I bought this for my granddaughter. Its small, very small, which by itself is not an issue – we could call it “dainty”. However, the music leaves much to be desired because of its small size. The melody – You are my Sunshine- is barely manifest whether you crank at a fast, slow or medium rate. The mechanism is so small that it just can’t carry enough notes to make a recognizable tune.
I bought a Rouge music mechanism a few years ago and paid hundreds for it ; it made beautiful music – Hence my headline

This box is super cute, but when I open it I feel like the lid will eventually break and the arm to wind the box feels like it will likely break at some point as well. Looks nice, sounds good, hoping it stands the test of time as I want it to be a keepsake for my daughter

This product is even more beautiful in person. The intricate details are amazing. I bought this for my mom for Christmas as she used to sing this song to me every day multiple times a day my entire childhood and needless to say it made her cry

Its smaller than the palm of my hand, it doesn’t open up, the side handle feels a little loose and the music plays a little wonky, the sound is a bit off.
However, I have never seen anything like this in stores. Its beautiful crafted, with intricate carvings and the music bit while off is still a nice sentiment.
Will still use it as a gift as my boyfriend loves star wars and this is so unique. I actually dont mind the size, especially for a grown man it seems more appropriate, but I do wish the music flowed more smoothly. I dont know if this will last, but for the time being it will make a thoughtful little gift.

Ad stated there was a free necklace with it; there was not. I don’t need it anyhow, but a bit of false advertising if someone was depending upon it.

The music box case and necklace are cute and as I expected, but the actual tune of the song is off. There are three instances where the wrong note is played despite the fact that the box is capable of playing the proper note and does play that note at other points in the song! It gives it a kind of haunted/ spooky vibe rather than a sweet one 😅 Thankfully I like the spooky effect and will be keeping it, but just a fair warning to those of you who aren’t into that!

Way smaller than I expected. It’s made from cheap wood and is not very sturdy at all. I bought it for a 7 year old and I feel I should have waited. Accidents happen with kids and if there is any accidents this box would not survive. The turning wheel feels loose and you have to spin it constantly for it to play the music…. but if you spin too fast it feels like it’s going to break the whole box. Not happy with spending $20 on this what so ever. More of a $5 novelty item.
