Okay first off it is big and heavy…I have a professional divers watch rated below 300M and it’s nowhere the thickness of this beast. Dust and dirt…this watch is literally a magnet, you put your hand into your pocket and this watch brings absolutely everything back for you no matter how clean your pants are. Slow! My phone rings three times before the watch catches up I have same thing with messages (my phone is 3 months old brand new android platform with latest choosey) same with reminders same with calendar. Good concept, solid and tough but I don’t like it at all with many faults mentioned. I will be returning, it did not meet my expectation for the price I paid.

Wow was I disappointed in this watch. First off, it’s not cheap and one might expect a certain level of quality, starting with basic functionality. My TicWatch Pro S repeatedly went into a re-boot loop and despite doing numerous factory re-sets, and using a different phone to set it up (both running android 11), it just wouldn’t operate as it should. I will say it looks great but for almost $300, I’d also like it to work. This one has now been returned and I am getting a Samsung Galaxy like I should have in the first place…

Wow! So much faster and responsive than my old Fossil Sport. I get it that people are complaining that it only has a Snapdragon 2100 processor when the 3100 and even 4100s are out now but regardless it performs great. My old Fossil Sport had a 3100 w/512MB RAM and it is always unresponsive when you try to do most things on it. This watch is super responsive w/the 1GB of RAM. It makes such a huge difference. Not only all that but I am now finishing a day w/like 50/60% battery life left. This is without me even trying to do anything special to optimize the battery life. Almost every day w/the Fossil Sport I would be down to like 20% and many days I would either need to top it off or it would switch to battery saver before the day was over. I finally feel like I’m able to truly experience WearOS the proper way. After seeing how this performs I would say that the processor does not really matter as much as most people think however I would recommend never getting a WearOS watch without at least 1GB of RAM. I’ve added a video to show how fluid and responsive the interface is.

This is an OLD watch design and hardware. I suppose it is a functional design but it is priced way too high with deceptive advertising. This is still the same Ticwatch PRO from what 3 or 4 or 5 years ago now. They no longer offer the 512mb ram version, instead they only offer the 1gb version that used to have a Verizon LTE eSIM in it, where now that part is gone, but there wasn’t really much use for it anyways. And now you get a much needed software update that should just be pushed to the older watches already out in the wild but instead is only available this way. But again, it is an OLD watch. The CPU chosen is now TWO generations behind the current version they are putting in there OTHER Ticwatch 3 that only costs $50 more. This watch feels like a way to unload all there old inventory and parts that they no longer have a need for, and they are using Amazon to do it.

I like this watch a lot, I upgraded from a TicWatch S2 and it definitely feel like a big step forward, let me talk about the things I like and dislike.
    Design
The design looks very professional and fancy, hut keeps that sporty look I like, Im comfortable using it on every ocasion. It still feels a little big, but I got used to it very quick, It is a little but more Heavier than the S2 but not enough to make me uncomfortable.
The bands it comes with look pretty neat, but I dislike the feel of the silicone so I changed them to a more comfortable one. It is very easy to change.
    Battery
The battery life is great! I like the second display and I can clearly see how it saves more battery compares to the S2. I have mine running without recharging for the last 3 days, doing at least 1 hr of exercise tracking and the battery is at 40%!
    Essential mode
This one is pretty good to save memory, will only track your steps, sleep and heart rate and only show the time and date, and thats basically all the functionality the essential mode display will do (no apps or hps or whatelse). Sadly is not customizable and cannot change anything on that screen besides showing heart rate.
Going into essential mode is easy, but getting out of it requires you to restart the watch, seems that is not easy and definitely not fast: this is a downside specially uf you want to exit essential mode to do something specific and quick.
    Sleep mode
This us the first time I started tracking my sleep with a watch, its pretty neat and like it a lot! Shows me how my sleep works and shuffles through the night. This might be a problem from the app, but it takes a lot of time to upload the sleep info to the phone, not sure how much but at least for a few hours in the morning is not updating the phone, and cannot trigger an upload in any way.
    Pay
This is my first watch to have Google Pay, only used it once and is pretty solid! Now with the Covid situation, I don’t even have to take out my card to pay!
    Gps tracking and training
I workout 3 or 4 times a week and hike at least once, I need gps and I like to track my heart rate and calories. I would say that the watch is very accurate with the position and the calories seems to work the same as the other watches I had. Depends on what app you use for exersice, it will calculate these things differently, I use Tic Exercise myself and love it, but the watch is Google Fit ready if you like to use it too.
    Oxygen tracking
Supposedly you can track your oxygen levels, but I want seem to find where to do it. The TicSleep app shows a part where you need to approve permission for rhe app to track that but clicking there doesn’t do anything. Maybe is bugged or the watch doesn’t have that feature and is misleading.

All and all I like this watch a lot! I wouldn’t give a perfect 5 star but it definitely deserves more than 4.
