These dresser are pure garbage. I don’t understand why this is made in the first place and then sold here. One of the worst purchase ever. My bad, I purchased 3 of these at the same time and these turned to pure garbage when I received them. I want to return these.

It’s a good dresser for the price overall.
It was difficult to assemble but not impossible- I did it by myself in just over two hours. The instructions don’t have words, just pictures, and the pieces are labelled poorly (some weren’t labelled at all and you just had to figure it out). I feel as though the manufacturer could have done a better job with the instructions. The item is also exceptionally heavy and the box broke apart when my husband tried to bring it into the house…. that being said, it looks nice, it’s functional, and the price is good.

So cheap for a dresser! It’s sleek & looks nice. You need a few people and a couple of hours to put it together but anyone that can follow directions can put it together. I was 8 months pregnant when we constructed it!
ETA: it’s been a year & a half since my original review; it still works and does its job since it was so cheap & we knew it would be a pretty temporary piece. However; one drawer is completely out of commission now due to the screws and flimsy bottom piece of each drawer + I suppose the grey color is just like a sticker on top of the ply wood? So at the bottom it’s peeling up. Other than that, it does it’s part!

Easy to follow instructions. Just take your time getting to know what’s what and know that each piece is important. If you rush through and skip pieces thinking “this should do” then you’re compromising it’s durability. The packaging itself was super heavy. I needed help sliding it into my apartment because there was no way I was lifting it. So when it arrives it will help your back to have a lifting partner.
Expect to spend about 2 to 3 hours building it. If you have toddlers that won’t leave you alone it’ll take a little longer but it’s not impossible. Music and small breaks will help. I ordered bumpers so that the drawers aren’t slamming and also corner bumpers for the sharp edges not to hurt any little people. I also switched out the knobs to fit the style of my room.
There’s definitely a lot of space to work with on the top of the dresser and each drawer fits a good amount of clothes. I’m happy with it…really happy with it. Being experienced at screwing up furniture I can tell you that “how” you put it together impacts how long it lasts. I’m pretty confident that this one will last a while…I will update in the future. Ive had it for about 2 months now.

Cheaply made and not worth the money. There were too many problems with the quality and function of the product. I called South Shore customer service and they didn’t answer their phone lines. I emailed them and no solution was provided. Amazon, on the other hand, was more helpful and understanding. They issued a return and a refund. I will buy from IKEA instead because at least they stand behind their products unlike South Shore.

La cajonera es buena en general, facíl de armar con ayuda de una persona, es muy pesada para una sola persona.
Tiene un problema con el fondo del cajón, es muy delgado, se dobla y se sale de su lugar facilmente aunque no este sobrecargado (lo uso con ropa de mi bebé)

This dresser is very beautiful. It’s the perfect height to use with a change pad on top for baby. Setting it up was fairly straightforward although I was missing a screw but had a surplus of little wooden pegs. They didn’t supply any extra parts (on purpose anyways) which is a downside but I made do.

We bought this dresser for our baby room because it was relatively cheap and fit the style of the room. We weren’t looking forward to putting it together, but it wasn’t as bad as we expected. The instructions were generally clear, although we had to double check a lot to make sure we were putting things together correctly. Once assembled, it looks like the photos and seems to slide well. The drawers don’t have the “smooth close” feature that fancier dressers have, but they slide okay. Overall, decent for the price.
(Our package arrived with damage to the box, and the cardboard piece on the back has a hole in it. This is not really the fault of the manufacturer as it was likely damaged in transit, and the damage can’t be seen once it’s assembled and against the wall. We were fortunate that the damage didn’t hit any of the visible pieces!)

It is very beautiful and sturdy, worth the pain of building for sure. The directions weren’t the best but eventually you can figure it out. Dresser is a good size and drawers are deep. Looks clean in our bedroom, happy with this purchase.

Wow I’m so glad I didn’t let the negative reviews stop me from purchasing this! It looks great – esspecially for the price. Lots of people said the directions were confusing… I don’t know how the directions could have been any clearer? Pictures, numbers, arrows, clear & concise text when necessary. It took a few hours but I assembled the whole thing by myself (while 7 months pregnant). I would definitely recommend this product and I will look to this company for future furniture needs as well.

This dresser works perfectly for what I needed it for, the drawers are a bit more shallow then I expected though other than that super happy with the purchase. The only downside is there was a small dent/chip on the top when we assembled it this is why I gave it 4 stars.

Es un poco complejo de ensamblar y algunas piezas no son exactamente iguales al manual, aun así funcionan igual y queda bien.
Se siente solido y confiable. Bastante espacio de cajones y el acabado es bueno.
Pesa mucho y requiere de mas de una persona para cargar y armar. El tiempo estimado de armado fue de 5 horas aprox.

I went back and forth on what lesser expensive furniture to buy. I chose this one but I figured I would just give it a shot. I saw a lot of mixed reviews and I must say, the negative reviews are from people who either A) don’t know how to build B) don’t know what they were buying to begin with or C) just simply are always negative
I would cuss but I doubt they allow me to in reviews.
The only semi negative review I would agree with is someone that said the instructions aren’t the most simple, which I agree they are not, but anyone with common sense can figure it out. Only took about an hour or two. Crack open some beers, put some music on and build this sucker.
****TIP****
The drawers do lineup, I saw someone with a review and a picture and the drawers didn’t fit and line up properly once in the dresser. The instructions don’t state this, but they go in a certain order as far as which draw goes in the top, middle, and bottom. So trial and error and see which one fits where. Then I used a marker to mark under the draw where it belongs just in case I ever move and take the drawers out.
If in need of a lesser expensive dresser for a bedroom, I recommend this one.
