I’ve used one of the filters so far and its made me not want to use the bottle anymore. I loved the idea of having filtered water anywhere but after replacing the filter I’m having a weird experience where the water is getting fizzy/small bubbles? I literally have no idea what could possible going on wrong other than knowing its the filter. Its uncomfortable to drink which renders the bottle useless. hope the other filter doesn’t have the same problem, but still at the end of the day half the product is defective then

every week i have to clean the filter, because you have ton of carbon on top. IT’S ONLY FOR TASTE. This filter catches nothing.

My first concern when buying a Brita bottle was “what if I need iron lungs to drink”. Thankfully, that was a non issue. This charcoal filter removes the disgusting chlorinated taste my local water has. You’d think living in Canada, where I am a stones throw away from 3 different fresh bodies of water, our water wouldn’t taste like it’s been sucked out of a refuse station. Thankfully this filter has saved me, and I no longer need to drink 45 cans of Pepsi a day. Just because I don’t need to, doesn’t mean I’m going to stop, though.

got sick every-time I drank water from brita. I was a previous user of brita when in college. that was almost 20 years ago… I may go back if the reviews stop showing other people than myself getting sick from brita. symptoms line up with poisoning from metals… which can easily be fixed with a tiered system… or more specific marketing for toronto tap water for ottowa tap water for heavy well water. if I had brita answer any email this review would have been better.

While that never happened with the original filter this one color the ending of the straw black… that can’t be good… I mean their is probably black particule in the water?
I did rinse the filter for at least 1 minute… and then a second time for at least 2 minutes when I first realize the problem… my straw is still getting blacker.

This filter greatly helps to reduce the taste and odor of chlorine in tap water. It fits perfectly into my two Brita bottles, one soft (sport) and one hard. It is recommended to change the filter every two months, but personally I leave it on for three months.
* Be careful to rinse the new filter carefully under water for at least 30 seconds to remove any residue.

Ce filtre aide énormément à réduire le goût et l’odeur du chlore contenu dans l’eau du robinet. Il s’insère parfaitement dans mes deux bouteilles Brita, une souple (sport) et l’autre rigide. Il est recommandé de changer le filtre aux deux mois mais personnellement je le laisse trois mois.
* Attention de bien rincer le filtre neuf sous l’eau au moins 30 secondes afin d’éliminer tout résidus.

We have two Brita filter water bottles. The bottles have been used more frequently while working from home. Amazon had the best price at $7.97 compared to local stores. They work well and replaces bottled water.
Just be careful when opening the package so you don’t accidentally break the filter while opening the package. Better yet, just cut it open instead of pulling it apart.

I was expecting this filter to be a simple drop-and-go swap for my old filter. My Brita bottle is one of the soft plastic varieties, and the filter is NOT a direct swap.
What needs to be done is to take off the plastic cap on the replacement filter, which leaves the activated carbon filter on it’s own. Take the filter element from the old filter housing (the white plastic holder with all of the holes), and remove the plastic cap from it, and place the whole thing back together again. The pieces DO fit together, but not nearly as convenient as the old style.
