It’s a very useful concept, however this particular product is very cheap. After two uses, the plastic coating over the grey perimeter is peeling. Another downside is that with the tracks that go in and out there’s no adequate way to get all the water out so mold does not start to grow. I will be returning this

Like this large colander, fits nicely over my sink and has adjustable handles to fit different sink widths. The part I do not like is that it is a little difficult to collapse the center section for storing this flat. I have to put this on my kitchen counter-top and push down hard with both hands and even then have to keep pushing to get it flat. Maybe I am weaker than the average person but I have a medium size colander that seems to collapse with little effort. However this is a small issue, makes me feel like it is made with nice thick silicon materials that should last for years. I needed a larger size colander and I am glad I decided to keep it.

I like it for the space-saving benefits, but it’s hard to get things from inside the strainer back into the pot without getting it all over because of the design. Maybe someone has suggestions for me! I wish I had gotten a foldable one instead of collapsible.

It really frees up space. Normally a colander takes up a lot of room. As I wash lots of fruits and veg weekly, I use a drainer device frequently. This fits over the sink and then when done collapses and I can slide it under the sink. Perfect for space saving!

Love the idea. I saw the same think at the dollar store for less than 5$. So kind of expensive. And it broke after few use.
I had one almost like this one from another brand that last me 10 years for the same price so I’m kind of desapointed.

I love this colander. I am a weirdo about not having an elevated colander due to the hot water in the dirty sink flooding back over my pasta or veggies. I also don’t have the storage space for a colander with feet. This one is perfect. Folds nice and compact and slides in to my narrow cupboard with cutting boards and baking sheets. The only reason I only give 4 stars is that it is really hard to collapse down and open back up again. It’s pretty stiff. I’m hoping with further use it’ll loosen up some. This wouldn’t stop me from buying it but I can’t see an elderly person or someone with any sort of limiting condition to their hands being able to operate it.

I love that it sits perfectly over my sink and that i do not have to extend the arms out too far, it is working great right now but how durable is it? and how long it will last only time will tell, not bad for the price though.

I really like this collapsible colander. I bought it on a lightning deal as I’d been wanting to replace my traditional style one for a while and get a more space saving one. This one works great. The plastic pieces on the side pull out to fit your sink and the basket has plenty of room for veggies, pasta, etc. I took off one star just because it doesn’t collapse as easy as I thought it would but it isn’t difficult to collapse either. Otherwise it’s great and I’d recommend it to anyone needing something like this.

The space-saving feature is definitely great, but I have some qualms with it nonetheless:

First off, there’s no clear area where you can poor the drained contents from: the slope on the corner is far too wide. If you try to simply dump it at the corner (which is the only logical place to try), you’re likely to lose a good portion of what you were draining as it slides over the edges.

The second problem I have with it is that whatever secures the support arms is evidently rather brittle. I picked the colander up by one end to put it away, and as the opposite end turned towards the ground the arm slid out. Whatever was retaining the arm snapped and the entire arm fell off onto the ground. I now have to be careful when I’m putting it into the sink not extend it too far because it will just slip out.

Finally, I don’t really like the rubber material: trying to clean porous (or at least rough) rubber never actually feels like you’re getting it clean.

Again, it’s nice to have a full-size colander that doesn’t take up the entire cabinet, but at the same time this model seems like it needs some improvement.

I received this today after waiting for about a month, even though it said ‘two day delivery’ for my order of it and two other things – seems strange that something so simple would take so long for delivery. I placed it over the sink and really liked how it looked. Later in the evening I asked my husband to bring it to me so I could see how the handles extended out and the strainer became bigger. As he went to show me how the handles extended, one of the arms for the handles broke. I hadn’t even used it yet. The plastic material on the side that broke was very thin. He said he can tape it because I hate having to return it and then wait again, but really….if it is supposed to hold a full family serving of pasta, it needs to be stronger than that. It is definitely collapsible – a two year could break it with a slight pull.

Just moved to a smaller space so I needed to find utensils that are easy to store. This works great and looks nice. Only issue is expanding and contracting takes a bit too much force. I wish I was easier. But overall I am happy

I love how easy this is to wash and store away. And the fact that the handle extend to rest over even the largest of sinks makes it a must have if you do any sort of sink rinsing/draining of food.
