I recently bought my new HP printer, the ink it came with ran out quickly. I purchased these XL cartridges and could hardly believe when they ran out after printing only a couple of dozen pages. When I tried to order more they were no where to be found. I contacted HP who told me they had discontinued making the cartridges for my NEW printer. Unbelievable ploy to force people to buy new equipment, and terribly wasteful to discard perfectly good and working equipment into the landfill. Really shameful of HP, I’ve been a lifelong HP Only purchaser without question, but this experience has left me so disgusted. Now I’m being forced to buy a new printer and I just got this one a couple months ago.

I have ordered cartridges in the past that run out of ink far too quickly. I am happy to say that this product, met expectations. In fact, the only reason that I gave it a 4 rating is that, had I changed the cartridge when it first told me the ink was low, I would have wasted a lot of ink. I am still printing after two warnings that the ink was low. I will purchase this product again, because I feel that I got my money’s worth, and I will have an extra cartridge on hand when it finally does quit printing.

I use the black ink to print home documents. I have never had one dry out so quickly. The ones I buy in stores have always worked until they were out of ink. This one printed for about 1 month then started printing poor quality, then half the lines until I finally threw it out and replaced it. The new one works fine so it wasn’t the printer. I won’t buy one from Amazon again because it is too hard to return if it is defective. It’s too expensive to throw away more than half the ink.

My printer wouldn’t work after installing the ink box and keeps on telling me that there’s something wrong with it. After re-installing the old catrdige that I was going to throw away, my printer started printing again.
