- ✅ ESSENTIAL DSLR CAMERA ACCESSORY ►This set contains 2 camera lens hoods that are compatible with all 58mm lenses. It also contains a lens cap. Always verify your camera’s lens thread size before ordering. The correct Ø diameter value can be found on the front of the lens or underneath the lens cap.
- ✅ BLOCKS EXCESS SUNLIGHT ►The lens hoods will block excess sunlight for enhanced photography and video footage. They will reduce lens glare and flare and boost the black in your pictures.
- ✅ COLLAPSIBLE IN 3 STEPS ►The rubber lens hood can be folded out in 3 steps to offer different levels of sun shading. Because the rubber lens hood can be fully collapsed, you can leave it on your lens so you can always use it when you need it.
- ✅ TULIP FLOWER HOOD ►The shape of the tulip flower lens hood is ideal for wide angle lenses. It offers a maximum amount of shading without causing vignetting.

Needed a tulip lens ring for my video camera and this turned out to tick all the boxes and more!! , for the price, this was an absolute bargain.
Both lens hoods are excellent quality, feel nice and smooth, sturdy and an exact fit, not loose or any bad threading at all.. Perfect.
The extras, 2 lanyards, a cleaning cloth and a lens cap… All for £6.50, when the lens cap is £3.49 on its own…!!
What a BARGAIN… And quality too!!

Mar 30 2019 – Hoods both fit as expected and have plenty of thread so that I can easily get them on “tight”, that’s the good part. For the price they’re fine.
Material quality isn’t very good for the hoods. For example, the rubber on the collapsible hood is so soft that is doesn’t keep a round shape and flattens out very easily when pressed against a window or any other flat surface. I thought it would be stiffer. The tulip hood is made of stiff thin plastic which doesn’t seem very durable; it also doesn’t line up the dot on the hood with the dot mark on my lens which means I have to loosen it a bit to get the correct alignmenta… not a big deal but thought I should mention it.
In both cases time and practical experience in the field will tell whether I’m impressed or not.
Lens cap: I kind of like the lens cap on its own. It’s tight and easy to put on and take off. I haven’t gotten it to work as shown in the diagram with a lens hood – could be user error. For now I’ll simply use without a lens hood. As I do with my other caps/lens combinations.

Serious vignetting on standard camcorder wide angle. (Must say the black circle on one’s image may look artistic (LOL)). Tullip hood’s thread does not fit om my Gobe filters. (also complaint by others). Lens cap falls off. Haven’t tested the lens cloth. Only usable part is the rubber hood from normal -> telephoto settings. Other wise, not worth the buy.

“The tulip flower lens hood can be attached to the lens in a reversed position to allow a more compact storage.” No it can not be attached in a reverse position. Its smaller then the kit lens so it does not fit backwards, and there is no thread on the inside. Reverse the lenscap also does not fit.

Stay away from this screw-in lens hoods. They cause a vignette between 18mm and 24mm. Additionally, you cannot use a filter lens. Get a version (such as the Goliton EW-63C) that has a bayonet attachment. That way, it threads/connects on the OUTSIDE of your lens, allowing you to keep you filter lens on, and reduces the possibility of vingette.
Sure, all the added bonus things you get are cool, but if you get the other type of lens hood, there is no need for the new lens cap, or the soft hood. That also causes a huge vignette (bigger than those of the petal hood).
Don’t get this, please just don’t…

These 2 little cheap lens hoods have amounted to almost £70 in damages within minutes of unboxing and I’m really really displeased. I tried to screw the petal hood onto a UV filter to find that the hood had now become stuck to the filter, I’ve never had this problem before and assumed I just had to unscrew it. As it was unscrewed the £60 filter smashed and the hood cracked. Fine, at least it wasn’t the lens. Then I went to put the rubber one on the lens, which got stuck to the lens. When I tried to remove THAT, the thread ring in the lens hood itself detached and got stuck to the lens and it cannot be removed. I have never in my life seen anything like this before

I bought this primarily to be able to adjust my circular polarizing lens pair (CPL) without having to reach inside my hood and fiddle. With this hood, as it is attached exactly like a lens (not bayonet style to the camera tube) I can simply turn the rubber hood (clockwise) to see the effect through my viewfinder or on my screen. No more reaching round, planting fingerprints on the lens, turning the whole camera 180… to adjust the cpl.
It works perfectly and is a better hood than my tulip hood. And, it collapses nicely to allow more room to insert and extricate my very large camera from it’s case. Good quality, and I have a spare lens cap in case (when) i lose the one i have.

