My brother also bought one of these covers but another brand it’s way better quality wise, the door doesn’t stay open so it’s a pain changing the CD, so I installed it upside down so when you open the door at least it stays open, the rubber seal keeps falling out of it’s groove, so al and all I won’t be buying another of this brand.

Spring not strong enough to open it more that 1.5 inches.
Instructions show cover opens 180 degrees, which it doesn’t. max is 90 degrees.
pontoon boat steering wheel is preventing it to open anyway, so need to be on your knees to change settings or insert a USB stick
The mounting screw holes are too much on the inside of the boat opening and nothing to attach too.

Habe die Haube für mein Motorrad gekauft. Beim dranhalten sieht alles gut aus. der Qualitätseindruck insgesamt ist auch ok. Leider sind bei meiner Haube beide Federn in den Scharnieren ausgehakt, so dass die Klappe nicht aufhält. Und genau das macht den Einbau sinnfrei, da ich die Klappe gerne während der Fahrt schnell mal mit einer Hand öffnen möchte. Darum nicht verwendet und ab in die Tonne. Schade.. Wer die Haube allerdings für z.B.ein Boot benutzt, der findet hier ein ziemlich cleveres und günstiges Produkt.

I bought it thinking it would cover my motorcycle radio and found it too thick to fit around the radio. Probably good for a boat with a flat dash.

This product is junk. The plastic flap cover did not spring open. Turns out it has tiny little plastic stops for each spring to hold the flap open. If it does work, it won’t take long for the stops to break and for the cover to swing down when you are trying to operate the stereo.

Did not like it for my install as it was to small to cover old cut out but would be good for new istanlation and the lid needs nno obstruction as it is to thick

Wieder Billiger China Schrott nicht mal das einfachste vom einfachsten können die bauen.Die Klappe von dem Radio schutz springt immer wieder.Ich habe schon umgetausch immer das gleiche nur Schrott.Warum werder ich hier gezwungen in der Rezension weiter zu schreiben.Ich bestimme doch was und wieviel ich schreibe.

I ordered a black one. A white one came. There are a lot of fine scratches all over cover most likely from rattling around in packaging. I requested a refund. The open button hopefully isn’t as delicate as it looks. Got a refund

Looks good straight out of the box, fairly chunky appearance but should clear any controls underneath, includes a sticky back foam gasket. Note it doesn’t say waterproof on the box, it is water resistant, In my opinion is will probably keep splashes off your stereo but very little else.
The hinge has an ingenious spring mechanism inside (Well it would be if it actually worked, the tension is zero, I have tried increasing the tension myself and the spring bends, just lift it by hand), there is a flexible rubber gasket on the face which should not lose its shape easily due to it not actually touching the cover (not sealing) when closed!
Not sure what is meant by a support shelf as this is just a cover although the picture on the box shows the twin control type mounting and the instructions show you what to cut away to turn it into a DIN type, mine came as the DIN type already. as mentioned rain and light splashing will probably not get in, and the final mount position for me will be stored under cover.

The one reason I opted for this was the claim that there was a mounting shelf included. Although there was a diagram in the package showing the shelf, it was not included. The product itself is good for a cover, and the price is fair but if you’re counting on extra support for an in dash stereo unit, it’s not included in this unit.
