I just wanted to write a review as the coat I recieved does have downfill andis quite nice (came in Orolay bag and had Orolay tags inside…I dont know this brand and wouldnt know how to spot a fake but at least it does have tags). It is not super filled or puffy, but I’m okay with that. I saw some good reviews for the coat but also some people who got knock offs and just hoped maybe I’d get a legit jacket. The sleeves aren’t tight or short (tried on with a thick knit sweater). I ordered a small and am 5’2″, 125lbs. It still has room and is not too tight, but I would not want it smaller. Hard to say if this fits “as expected” bc it’s an oddly shaped coat, but I tend to do small for a more fitted look and medium for the more baggy. This coat hits right in the middle. Also, water was wicking off it today so that made me happy.
One thing I will say is I dont love the zippers. They are kind of cheap and get stuck along the way. Do up and un-do slowly for less frustrations!
Also just wanted to update after wearing it a few times: so warm, so comfy!!!

Saw this jacket all over Instagram and the Like to Know it app so I had to have it!!!
I purchased it in the color Beige, I’m 5’6 tall, 156 lbs with a C cup chest, larger arms and a bubble-butt booty and the medium fit perfect. Enough room to fit a thick sweater on underneath. Super warm, convenient pocket placement and the zippers open/close smoothly. Not to mention, you can zip up the sides of the jacket to give a bit more room for sitting down. Keeps bum warm on outside benches and hockey rink seats.
Glad I clicked the purchase button on this one!

I’ve just returned from Romania where the temperature drop as low as -13 and was never cold! The style is comfortable to wear and seems to be reasonably waterproof..I didn’t get wet! My only problem was the hood could do with some way of fastening, there are press stud fastenings that are only decorative really and could have been adapted to fasten. Overall I’m very please with this coat.

Let me begin by saying that this coat is WARM! Feels like you are wrapping yourself with a super cozy blanket. I used the size chart and a quick email to Orolay to determine my size and decided to go with the LARGE. I could have easily gotten into the Medium size but I like to wear thicker sweaters and I don’t want tension in the seams. Going with the Large size means my coat has a more relaxed fit but I don’t mind that much. What I love the most about this coat is that it keeps me warmer than my regular goose down parka.
Update: I’m taking off one star after my initial review. It’s been about 3 weeks since I got my coat and now I’m disappointed. First, the fit is odd. The shoulders and arms are kind of snug but the rest of the coat is too roomy even after wearing thicker sweaters. Also, I wanted to test my coat during a snowfall and noticed that some visible areas got these bizarre water stains (which look more like grease stains) from the snow that won’t come out no matter I do. I’m confused with the material of the coat which claims to be water resistant. It’s still a nice and unique design, though.

I loved the look of this jacket online. However, the product that arrived was bigger than the size I ordered – the tag on the jacket said XXXL. That tag also was in error: the jacket fit like a small and the arms were so short and narrow that only a reasonably thin teenager could fit them. … What a disappointment since the originating company’s return policy is a joke!

Honestly I am so pleased with this jacket!!!! I love the design, I bought it mid summer so I have to wait to wear it which makes me sad haha. I can tell it’s going to be very warm! The quality is great and there’s a good amount of room to wear a bulky sweater (I got a size that I generally buy, XS). I would honestly suggest buying this coat if you want to feel like your wrapped in your duvet blanket- if you want something more slimming or figure flattering probably not the right cost for you . I feel like a puffy snow bunny 🐰

I love this coat, I wasn’t actually expecting to like it. I have worn a famous brand winter coat for years and have recently returned a premium coat for its quality compared to price. I am over the moon with this purchase. I was looking for a warm down filled coat but wanted something a little different to a regular puffa coat. This coat is so well made, so cozy and has a brilliant hood. I would recommend this coat to anyone. I found the size chart on the US amazon site. I am 5’7” and bought a Medium. I can comfortably wear a jumper under.