(PS…I’m french Speaking and my english is quite rusty).
After loosing 3 times my Nikon lens tulip hood, in less than a year, doing bird watching , and because they where back order for a month, I decided to try this set. For the price of the lens cap, I had a full set. Received the product in 1 week.
The lens cap fit perfectly and is sturdy. The tulip lens hood also fit perfectly, but no tread inside for a protective neutral lens.. So well attatch, that I can lift my camera by it.
The rubber lens hood is my favorite. Again, great fit, and posessed treads for a neutral or polarized lens..
If fully fold, I can use my camera at 24mm and up whithout any black corner (the fully folded position offer almost 1/2 inch protection, which equal the original Nikon tulip hood, at the in between petals point.
At the half folded position, I can use 35mm and up, and it offer the same protection as the smallest petals of the Nikon original.
At the fully extended position, it’s 55mmm and up and offer a complete round protection.
As a bird watcher, I mainly use this camera for far aways bird photography and identification (800mm and up).
For family or landscape photography i’ll be using the tulip shape hood.

I bought this set solely for the tulip hood, which was to replace an old one whose bayonet fitting had worn and become loose on the lens. The one in this set screws into the filter mount thread on the lens and does so securely.
The hood seems pretty sturdy, and certainly feels more expensive than it was.
So why only two stars? Firstly the ‘petals’ are longer than on my old one, to the point that however much you try to square it up, at 18mm they’re visible in the corners of every photo. And because it screws on it’s a pain to get it off again to avoid this.
Secondly, despite screwing into the lens thread it has no internal thread itself so the lens cap just falls out of it at every jolt as there’s nothing for the retaining clips of the lens cap to dig in to.
On the basis of this the set was actually better value than I expected as I’m using the cheap unbranded lens cap that came with it as it has a string to fix it to my camera strap unlike my proper Nikon one. Every cloud eh?
The rubber lens hood remains unused, but unlike the tulip has a proper threaded ring to take a lens cap or filter. If you were buying it for this you might be a happier customer than I am. As it is I’m a few quid lighter and still looking for a new tulip hood.

These Lens hoods are easy to install. The added benefit is my 58mm filters fit into the hood allowing me to use various filters with the hood. I am extremely happy with the quality of these products and the quick delivery.

All good. The rubber hood should likely be flexed in to prevent corners of your photos, especially close-ups, from being dark-shaded out. The rigid plastic hood is best used with the wider petals on top and bottom; the smaller petals on the sides, IF your camera lens has the threads to allow that. (And assuming you are taking photos as 16:9 or other wide-rectangular format.
If you are wondering whether your lens CAP will still be attachable: maybe not. But I prefer the hood. Either hood is good for protection; the plastic hood pretty well negates the need for the lens cap. At least, it has for 22,000 photo-snaps in my experience so far. Don’t worry about the lens cap.

I bought this for my Canon 600D in preparation for a big holiday I was hoping to take pictures in. Off the bat, the teo tube shaped things you screw into the lens have both gone practicality unused since the day I got them. I don’t really see the point of them, other then being a bit of a hassle to put on. I also think they’re a bit cheap, but I’m not using them so I don’t mind. The thing I’m very happy with though is the lens cover. Before, I would spend quite a bit of time removing me lens cover each time I wanted to take a picture, and having to put it into my pocket to keep it safe. In this set however, there is an attached string that let’s you always have the lens cap on hand which is so useful.
This set is good if you know what you’re getting

I didn’t pay attention to the connector of these lens hood. Basically, they are using the lens’ inner screw threads (which usually used for filters) instead of the outer lens mount ring. The problem is that I can’t quickly remove the lens hood and store it in my bag. Every time I have to unscrew them off the lens instead of the 90 degree turn to quick release with the Nikon original lens hood. These lens hoods are really not useful. I should have bought the original Nikon lens hood which only cost a bit more than this.
