Definitely sturdy and easy to assemble, it came as expected. However, shortly after setting it up I noticed a rip along the seam on the cover. I’m not sure if it was like that when I opened it or not, but the only person who had sat on it at that point was my very small 6 year old. I didn’t expect it to last forever, but I certainly didn’t expect a tear within the first hour of it being out. Aside from the tear I really do love it, it fits our space perfectly and stores more than I expected. Seat wise it seems incredibly sturdy.

The reason I gave it 5stars because it stinks!!!!! I use it at the foot of my bed to store our frequently used bed linens and it stinks so much like smoke or something really awful that I had to store my linens in a bag before storing it into the Ottoman. It’s sturdy that my 2yo can climb on it stand and I am not worried at all. I can even sit on it. Good size for what I need it just Stinks!!!!

Étant minimaliste, je recherchais quelque chose de pas trop encombrant pour cacher le frame arrière de ma causeuse tout en étant utile et cet ottoman fit parfaitement. La petite différence de couleur m’agace mais bon elle se fond dans le coloré marbré léger de mon meuble. Je ne conseille pas de s’asseoir là-dessus car son premier rôle est bien le rangement et il est pliant, ce n’est pas un banc. Le séparateur ne reste pas bien dans sa fente mais je ne l’utilise pas. Le fait que cet ottoman soit mince en profondeur est un plus pour mes besoins tout en ayant l’utilité de ranger mes couvertures à portée quand je m’installe devant un bon film. Tout ça fait mon affaire.

Maybe we just got a bad one, but this ottoman did not hold up very well at all. It’s claims to hold quite a bit of weight, but my grandma, who is approximately 170 lbs sat on it, and the supporting board completely cracked. Now you can’t sit on it at all. Maybe it’s one of those freak things where she sat on it just right, but I’m not impressed.
I was pretty happy with it until that point. It looks nice and stores a lot. We never really sat on it, just used it to store blankets. I’m thinking it wouldn’t have made it this long if we had been using it for seating. Very disappointing.
We tried to see if there was a way to fix it, but we’re afraid if we put in a new board it wouldn’t sit right on the frame anymore. Right now it just looks like sunken in garbage.

Extremely flimsy product. It may be useful if you’re just storing light items, but anything over 25 pounds or items like blankets will cause it to become misshapen . Seat became loose after I sat on it about the third time. Staples used to secure the pleather to the cardboard is popping through…potentially dangerous as it could cause puncture wounds to skin.. for $50 buck it could’ve been made sturdier, but then again, it’s $50 and made in China, so….
Edit:: I was contacted by the customer service department and offered the option of a full refund or a replacement product. I opted for a replacement after careful review. I think this product would be useful for storage of light products like pillows, blankets etc. Despite being rated for over six hundred pounds, I don’t think it’s made for CONTINOUS or repetitive seating. In any event, their customer service response was EXCELLENT. I received the replacement item in a timely manner at no cost. Their follow up has been great. I’ll update in a few months on how well it stands up to constant use, as I’ll be using it in my bedroom as a seat when donning/doffing socks, shoes etc.

I bought this original to replace my coffee table so I’d have something to put my feet up on while I watch tv. Even though I saw the measurements, I should have realized it was a little smaller than my coffee table. So I did the next best thing, I now have it sitting at the foot of my bed. It fits all my extra bedding linens, and is strong and comfortable enough to sit on. It also came 1 day ahead of schedule too.

I did not want to pay much for another bench in front of our window for our dogs to get up on. I got this at a pretty good price; it arrived in good condition, assembled very easy. Seems sturdy enough. And as far as smell – my daughter said when delivered, it smelled of cigarette smoke (possibly from driver that delivered?) – but when assembled I did not notice any smell. In the photo, you can see a bit of loose vinyl on the side but that will not affect my dogs!!

Terrible chemical smell even after months and months! The pillows and other things storaged inside got the stinky smell! I sent an email to the brand after months but got no answer back. All I put storaged in it got the stinky smell, a chemical one. A nightmare. I guess is from the material used the stinky chemical smell as it does not vanishes after days neither months. I have 5 other ottomans of another model from the same brand and I love them all as they do not have any bad smell, but this one must be defective to the point that I wonder about its health and safety issues due to its smell.

I’m very pleased with the product, got one in each colour. Ihad my doubts about folding items’ capacity to hold weight on top of them, yet, even empty they stood solid when I sat on them. It’s a lovely addition to my home decore and is a great way to keep the place free from clutter while adding extra seating. It would have been very helpful to have a fastening system to the center leaf to keep it from wabbling making it harder to put on the lid but it doeasn’t affect the overall performance. I might buy a couple more in a near future.
