The holes are really small so I decided to give it a go with my ground coffee. Worked brilliantly. I was a little worried as the grounds really reduced but the sediment I had at the bottom wasn’t any more than I would have had from my cafetiere. Didn’t take long to have a ‘proper’ cup of coffee

I have sensory issues and can’t handle the little grainy bits and leaves that my other round mesh strainers leave behind, this one leaves nothing but the tea! Highly recommend.
I’m beyond impressed. It’s super easy to clean, and does its job better than ever expected. It’s small and tapered enough that it can fit into smaller cups without issue, but also big enough to hold enough loose tea to make a large pot or iced tea!

I have a whole slew of tea brewing products, several different infusers, pots etc and this is my absolute favourite method of making tea- it lets your tea infuse just as it would in a pot but all in your cup- actually lets the leaves move around, unlike a tea ball. I can’t see how this design could be improved on, I was tempted to buy a second even though I have absolutely no need for it just because I liked it. The handles fold in for storage, but it’s just a perfect little piece of kit.

I was questioning purchasing this…due to the fact i have a few tea strainers like this and one from David’s tea. I love this one the most as it can fit even my largest non standard sized mugs and also fit the smallest mugs too due to the ergonomic narrowed bottom! Would be great for camping traveling as the handles collapse so easily. I would buy again !

For the first time ever I can enjoy every last sip of tea including herbals. I would definitely recommend this for loose tea. If you’re hoping for tea leafs or dust in the bottom it won’t be there. Also I’ve put my infusor in the dishwasher 3 times and it’s fine so far.

I bought this because I love loose leaf tea and I sometimes use a pot or a cup. This is versatile because it will fit in both as it has handles that pop out. I love the super fine mesh as it keeps almost all the little bits of tea from getting into my cup.
Cleanup is super easy. Just dump the leaves in the compost and then rinse with warm water or use a mild soap and dishcloth.
Also mine is in use everyday and it has not rusted!

First, this strainer is so *beautiful*! It has a nice, sleek design. You can collapse the handle to make the strainer smaller (so it can fit into cabinets, instead of taking up a lot of space).

I tried this with one of my more finicky teas, and I have to say, I am impressed. It works better than my David’s Tea filter bags, for example, to give you a comparison.

I thought the weight of the strainer might cause there to be less water in the tea when I pulled it out, but that was not the case at all. The strainer is so lightweight that the same amount of water you put in the cup will stay in the cup after you pull the strainer out.

A true game changer for steeping teas!

Ordered July 6, received Aug 6 by e-packet. I wasn’t expecting the best as stuff from China can be very hit or miss but these are great, I ordered two and can finally drink rooibos tea with no bits in it. Easy to clean, appears to be good quality and should hold up over time. Quite happy with the purchase and the shipping time was reasonable.

This infuser works well but you have to push the tea down with a spoon to make it steep well as it does not come with a lid. This one was purchased for my daughter and she likes it but was none to pleased to receive it with one of the brackets loose/not installed. To re-insert the bracket into the infuser required the use of pliers to pop the ends in. Over all it works. The material seems to be of good quality.

I really like this tea infuser., inside edges are nice and smooth, therefore no danger of cutting your fingers when cleaning . Adjustable so suitable for making a cup or a whole pot. The mesh is the finest that I have personally come across , no leaf gets through but the very fine powdered leaves. Such a fine mesh that you can even infuse ground coffee ( my daughter used it for making coffee, as she used coarsely ground coffee beans) . I received it two days ago and it has been used constantly by every member of the family for making fruit , green, breakfast tea as well as coffee. An excellent purchase

This is great for making single cups of tea. Easy to clean, sturdy enough and the handles can be folded down for storage. The holes are about the right size. Any smaller and you would have trouble draining and mixing the contents with the rest of the mug. This definitely works best with larger sized tea leaves. The fine dust from ground or very finely cut tea leaves gets through the holes and thus has to be sieved first, if possible.

Update: The infuser started to discolour and taint the taste of the drinks. It’s not made out of stainless steel. It might not be safe to continue using either as I have no idea what metals and other compounds are present. A shame as the basic design is quite good.

After discovering that tea bags have lots of plastic in them (who knew?), I decided to switch to loose leaf tea and bought this little infuser based on all the reviews. The arms flick out and it sits well in my big insulated mug. Two teaspoons of earl grey and a minute or two sitting in the cup brewing, and job’s done. This might be a little more pricey than some of the other infusers, but I think it’s worth it. Anyone for a cuppa?
