Really like the simplicity of setup. I can take my children out on nature hunts and use the microscope attached to mobile phone. Can also use with pc. Three apps available, I got my phone to work on android with an98 app. Really educational and don’t use to look in your ears lol. You can’t unsee that! Really pleased. Also comes with a useful calibration card as well as pc drivers.

Good value for money – simple plug-and-play, and picture quality is good. Worked fine on my computer but I couldn’t get it to operate on my Android phone, which led to a series of emails between the seller and myself that showed that the after-care is excellent! Even though in the end I couldn’t get camera and phone to talk to each other it wasn’t for lack of effort from the seller, who emailed advice and sent extra bits of equipment to try to solve the issue.

This arrived quickly and arrived as described. It comes in a neat little zipped case that offers solid protection, with a zipped compartment on one side to hold small parts and a sturdy fabric elastic band on the other to keep the included stand, cable and microscope in place. Super neat that it includes an adaptor so you can plug the standard USB end into the USB “C” – type connection on most later model Android phones (mine is the Galaxy S10).
I love that I can use this on my desktop computer, laptop and my Android phone. It’s pretty easy to set up; there are several apps in the Google Play Store that work with this microscope, and it’s fairly intuitive to use.
The zoom feature is amazing – it opens up a world of what you could never see with a handheld magnifying lens, let alone your bare eyes.
The built in light has a wheeled switch on the cord that lets you adjust how bright you want the light – especially useful when you’re zoomed all the way in.
All-in-all, you can’t go wrong with this neat little unit, especially at this price. ‘Would make a good gift for budding young science fans…… or curious adults……like me 🙂

I struggled to get this working on my android phone (Galaxy Note 10). For some reason, it kept disconnecting and then it would not be recognised again until randomly, it would work for a while and then cut out again. Pretty frustrating overall, so I gave up and plugged it into my macbook instead which worked perfectly. I actually think its not the device itself, rather the USB-C adapter, which is sort of a “clever” built in thing, so I do wonder if you used the standard USB-A plugged into a proper USB-C adapter you might get better results. Once working, however, the camera was perfect for what I wanted it for, which was checking my veggies for the perfect harvest time. A useful tool, but sadly marred by some connectivity issues. If you have the patience to mess about with it, or if you’re a bit of a greenthumb and want this to check when to harvest your plants, then I can confirm, you’ll get a good look and can get nice and close, making the process easy.

This microscope camera works as advertised. I bought it for a buddy for Xmas and he loves it. Just a quick explanation of the photos. The larger images were taken on my phone and the zoomed in ones were from the microscope.
First is a nugget of fool’s gold, about 1cm in size. The magnified photos show how it looks with the light set dim and bright. You can see the difference in brilliance.
Second is a special edition Canadian 2 dollar coin, with the zoom into the engraved canoe.
And lastly is a feather.
I highly recommend this USB-connected camera over the WiFi-based ones for ease of use.

Set up and use of the microscope is really easy with included instructions and pretty straight forward if you don’t use the instructions. The carry case was a nice addition and makes the microscope easy to tote around safely. The included stand works reasonable well and it will depend on what you use the microscope for. I’m looking to get a more permanent stand so I can set it and forget it. The adjustable light is really a nice feature but can overwhelm the lens in certain situations, usually dimming the light slightly will overcome any glare.
Overall very pleased with the USB microscope and I would recommend this item. I’ll also add that when I had a questions, the seller was very quick to respond, which to me holds most of the value. I will try to add some pictures at a later date.

I used this to identify pests on my plants. The video has excellent video and picture quality, allowing you to see and remove very small bugs before they get big enough to reproduce.
I downloaded the USB Camera app which lets u increase the video resolution and also use the snap button on the microscope unit. There are tons of image quality settings you can mess around with. I haven’t tried connecting to a PC but I’m sure that is where you will get the best experience.
I don’t often use the microscope stand but it works great and makes it much easier to keep the device focused. Overall, I highly recommend.

Received this on a Friday, and spent hours on that Friday evening with my 2 kids (15 and 19) running around finding things to examine with it. They gathered leaves, coins, pond water and lots of other stuff just to satisfy their curiosity about what “things” looked like under the microscope.
Getting started can be a bit fiddly, especially with using it with an Android phone. There are a lot of apps on the Play store with similar names, and it didn’t work with several of them. It’s best to download software from the recommended website or use the included CDROM if possible.
There is a light control wheel which changes the brightness of the LEDs on the cord, and the zoom is a nice big drum-dial on the barrel of the microscope. The stand can be a bit awkward because it tends to move around while you are adjusting the zoom/focus, but hand-holding at lower zoom levels (for example, when looking at insects) is perfectly acceptable. Sharpness can sometimes feel a little weak, but is quite good for a low-cost device, in my opinion.
This might be the best money I have ever spent on Amazon just for the fun and education factor. In the pictures I have attached to this review, I captured images of 2 quarters. One is 41 years old (1979) and the other is more recent (2016). Seeing the incredible difference in wear is a fascinating way of showcasing the capabilities of this device.
I wouldn’t recommend this if you’re doing cancer research or diagnosing blood disorders, but for anyone who wants to work on electronics, examine coins, check out insects or take a casual journey into the microcosm, this is a great little inexpensive device to get you started. I would definitely recommend it.

Works as expected for the price . I have only used it with my galaxy note 3 . To zoom in and out is not as smooth flowing as I want for getting a good focus but once you have focused it has nice images

For 30 bucks I am more then pleased. I have an s10 plus and have to use the an98 app but it works great . Just move focus very slow and you will rock it !

great product, incudes all USB connections for PC, Mac and android, easy setup, there are several apps that will work with this device, the focus is a tad touchy, takes some getting used to it, but once you do you can get some pretty nice pictures, I took some of Ashes and a plant legal in my country , the picture quality may be a tad less than the display i see, but the device i use is old (android phone) and it seems the saved pictures are a tad less focused than what it shows on display, the included stand is .. well I guess it does hold the unit, but that’s the extent of its use, as it is in a fixed position (you can adjust it but its jumpy and not easy to keep item in view moving the stand at all) over all for my use Id recommend this microscope

i bought this hoping to get some nice close ups of my coins that i find whilst metal detecting, although the quality is very clear there is no way to actually take a close up of the whole coin. the picture i’ve posted are of a cut half hammered coin, the coin itself if complete would be smaller than a 1pence piece, the pictures were taken from as far away as possible to try and get as much of the coin as possible, build quality not bad for the price. Just not for me… Thanks
