I use my camera on my motorbike to record my rides in and as you can imagine it faces all weathers and conditions and the original just wore out. This is a perfect replacement, waterproof, does not have the touch screen but that is of no use to me with biker gloves on.

We couldn’t fine this anywhere. Went to all the electronics stores before ordering online. Should have just started with Amazon. It got here fast and works great to take underwater videos. We used it on our snorkel tour and got some great footage. Would highly recommend it.

Looks the part and fits the GoPro well, as well as other attachments. However, the toughened glass on the front broke pretty much on first use, and isn’t really that toughened at all – broke up in to many shards of glass. Don’t buy if you’re going to be taking it in to a rugged environment and expect it to take a few knocks. Waterproofing worked well though, can’t complain there. Get it if you need a replacement case for “normal use”, but not for rugged environments.

Will have to buy anti fog and or get the strips to reduce fog, this case works but it fogs unlike original case that came with the gopro hero

The original top catch to my Hero 3 case snapped. Replacements are no longer available. The newer case for the Hero 4 is an exact fit and the top catch is much improved. Also: replacement catches are available. With the new case, my Hero 3 is useful again. The dinky trip pod is OK, especially as a bonus.

Was sceptical with this purchase following reading some other reviews, but as my original and official GoPro case was cream crackered – for the price I thought I would take a punt.
Very happy with this case – it might not be an official case, however having put the two side-by-side they could easily have been made in the same factory and using the same mould – This is almost identical to my official case, having had a good comparison of the two all of The small manufacturing marks share the same details and they’re in the same place. If not by the same manufacturer, this is a dam good replica!
First impressions, very impressed! However, time will tell on durability and how waterproof it is?

The very first time I used this waterproof case, I tore my thumb nail trying to get it unlatched and open. Having inserted my camera (Hero 3 Black) a few days later, I attempted to open the case again. The latching mechanism was again far too tight and this time, it actually broke away from the casing on opening….I’m returning my broken example to Amazon for a refund – But please don’t let my experience stop your purchase. I may have been unlucky and simply bought a faulty case.

I bought this case for scuba diving. When I got to about 30ft I noticed water starting to leak through the seams of the case. I turned off the GoPro in hopes I could protect it from water damage. Unfortunately my GoPro is fried now.

The clips on these are very tight as you have read on pretty much every other review so handle with care when unclipping. Otherwise, we used this while freediving spearfishing for a few months without problems…. until I stupidly dropped it after a particularly exhausting day. Front lens hit the edge of a rock and cracked. Whether that classes it as flimsy I don’t know but I am buying the exact same product to replace the broken one. So, it definitely gets my vote overall.

Since real GoPro accessories are so expensive, I thought I’d try a cheaper version. I barely use it and am very easy with it, but it did not last long the plastic broke along the hinge so it’s unusable now. Will have to buy yet another housing.