I was on the fence about ordering the Orolay thickened down jacket with confusing positive and negative reviews about sizing and quality issues. I really wanted this coat because I absolutely love lots of pockets. The size chart that is provided is confusing so I hoped that the coat would fit big and ordered the XS (if it was snug I read reviews that side zippers could give some more room). I am 5’4″ and 110 pounds and I was worried that with a larger size I would be swallowed up in the fabric of the coat.
I am an Amazon Prime member and the coat arrived within a day packaged nicely in a thick zipper bag. The coat had all the official Orolay tags and labels showing down filling. I ordered the navy coat and it is beautiful with bright orange lining and a soft fluffy lined hood. The fit is just like that shown in the photos. I see no major issues with the zippers like others have written about. Some of them are a bit “stiff” on the pockets but that is so minor. I bought a Canada Goose Expedition coat for close to $1,000 and the zipper on it was total junk. It was always stuck and I had to climb out of the coat. The same with a Cavin Klein coat. For the price of the Orolay coat, the quality and style elements are great. I live in Canada on the prairies where winter gets extremely cold (temps can dip to -35). I chose this coat for the fall and spring and the Orolay coat will be perfect for that; for winter months I will still need my North Face arctic parka. Today it was -3C (26 F) and I was very warm in this coat. In warmer climates maybe the Orolay coat is all that one would need. This is an Amazon purchase that I was glad that I made.

I finally but the bullet and ordered this trendy jacket! I love it! I ordered my true to size small, and it fits the way I wanted it to. Slightly oversized. It’s perfectly warm for a Canadian winter and super comfortable. I love all the pockets! My husband tells me I look like a California reason in it, but whatever – he doesn’t know trends! Lol!

This jacket arrived SO quickly, I couldn’t believe it. I ordered it on Friday 3 Jan and was told the delivery date would be 3 Feb. Imagine my surprise when it arrived today!
After reading the comments on Amazon about the sizing being too small, I ordered a size 3X. It isn’t too small at all. The sizing seems true to size but I had ordered two sizes larger to be on the safe side.
The jacket in navy is absolutely GORGEOUS. The shiny orange lining and white “teddy bear”-like hood lining is FABULOUS.
The jacket I received was well-made and I just fell in love with it even more. I didn’t even want to take it off!
Sadly, I have to return it but I am hoping to have it replaced with an XL for a smarter look. As it is so cosy, I won’t want to wear thick jumpers underneath (or I’ll swelter) so a jacket closer in fit would be ideal.
I will provide a further update once the Seller gets back to me and I receive my ideal size.
UPDATE: My replacement jacket (down one size) arrived this morning and is AMAZING from the fit, colour, aesthetics to the warmth. The Seller made sure I didn’t have to wait too long and the replacement arrived on 15 Jan. Super fast!
Definitely invest – it’s worth it. Looks great even on plus size women and is very well made. I’ll update again if all is not what it seems after I’ve worn it this winter.

I gave it 5 stars due to the high quality of the item and it came beautifully packaged. Unfortunately, I am returning as it is not for me but am writing this review so potential buyers can get some idea of the fit. I found the sizing for this coat confusing. I am 5ft 2in and a small size 10. I ordered the medium based on the reviews but it comes up big on me and a little longer in length than I would like. The small probably would have been a better fit and with room to wear a chunky knit jumper underneath. It’s also a weighty item which I find uncomfortable. To help buyers with the sizing I have taken photos of the measurements for the medium.

The jacket arrived earlier and looks exactly like in the picture. Unfortunately, there are 2 big false information about it:
First, there is NO DUCK DOWN in it at all, it is 100% polyester and it is clearly mentioned on the label.
Second, the trademark is not even Orolay but some other name.
This is my first experience buying some outfit from amazon and it turns out not so pleasant!!! How can I trust the description?

I had read about the coat on various NYC websites. How it was the uniform for the Manhattan and Brooklyn school run. Comfortable and stylish, but cheap. And then my sister, a mom on the UWS, bought one. I trust her opinion, so when she told me she loved it, I bought one for myself. (But in a different color than her, obvi.)
I love mine. It’s like wearing a sleeping bag, it’s so cozy and so warm. It keeps me warm on English country walks or when I’m in London for meetings. The pockets! So many pockets for all my stuff. The hood is massive. When it’s up, I don’t get any rain in my face. When it’s down, it craddles my neck like a soft cushion.
My only complaints: 1) it is a little narrow on my hips, but the size zips mean that I can adjust it. 2) it’s more expensive in the UK. I know that this only costs $100-120 in the US, but I spent 145 quid. If I had been traveling to the US anytime soon, I would have bought it from US amazon and had it shipped to my sister.
