his radars on it WILL NOT detect it. It’s impossible for any radar detectors to detect one that isn’t turned on. Therefore it will not beep saying cop ahead. I come from a family of town cops and state troopers and tested the equipment on various speed detecting equipment and various bands. The device found every single one of them before the cop cars detector scanned me giving me time to slow Down. The rear scanner on the device works just as good AS LONG AS it has a clear view to the back. For laser detectors that cops sometimes use they HAVE to be parked and not moving for it to get your speed. The reason is because the laser beam is very small and narrow and must hit the car directly for it to register a speed making it 80% more accurate. This detector should be mounted in the very center bottom of your windshield for best use. The reason for it to be placed in the bottom center is most speed trap lasers are lower to the ground for best accuracy meaning the laser is pointed at the hood/front bumper of your car. Having the device in the center bottom gives it about 90% more chance of warning you sooner. With radars the police use it’s a large dispursment of radio waves making it very easy for the radar detector to find.

The amazing thing about this detector is the fact it has a great system to determine if it’s a cop or just a door near by. I have so far never had a false reading in town unless I had the sensitivity on high.

Finally, those who say they get false highway readings. Your not. 1st off there are hidden speed cameras. 2nd Cars and simitrucks can set it off. Why? Well, that is because most new cars and almost all simitrucks have radar systems that help them detect nearby cars to alert you when not to merge over or if your swerving. These radar systems in the trucks and cars generally use a K band signal at 24.75hertz.
Passing a railroad crossing can almost always set it off. Rail roads have radars to detect cars to send information to the trains conductor to know he needs to blow the horn and lower the arms on the tracks. The signal is different state to state but in South Carolina about 98% of railways use X band.

I hope this review helps sorry it was long just wanted to properly explain the detector to everyone!!!

Hundred percent like this. I live in Saskatchewan saved my ass 5 times so far. Super easy to use. The window attachment could be much better quality

If I could give this a zero start rating I would. It’s very simple to use but doesnt do anything to make it worth owning. Only time the machine goes off is in front of automatic door sensors and speed warning checkpoints. I drive past police and photo radar without it notifying me at all. Dont waste your money on this product.

Cobra radar detector 480i won’t stop giving false alerts. From the time I turn it on. till I finally get to my destination. I usually have to turn it off after a few minutes. cause it won’t stop giving false alerts. Which is really annoying. Very disappointed in this company and any company that would put this kind of product out there knowing that the newer cars use the same signal for the lane departure as cops and would rectify this. Shame on you

Works well . detects all bands . there are many false readings .. but once you know what band you are looking for it is easy to read. Window bracket could be a little more rigid to avoid bouncing around on a bumpy road. Would be nice if the power cord had a USB option, rather then a cigarette lighter end… Still a good unit.

Works great – Tested this weekend on a road trip, highway mode gives lots of heads up for speed traps on the highway.

Know what you’re buying – This DOESN’T work well in big cities, I basically keep it turned off or in Mute/City mode in Edmonton because no cops use these bands really. Its great for highway driving and I feel confident knowing I’m not ripping through a speed trap!

So i bought this guy and tried it for a week,
I tried all modes and in all ways and nothing worked, I see many cops car in my way to work and back and i also have one fixed speed camera on my way and it reacts to nothing of them, it gives lots of signals K and Ka and others but not when there is a radar or something, i dont know whats the problem exactly but i hoped at least it would pick a fixed radar camera but it doesnt .

Good radar detector, saved my a** a few times. I never go crazy fast at that point it’s too late. A bit over the speed limit and my jake brake slows me down enough before I pass the hard at work law enforcement.
The detector doesn’t go off all the time you see an officer, many units aren’t equipped with highway patrol gear. Or if you see radar traps on side of road, they are not always blitzing.
Many people are confused because of this, thinking the detector is faulty, but in reality it only goes off when someone or something (like a speed sign) is reading your speed.
Now beware, some cops like turning their radar on last second… so in reality I suggest to drive safely and ‘within’ the speed limits to reduce your risks of getting penalty points and money wasted on fines.
But it is a good tool to have, even when people are pulled over, gives you time to slow down and keep the officers save.

Ce anti-radar, ne détecte que les radars fixe flashant de face.

Pour les autres flashant par l’arrière, les mobiles, les feux tricolores et de chantier, il n’en détecte aucun.
