Wow what a powerhouse of a watch. This thing is amazing. I went from the original Galaxy Watch Classic to this one. Shipped the Active 2 and 3. So this is a huge step up. Only thing is the battery life on the old one is better. But it had several updates and it also has a lot less features and sensors. Bravo Samsung

Love the Watch. I really like the updates compared to my previous smartwatch (though it’s been 4 years since I’ve updated so I guess anything would be better update-wise), it’s a beautiful piece of technology. Everything works pretty nicely, but the battery life is not up to par.

I had high hopes for this new Samsung Watch, and unfortuntely, it did not deliver.
This being the first Samsung Watch with Wear OS 3 from Google, I was expecting things to be a lot better than they are.
Obviously, it’s a nice looking watch, it’s also very comfortable (i’ve got the 45mm) even if the band is too narrow for my taste. For a watch that size, it should have come with a 22mm band instead of a 20mm, making it look small on a man’s arm. The controls are pretty simple, I got used to it in a couple of minutes. They respond well, but do feel slow from time to time, especially after booting and for a couple of minutes.
As for very important downsides, all sensors are very imprecise when compared to other watches. The heart rate monitor is slow to start, sometimes will take a couple of minutes before detecting anything, the sleep monitoring does not detect REM sleep properly, the stress sensors and body composition stats are all over the place providing different results on each try, etc. Also, don’t forget that the ECG and Blood pressure monitoring are NOT available in US/CANADA. There are some unofficial ways to activate them by connecting to your device by a backdoor, but for normal folks who just want a watch with all its sensors working, it shouldn’t be necessary. Just search online when compared to other watches from Apple, Garmin, Fitbit, etc.
What really killed it for me was the inconsistency in the battery life. The first 2 days I had the watch, I was getting OK battery life. The watch was letting me know that it was still learning my habits to adjust its battery. It seemed to work as it got better. Then, I went for a 2h hiking, lost about 50% of the battery life using only GPS and HR (no earbuds, no music), and the watch never came back to normal. The following 3 days, I could not get a full day of battery without the watch shutting down on me. I’ve tried everything: shutdown, restart, reset, disabling nearly all its functions, the Watch 4 simply cannot last a whole day consistently without having some weird things happening somewhere that makes it drain its battery. And note that this is WITHOUT its Always-On feature!
At +500$, this isn’t something I’m ready to deal with, it’s going back to Amazon.

awsome watch to hand in hand with your phone specially if u have a samsung phone. other phone work as well but need to have account with samsung and download a few more app that allready installed on samsung phones. only negative about this watch is the ecg does not work in canada as its not been clear yet.

It’s well made and feels solid but it wouldn’t sync properly with my Google account, then appeared it did, but only for 1 notification. The battery life seemed terrible as just trying to set it up used half the battery. I ended up so frustrated with the set up failures and the battery being so quick to drain I returned it 24 hours after it arrived.
Really wished it was better. I might try whatever they have next..

So i just got the Samsung galaxy watch 4 and everything seemed ok until I did a software update then the rotating bezel stopped working. For a watch this expensive I am expecting more. A bunch of features are not working in Canada like the ECG and BP.
