The handsets are very comfortable to hold since they have a curve built in and they sit around the face very well, but that’s where everything ends. There is an echo when using the handsets and the display is monochrome which I knew. I have owned many Panasonic handsets previously but the battery in this handset is terrible. You’d be lucky if you get 1 week of stand by and limited use. I ended up going back to my Grandstream handsets as the battery in those handset lasts more than 2 weeks, granted different technology. I guess not too many people have home phones anymore so these manufacturers don’t bother with coming up with new designs. The one good thing about the handsets is that it uses AAA batteries so you can chuck the crappy ones that came with the handsets and upgrade to some Eneloops. Given the handsets were not cheap, really disappointed in the batteries. I guess I can chuck this to experience and stick to the Grandstream since they are way more advanced and more reliable.

I replaced my 10 year old Panasonic land line phones with this new one, very similar to my old one. This phone has terrific functions and all I had to do was read over the manual to refresh my memory. I use the built in answering machine so I can hear the caller before I pick up. The 2nd phone sits on the base downstairs in my rec room.

I have always bought Panasonic phones and these are the first pair where I’m not as happy as I should be.
The sound is clear but not as loud as I would like it and yes I have tried adjusting the volume but it’s still the same. Also the back of the phone is smooth however my last set of phones had a clip so I could clip to myself or when I held the phone the clip would keep it in place. The features on the phone are same as my previous ones, this is what I searched for. Would I buy again? Probably not.

I like the phone except it dosen’t have a light to tell me when I have a message and can’t change the number of rings.

A great phone but the only thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t stay lit when I’m online.
It took me a while to learn all the features but it was worth
it. It has no lock feature. I recommend it to anyone who wants a phone with
    many features00

I purchased this twice to replace and existing phone for my mother’s home and for a neighbour as well, since she also needed a new one. Don’t get me wrong, these phones are well worth the money, but they do have some caveats. One is that they need to be charged before doing anything with them. This is fine and dandy, but please note, it takes SEVEN HOURS to charge the phones up. I decided to let them charge overnight and program them the next day.

The next day they phones were all charged up and so set-up began. I liked the light weight of the units. They won’t burden my mom and neighbour who are both elderly. I would estimate at least 40% lighter than the previous phones we had used. The programming was a tad confusing, when following the instructions, but I eventually go the gist of it. The downside to that is, that we’re using the old multi-press method to enter text for the names, which, when you also like to capitalize names, is quite the tedious chore. Thankfully, I had my mother to read off the names and numbers that needed to be entered, so that process was greatly expedited. The same can be said for my neighbour’s phones.

One thing I do like about the phones, which differs from the older phones, is that you only have to enter the contact info into ONE PHONE. Once you do this, all phones have the same info, so it doesn’t matter what phone you pick up, all will access the same info for one home. I just wish they had an option to connect the phone to a PC to manage the contact list and some other features of the phone. This would make things so much easier to program in the future.

I do like the intercom feature, where you can call another phone within the home from any phone in the home. With two phones I don’t see much use for it, but in homes with larger families, who get the 4-phone version, I can see this being more useful.

The display is good, but the numbers and letters are somewhat tightly spaced, making them slightly difficult to read in darker rooms, even with the built-in light.

Other than that, the sound quality is very good, and reception was good all over the house, across all floors and out into the moderately sized backyard. I am happy with my purchase, and I’ll have to wait to hear from my neighbour on how she likes hers.

This set replaces my 8-year-old Panasonic phone unit which died an untimely death earlier this year. Silly me, did not realize that I could have likely simply replaced the batteries …. yeah, I did not do my homework and did not know that it had batteries! Anyway in my defense, one of the keys was sticking a bit on one of the phones so I made the decision to get a new set when the batteries pooped out. Another good Panasonic product which I will readily recommend.

It’s a great phone, we live in the country where there is little cell reception and bought this to have as a back up. Super easy to use, great features, and the battery life is surprisingly long! I like that it came with two handsets so we have the main base set up in the kitchen but I have the second one in the living room which means I don’t have to run across the house to answer the phone. I was skeptical at first because it’s more expensive than other options I’ve seen but it took me so little time to set up and the battery life is excellent so I think it’s worth it. The one downfall is the sound quality when it’s on speakerphone is reduced by more than I would expect, however I only use speakerphone when I’m waiting on hold anyway so not a huge deal (sounds kind of distant/echo-y). All in all very happy with my purchase.
