cyock –
l’appareil s’utilise facilement. Toutefois, pour faire des cubes, il faut être très patient et très adroit. Pour les juliennes, le réceptacles est un peu petit et ne permet pas de faire des juliennes très longues. Je le recommande pour la vitesse d’exécution.
MI –
Like: easy to use, safe for kids, makes perfect french fries
Dislike: 2 step process for mincing, cleaning is inconvenient
If slicing/mandoline cut is all you’re doing, this is a great device; 5 stars for that. If chopping, then this is not the perfect device; minus a star because it is advised as a chopper as well – sure you can do it, but a pain the the a$$.
Cleaning is a bit of a pain because food gets stuck in crevices and takes a little work to clean it out; minus another star.

I bought it mainly for slicing meat, beaf, lamb, etc. And it works well! Take the frozen meat out for an hour and not much effort in slicing it. Thin or thick as I need, and I definitely can’t slice the beef this thin with my kitchen knife. I put it in the dishwasher and it comes out clean! 100% happy with it!

Delivered on time. Works as advertised, the the opening where the veggies go could be a little bigger, means you must use smaller pieces to chop. Most safe mandolin on market I believe.

Outil indispensable. Le mécanisme de pompage des lames font des tranches et des juliennes en un rien de temps. les pattes avec des suces collent bien au comptoir, l’ouverture des pattes est bien barrée par une encoche, le petit bac qui reçoit les aliments est bien aligné et stable, il est coincé par les pattes et reste bien en place. Se nettoie relativement facilement avec l’outil fourni, mais certains endroits sont plus difficiles à atteindre.
Le seul petit bémol à mon avis c’est que je trouve les juliennes un peu petite, l’ouverture pour mettre la nourriture près des lames est de +-8 cm et j’aurais aimé pouvoir faire des juliennes plus longues.

can be very useful ONLT IF cutting lots of things or looking for thin slices and quick. But still found using knife was better sometimes

Cleaning brush not really sturdy enough for good cleaning, but an old toothbrush will suffice. Does fold flat for storage, but the feeder and catching bin do take up space and they don’t fold flat. Does a lovely job on carrots, which is generally a tough vegetable to cut neatly. I was also pleased with how it cut potatoes, either slices or French fries. Not sure how it will hold up over the years, but I like it much better than other choppers and mandolins I have used.

If you like gadgets you may like this one, but personally I still prefer to use a good old knife. The numbers on the dial are white on white, difficult to read. You really have to play with it to find the size you want. Cleaning can be tricky, food gets stuck inside. By the time I figure it out and then clean it, my vegetables are already ready with a knife. I will probably return it unless my sister wants it.
