I bought this because it seemed to be the kind of integrated solution that would be a nice tidy fit for someone that wants to do talking head videos or perhaps even use it for their teleconferencing needs like working from home. However, I quickly found that the swinging arm made it impossible to have it in a decent position unless you were willing to devote a lot of horizontal airspace in your direct work area to this. A gooseneck approach would have been better. The stand isn’t even height adjustable.
Additionally, the image from the camera is nothing to write home about. With no software controls available for it like you’d expect from a higher end webcam, you’re fairly limited with what you’re going to get out of it as far as picture quality.
I gave this two stars for the following two features:
1. It’s integrated.
2. The USB hub and audio jack built right into the stand.
You’ll likely be happier with a separate webcam that can sit on top of your monitor and a separate mic. For the price they want for this thing, I would have expected far better.

The only other person to rate this left a one-star review. They may have been unlucky. I have so far bought two – one for the office and one for home. I plan to buy more.
Why? I leave this on my desk at home (and another is on my colleague’s desk in the office). It means that I can simply plug it into my laptop and start videoconferencing in a heartbeat – in superb audio quality, and without lighting problems. The camera is fairly good. Not brilliant but better by far than a typical laptop camera. The microphone and the inbuilt headphone amplifier is, as you might expect from Marantz, first rate.
There are three things you may need to know before you buy this.
1) The light is excellent, and solves all problems with backlighting. Only one caveat: if you wear spectacles, bright rings may be reflected in them.
2) The only thing you need to use this to full effect is a laptop or possibly even just a modern tablet or mobile phone – and a good set of headphones…. good enough to benefit fully from the audio quality.
3) There is one oddity. The device has a USB-C port, but for some bizarre reason will not work if you connect it directly to another USB-C port on your laptop. You need to connect it to a conventional USB port, via a hub if necessary. I don’t know why this is, but it is an easy problem to fix.
One last thing. It is seriously heavy. This makes it very stable, and is also an advantage in the office as it is unlikely to get nicked or “appropriated”. But it isn’t remotely portable. But I don’t think it is intended to be.

Really upset. This is an expensive items and it was clearly used and repackaged. For $400, I expect better!
The box was new looking. Once you opened the box, the pieces had all cla\early been rewrapped and packaged. This is the second or replacement Amazon has sent. Microphone crackles. No amount of adjustment or changes to setting help. It is a beast to unpack and repack. Amazon has been most helpful. This is a warning to purchasers,

excellent quality (which is partly why I can’t get another one just now, need more, none available at least in Canada) Video is a great aspect (not so wide, so for personal or paired video conferencing is great). Mic is also great sound, the light is good. I do have one bug, sometimes the mic is lost to my Apple Macbook Pro – so to get it functional on some Zoom calls I must unplug the power adapter on the turret and plug it back in) (i.e. power cycle). But the build quality is outstanding.

Merci

Die Kombination mit Audio, Video und Licht ist genial. Meine Eltern können so jetzt endlich wunderbar an Videokonferenzen teilnehmen.

Just received and was so excited to get up and running with this gorgeous device however my MacBook running macOS10 didnt recognize the Marantz Turret at first. Connected it via USB-C to USB-C (my macbook only has one usb-c port) which is straight forward. I’m fairly tech savvy and was disappointed to even have to fiddle around with it all. Thinking it could be that the MacBook doesn’t have enough power to run the Mic and Camera but that was just a guess. So I pulled out my power adapter and plugged that in so I could have AC Power and the Turret plugged in at the same time…. and that worked! Made me happy I didnt have to send it back. There’s very little information or support online anywhere with this device.
Its a great device! you could probably get similar results for cheaper but the Turret makes up for the extra cost in looks and an all in one which is handy. Im just starting to really talk webinar quality serious and think this device is a great leap forward

I actually got mine secondhand, I had bought one on here but the delivery company left it outside and I never got it, they were quick with the refund but sold out when I went to reorder. So, I bought one when it came up on facebook marketplace, paid £50 and it’s an absolute bargain! I’d happily buy another and as me and my friends have started a podcast, I have recommended the set up to them. The audio quality is fantastic, at the start we were just using zoom but now we are recording directly in to audacity and going that route, fantastic quality! Camera could be better but it’s perfect for what we do.

Question d’espace et de préférence.

Didn’t even have a chance to try it. As soon as opened the box, shows water damage or rust and some sort of discoloration. If this is how its made, then i can see how this will be in few weeks.

The product was not working properly, so I wen’t on the Marantz support page and I see “refrain from updating to MacOS Big Sur”, what a joke ! Who doesn’t apply updates O/S updates 2021, evrything is automated and why let a freeking camera/mike dictate when a shouls apply security updates , that is just dumb design by a company like Marantz
