This is my first “action” cam. I did a lot of research on them and have a few of friends who had them. Some paid 80 others over 300 (go pro) for most of them I couldn’t really tell the difference in the quality on the image on the same setting (comparing apples to apples). After reading the reviews on the Akaso E7000, I research more on Akaso and found the Brave 4. Bought it!! Firs, shipping was incredible fast arrive 2 days before the ETA (prime account) everything was as advertised. Really simple to use and the instructions are actually well written. Even the French version makes sence.
Pictures are great quality and videos as well. After reading reviews, a lot of them were saying that shooting in 1080p 60 fps, was the way to go. I know this cam can do 4K but I’m not sure i would be able to tell the difference…(I can’t on the TV) so I shoot all of mine in 1080 and theres no lag, no interference (snow effet) smooth and great HD picture. I choose the 110 viewing angle as well. Saw it recomanded in a few videos and I would agree that it gives you a great angle for the day to day things.
for 120$cad, I don’t see how you could go wrong. I’ve used it for the kids really and my oldest already took a tumble on his bike with the cam and it’s like nothing happened! Case didn’t brake cam kept recording, I’m extremely happy with it. Thank you Akaso for a great affordable product.

Came with only one battery instead of the 2 claimed in the description and manual. Also missing the helmet mounts (Straps are there but no mount). Cam is DOA. Crashed and shut down every time after a few seconds of recording, even with a fully charged battery and plugged in. The videos are full of noise (i.e. bright red/green/blue dots all over the pictures).
Price is good and the claimed bundled accessories are great if they were actually included.
To get your extra battery and a bonus gift you have to post a positive review on Amazon and send it to the seller. That probably explains the unusual high number of positive reviews.

I am beyond impressed with this 4k action camera. I needed a new one but didnt have a large budget for one so after looking at a lot of them I decided to go with this one and I couldnt be happier. This thing is awesome. It came well packaged with an assortment of clips and mounts needed for pretty much anything. Also came with an extra battery and a great water proof case. I have yet to test it under water but I will update review when I do. The Image stabilization works great. The picture quality is awesome and it performs great in low light so far. I took this thing snowboarding and got some great footage. Its so lightweight and portable and easy to bring anywhere. The only thing I didnt like is it doesnt come with an SD card but thats no huge issue. This was very easy to set up right out of the box and came with a good instruction manual. So far I’m really enjoying this thing.

UPDATE: after writing the initial review about the terrible sound. The customer service department from AKASO reached out to me and offered to send me a free replacement. After receiving and testing the replacement, the sound on it is amazing and it seems like I had a defective unit initially. Truly impressed by the customer service and the quality of product. AMAZING!!!

This little action cam surpassed my expectations by tenfolds… The video quality is so good that it looks like it came out of a GoPro 4 and when I connect my helmet to the Akaso (even better perhaps), the sound passes directly from my helmet into the the mic on the unit. The sound quality is so good and sensitive that I don’t need an additional lavalier microphone to make motovlogs (helmet: AGV Firerace K5), I can be heard with just the Akaso audio. The case also does a good job at blocking out the wind. It also comes with a remote strap on stop and play controller and the battery life is decent. The package comes with an extra-battery. One of the best purchases I’ve made on amazon. Well worth the $$$.

I bought this camera with not much in mind to expect for that price. I am happy with the purchase. I compared it with a GoPro and I must say I prefer the colors of the Akaso. They are brighter and vivid. I did not uses it much yet but it is pretty easy to use. I did some great time lapses. The batteries have a good life also. The wrist remote is very useful when the camera is not in your hand like when you put is next to a bird nest or feeder. You can take pictures or movies without bothering the birds! I took a picture in Yukon Canda in Carcross desert neat lac Beneth (near the chilkoot trail – Klondike gold rush trail). The light was very changing, the clouds were dark before the rain but the camera did pretty well as you can see. Don’t expect super sharp images with camera at this price but I must say that for the price, you cannot get better! O bought extra batteries for long days and I am also ordering another camera for my kayak trips..one in the water and one in the front of the kayak, With all the accessories and mounting option, it become very easy to take multiple shots when you are in the action…. I did dod put five stars because it is not perfect, I rarely do. but if you thing about buying an action camera, then do not hesitate! to end this review, I must add that customer service at Akaso deserve five stars. I had a missing accessory and questions, they fixed it in no time like pros! Thanks akaso…. a happy customer!
