Depending what you are using these headphones for they are good for the price you have to keep that in mind. For around the house or just to listen to music to pass time they provide good sound for the value. If you are buying these for DJ’ing and will be playing in loud settings like bars and clubs they do bleed sound and can be a bit difficult to monitor and beat match your songs, you’ll need to turn up the volume on your headphone knob and press a cup to your ear to save some of the bleeding sound there is however no distortion and the sound is clean. For the price however they are better than most other headphones in the same price range its a good headphone for the beginner DJ and an excellent headphone for the recreational listener.

For the price, they are great! Had them for a few weeks and use them 2-6 hours a day mostly to listen to Spotify. After playing around with my laptop’s Sound Wizard I got them dialed in pretty good and they’re comfortable even after several hours. You don’t need an amp either as they have low impedance. The only thing that bugs me is the thread of the jack that doesn’t fit in my phone with the case on so I have to remove the protecting case to plug them in.

The quality of the sound is excellent. They completely cover the ears and they sit very comfortably on the head, very soft. The sound is truly flat, no boosted bass. I ran a test of them when I got them out of the box and they have an excellent frequency response. The reason for the cheap price is probably the casing, it’s plastic. Other than that, the guts, magnets and quality is superb. The adaptor alone that it comes with, (from 1/8 to 1/4 inch that SCREWS on, not just clips) retails for $15. Cannot get a better bang for your buck. And if you manage to break them, for that price, you can buy a new pair every year.

I normally use a Tascam TH02-B but I bought these because I wanted a more comfortable replacement (as Tascams will murder your ears) with similar sound quality.

The Behringer HPS3000 certainly is more comfortable. The sound is garbage by comparison though!!! The bass is weak and it needs twice as much power to achieve the same volume level. I’m not an audiophile, but, man, the sound quality difference is enough to make me regret my 30 dollar purchase. I’m very likely going to go through the godforsaken hassle of returning these, just so I can have my 30 dollars back to buy a pair of headphones I can actually stand to use regularly, that’s how much the difference bugs me.

Now, the sound probably isn’t “bad”, just noticeably worse than another pair of headphones that cost the same. So, if you don’t think you’ll be bothered by the sound quality difference, or actually prefer headphones with less bass, these headphones are much more comfortable, and the wire length is just right, not too long (like the Tascam) and not too short either.

But my honest totally not paid for by anyone (would be nice for me if it was tho) opinion is if you can afford the extra cost for padding replacement, go for the Tascam TH02-B and do just that instead of buying these.

They work well enough, though the left speaker had a buzz/crackle when listening to voice only (ie podcasts). I bought them for podcast recording and was pretty upset about this. I could hear it on all kinds of devices that I plugged into, just to make sure my audio files weren’t bad, etc… So, I kind of smacked them and banged them out of frustration and they suddenly worked fine! Have been fine ever since and that was 4 weeks ago. Sound quality is great, but be weary of bass settings. These have very good sound and bass, but like all studio headphones, be carful that you don’t undercut the bass just because you’ve been using the headphones as monitors, etc…. My background music for podcasts is really loud in the headphones as well, but barely shows up when listening on normal devices (iphone, car, etc…). These headphones also picked up a lot of background noise that I couldn’t even hear with normal headphones, so it was great to understand just how much background noise I actually had! (no, the buzzing issue was not related to background noise). These are all positives, as the headphones pick up all sorts of frequencies that you won’t hear with earbuds. The only problem was the left ear buzzing when they first arrived, otherwise it would have been 5 stars for the price!

The sound and feel of these headphones is great. The his and lows sound good to me, comparing well with a recent pair of AKGs that I rate. The build is nice too. The headphones are strong and robust while comfort is good also. I can wear these for a good length of time – they fit my ears nicely. A very nice touch is that the 3.5mm output jack (compatible with my iPhone 5s and my PC speakers) comes with a small gold screw-in socket so that the jack then fits 6.3mm sockets (works with my audio interface and guitar amp). Now that is proper thinking about the customer’s needs!
Five stars for value for money already. I’ve only recently purchased these and my worry is the cable which seems quite thin. Any movement at the socket end of the cable will create noise and the cable isn’t replaceable as far as I can tell. I’m not estimating these will last that long. This is a negative but the sound is really quite amazing for the price. The same can be said for design quality and build of the headset itself and, as I mentioned, there’s the additional jack. All told, I’m very happy with my purchase.
4 months later: I’ve been careful with them but they are still working. Definitely recommended.

I bought these for their specified purpose, recording! They are very flat sounding and not at all “peaky” or biased like what some folk will come to expect with “DJ” type headphones. They are not noise cancelling or anything, they just do one thing – produce good quality audio, which is not biased.

