I bought this for my 2009 Acura CSX. The little screw fell off on my fob, so I just needed a replacement shell. This one did not fit, unfortunately.
It was my own stupid fault for buying a Honda key cover for an Acura. I thought they were the same. I was wrong. I mean, they built the CSX to look pretty much the same as the Civic, but they just had to tweak the key size… Ugh… 🤦🏻♀️
The product itself is fine. Just make sure you’re buying the right key cover for the right make/model…

This case fit for my 2012 Honda Accord EXL key, it was very easy to remove the old one and replace with this one.
I think it is not mentioned in the ad but they provided me a high quality Honda “H” sticker too which I put in the back of the key

Car make and model: Honda Civic Coupe DX, 2007. Original key case broken after 12 years of almost daily use. It came to this: replacement.
Nothing special about this case. Average quality. The key holding screw is not the same as the original: this makes the assembly difficult if the original screw is damaged (like in my case). I found one that works after a lengthy search. Some minor mechanical adjusting of the plastic components was required.
So, the verdict is: recommended, but only if you have the skills and some time to spare.

Replaced the cracked shell of the fob for my 2011 Pilot as the key kept falling out. This shell was a prefect fit and came with all the necessary parts including a new emblem and adhesive for the rear cover. In picture OEM is left, Amazon replacement on right. Replacement has extra plastic shoulder that extends beyond fob shell but does not interfere with key or ignition. Key is very secure in the new case.

Fit my 2012 Honda Civic key fob perfectly. Was very simple to switch over. The most difficulty I had was removing the key blade from the original fob as it was a solid piece, however, that is not the fault of this product. Once I got the key blade out of the original fob the process was so simple to switch over. The material feels strong and looks good. 10/10 would recommend.

Works great, it does not come with instructions and it is slightly different from the Honda’s original, so you will have to “guess” how to mount it properly (not very hard to figure out though).
Once mounted, looks pretty nice and seems strong enough, we will see after few days of usage …
Still little too pricey for what is it, but comparing to what Honda would charge, it is still a very good alternative.

If you follow the instructions above it’s so easy! I have a 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid and it was a perfect fit. I did not have a transponder chip so I just popped in my remote and my car started. I did have a little trouble closing the two pieces but with a little force it did close all the way.
UPDATE
It broke lol

I ordered this fob not knowing exactly what I would get.
Here is the important thing… DO NOT THROW YOUR OLD KEY FOB AWAY UNTIL YOU HAVE VERIFIED THE NEW KEY FOB WORKS!!!!!!
My review is for a 2007 Honda Accord.
The original key fob had a ‘chip’ in it that had to be removed and taped into the new key fob. I have a lot of photos that show how this was removed from my key. Once it was secured into place in the new key fob (via tape) the key worked as expected.
When you remove the old chip from your key. The second (bigger) item is the thing you MUST keep. There is a photo that shows this. (And many others that show this being removed). [Not the button panel!!!]
Once the chip is secured into place on the old key, the car will start.
Good luck. And please hire someone who knows how to explain this to others (In English and all other languages)
Thanks.

Bought this as my Honda civic key broke away from the fob.
The good… with some careful manipulation the fob components and transponder easily transfers to this new case. Most importantly the key/transponder works.
Comes with a little glue on Honda sticker.
The bad: not an exact fit … after lots of trying the screw holes didnt line up perfect resulting in the case not being 100% flush leaving a small gap…
Having said that MUCH better than a broken key detached from the fob so overall I’m happy.

Great replacement, make sure to remember the chip from the old fob , yep had to take it apart and grab the old one from the trash, works great now

I had a really tough time trying to get the two side to close together for awhile. I finally realized there was a little part of the plastic mold left behind. Once I scrapped it off with a knife, I had no issues. Other then that, kit was great and very reasonably priced. Thanks

They metal key portion for my 2011 Honda Accord key had broken out of it’s fob. I spent several weeks starting the car by holding the fob near the starter (security feature) while I used the detached key to start the car. NOT GOOD. This case fit my key fob parts exactly. All I had to do was move the internals to the new case, put in one screw and I was back in business. Fantastic!

I need a 3+1 with chip, remote case. It is shown in the picture but no where does it show the option to order type 2. The “3+1 with and without chip” is the same selection. When I order it and it arrived there was no place to mount the chip like it shows in the picture. I tried 2 times and gave up. I sent messages with no response. I flagged the item as not as described. I don’t know what else I can do!
