After placing an object on the scales the scales keeps adding a few grams every 2 to 3 seconds. As the result it is not possible to measure the weight accurately. This product is a lemon.

Nice product. Used it first time today and weights were dead on. Attractive and very streamlined appearance, and does not take up much space on my counter. I really appreciate being able to switch between metric and imperial measurements. I know that in Canada metric is the accepted standard, but having grown up in the 50’s and 60’s, I grew up learning imperial and never got the hang of all the metric stuff once Canada switched. I still use pounds and ounces. Appreciated the fact that the scale came with batteries. Love this little thing.

This is a long term review as it was bought May 2018.
I feel bad for the seller as people are saying this product does not work when they weigh household items such as a can of soup etc. The weight printed on the can label is for the content INSIDE the can…not with the can !
Originally I picked this up for my baking as grams is much more accurate I feel as opposed to measuring cups and it has worked very well for this purpose. In using this over the past year and a half I have used this for much more than just a simple kitchen scale. I’ve used this from portioning out such things as 2 part epoxy’s, making my secret plant fertilizer mixes, to make lotions and body creams and weighing out clay for kids crafting among many other uses.
I feel one of the most important uses was by accident…as a kids learning tool. How much does this weigh? How much does that weigh? An inquisitive child is a VERY good thing I feel. We learned their teddy bear hamster is 23 grams, a fossilized megalodon tooth we have is 192 grams and one of their school clay craft project is 152 grams. A child enjoying numbers is a delight that I will happily encourage.
TIP ► **** again please for the sake of fairness please remember when weighing packaged items to see if this works for you or not the weight printed is for contents only **** If the product is removed from the container, put the empty container on the scale then do a tare…then weigh the content ****
So what I DID to test this scale, I unpacked my weight calibration sets and I put them to use. In every combination, every usage of this scale against any of my calibration weights the scale always gave the exact gram weight. Please review my pictures as proof.
The 500g scale reading was on five 100g calibration weights. = perfect reading
The 105g scale reading was on a 50g, two 20g, one 10g, one 5g calibration weights. = perfect reading
The 50g scale reading was on a single 50g calibration weight. = perfect reading
The 40g scale reading was on two 20g calibration weights. = perfect reading
The 20g scale reading was on a single 20g calibration weight. = perfect reading
The 10g scale reading was on a single 10g calibration weight. = perfect reading
The 5g scale reading was on a single 5g calibration weight. = perfect reading
Yes the above is repetitive however this does show it is accurate and it is accurate in any combination of the above weights.
The scale itself is 16.6 cm wide and 20 cm long. It takes two AAA batteries and in this past 1.5 years since May 2018, the original batteries are still going strong. It has 4 rubber feet on the bottom to prevent the scale from sliding on your surface. As the product listing states it has grams/milliliter/fluid ounces/pound. ounce and all have worked just fine for me.
I would recommend this scale 100% to absolutely everyone !
Helpful, is how I hope you find my review

Used this product consecutively for 4 months now and Ive gotta say, i love it! Its really convenient and can be stored just about anywhere, but its also big enough to weight out most of your kitchen needs. I usually put a bowl on the scale and tare it and start putting food in the bowl, it just allows to get more on the scale without constantly doing it in batches.
So far its held out great and is super durable! Batteries havent died either, considering how often Ive used it, so its good on utilizing power.
I definitely recommend this to anyone who is meal prepping or counting their macros because its really helpful and easy to use!

Does the job but has terrible screen glare. It also shuts off way too quicky causing lost data and having to remeasure the weight using a different container as you’ll lose the zeroed weight (without the containers weight) when it turns off

What I like the most on this scale is the 3 mins before shutting off. I had to run like a crazy with my other scale because of not enough time to open my second pack of flour as example and it was already off after 1 minute. Then had to restart all over the weighing. I also like the option of turning off the scale when finished.
This scale is not responsive as it should be. It could jump on several grams even when adding the quantity slowly. I’m very busy and don’t have such of time cooking and I think this is a cons. Also, at certain angle it is a challenge to read the weighing. Because of the price, the 3 mins iddle before shutting off, the accuracy and the very nice look I’m giving 5 stars.

I’ve weighed multiple items and used moved the scale to different places and the weight has been off drastically consistently. Would not recommend since it doesn’t do the job of a scale.

Christ almighty I LOVE this thing!!! I moved in with my girlfriend and used hers for about a year and it just about caused 95% of the stress of my life (I don’t really stress, I enjoy life). Her old one would just not TURN ON; you would have to press the ON button 5 times (on average, some times it would 2 or 3 or 10 TIMES). And even after it turned on, it would just randomly turn off… Probably just needed a battery change, but being a man, I just decided to buy a new one. AND THIS ONE HAS ERASED 90% OF THE STRESS IN MY LIFE, I FEEL SO FREEEEE!

doesn’t read a weight under 10 gr.

The lag is really bad. It takes a few seconds to switch on, to “tare”/zero, and to detect weight. The weight detection lag is the worst for baking. What often happens is, by the time the scale finally shows the weight of the thing that I am putting in, I have already put too much.
The scale also doesn’t save the last used measurement. This means that I have to change the measurement every time I use it.

We’d been through 2 different digital scales in a year prior to getting this, both costing over $50 from Myer, and both fell out of accuracy pretty quickly. The second set being inaccurate resulted in a baking disaster with no time to rectify. While I guess that could still happen today or in the future with these scales, the fact that it was only $18 makes it better. They look great, they work great, I’d buy it again if I needed 2 sets (but obviously not if this one breaks anytime soon).

Easy to use scale, it’s great that it’s simple to switch between grams and ounces etc. since that makes it easier to use American recipes without having to convert the measurements first.

My biggest frustration with this is that the screen is only legible if you are directly over top of the screen. If what you’re weighing covers the screen, requiring you to read from the side or underneath – you can’t see what the numbers are.
I also can’t speak to its accuracy. I wanted a new scale that could pick up minor changes in weight, for example when I’m topping my food with grated parmesan, but it doesn’t show a change in weight until I actually take the plate off or whatever it is I added (it will stay at 0g, then you remove any small items you added and it will show -5g for example 🙄)