They are comfortable to wear for long periods of time, and they fit far better than my Sennheisers do!

These have worked a treat for me whilst recording some vocals, recording multiple instruments and doing edits. I’ve got some really good monitoring at home, and yet one pass with these on and I found things which I couldn’t hear on the speakers! The sound is very tight and controlled. I tend to use these more than the speakers now, for general recording work.

I don’t see how you can go wrong with these, and at the price – they are unbeatable. I have other headphones – but these are my permanent set for recording because:

    1/ very comfortable
2/ balanced, easy to manage sound
3/ does not fatigue my ears after a long recording session
4/ they work! And when they stop working, I’ll buy some more!

Can you buy better headphones? Yes certainly. Can you buy better headphones (for recording) at this price, or anywhere near it? – I don’t think so.

Just bear in mind, they are geared towards recording – so buy the right ones. Behringer do other models for specific purposes. Some of the reviews I’ve read don’t seem to comprehend that, and as a consequence are not really valid. Do your research!!!

    Negatives:

Build quality – they are obviously made from lightweight plastic.
Cable: You cannot replace the cable, so when that breaks – it’ll be a repair or replacement of the headphones
Sound: It is very neutral, perhaps too much so for some folk? I don’t know, it’s horses for courses. I can work with it
Environmental: I am not a fan of throwaway e-waste. When these fail, that is what they will become. It would have been better if they could have made these modular so they can be rebuilt…

Extraordinarily good sound – clean, open, transparent and uncoloured. The bass is all there, right down as far as you can hear, and remarkably detailed – no woolly thump here, and never overpowering – and the treble is crisp and realistic. I can’t think find any vice to mention in the sound – which is uncanny at this price – but being so realistic and detailed they do need careful EQ, if any, to avoid spoiling the natural openness.

The build quality is typical Behringer – not immediately impressive, but deceptively solid. (I have Behringer stage gear that worried me slightly when I unpacked it, but which has survived well over 10 years’ regular use without missing a single beat.)

The isolation is OK, but not soundproof by any means, and the fit is on the tight side. (I do have a large head!) This doesn’t make them uncomfortable, but it does mean they need to be put on carefully to get the best fit over the ears. Once properly seated they are easy to forget – not overly heavy, nor unpleasantly clammy.

All things considered, I am delighted with these – whether for practice, recording, or just listening, I can’t fault them.

These are cheap so it’s no big surprise that they feel cheaply made.

But boy the sound quality is great. I use them for listening to playback after I’ve recorded voiceovers with my Mpow headset.

The Behringer headphones are very neutral in terms of tonality, from what I can hear. I’m no expert, but they definitely seem to produce a clear and crisp sound.

    So for audio quality, great.

For comfort? I have a big head and wear glasses. These are quite uncomfortable for me, personally. I take them off as soon as I’m done listening.

I would not want to wear them for an extended time.

But for the purpose for which I bought them they work great. And at the price they’re a steal.

The Behringer HPS3000 Studio Headphones arrived on time, in a well protected box. For the price of such GOOD Quality Headphones that are Very comfortable to wear, they are GREAT. I gave the headphones a 4 star on sound quality because I bought them to meditate with sound and the Bass is a bit weak. They are sound proof but not FULLY sound proof. But that is fine with me because I did not want fully sound proof headphones, as a MOM I have to be aware of my surroundings with the headphones on my ears. They are Highly recommended. Thanks.

Ordered these as a gift for my father, who gave them a glowing review! He has a large head and they adjust very well, lots of room for him. He finds them very comfortable, earpads are soft and fit well. Price is awesome and the quality is exceptional for the price.

They sound really, really good too. For $30 cans they are incredible!

Delivery was prompt, the product is as advertised. This replaces a 10-year old HPS3000 that I’ve used almost daily, six months of each year; and vener had any issues with the product. When the padding started wearing off, I didn’t hesitate to buy another; and I must say that I am even happier with the new ones. Sound wise, these headphones do not fail and compare favorably in my opinion with headphones two and three time the price. There seems to have a little more substance, a little heavier than my old ones. In this price range, these are unbeatable.

These are intriguing headphones. I bought because I thought they would shut out external noise. This they do to some extent, though nothing like, say, a building site set of ear protectors that I have. But they are quite tight and I would not want to wear them all day The actual music sound came as a bit of a revelation. Listening to a piano concerto, my open back elderly Sennheisers put me about two rows back in the auditorium. These put me inside the piano. I can see the point, but am not sure I like it, and have gone back to an elderly set of Plantronics for noisy situations.
