TL;DR: fairly comfortable on the head with good sound, but the sound is not *as( good as in far more expensive headphones, which really shoiuld be expected.
I bought these headphones because I have a big head with big, physically sensitive ears and most headphones are not comfortable for me. So I want over-ear cans with really big ear circles and had trouble finding these. My old Sennheiser HD270, which was well-sized, finally reached end of life, while my wife’s Sennheiser HD 280Pro don’t feel very comfortable. Because of this issue I am wary of buying unknown headphones online, while selecting by trying is not doable in this pandemic.
OneOdio reviews were coming in as “very good budget headphones”, but their flagship model is obviously not for my big ears. Then I stumbled across these, looking very big and at a discount too, and bought them.
And they are big in real life, too. They are comfortable enough, probably close to what the HD270 were when new. The sound appears quite lovely when tried, with strong bass but not too much, fair mids and treble too,
But when tried in a comparison with the Sennheiser HD 280Pro, the OneOdio don’t have such clarity and such sound stage.
The HD280Pro are more than double the price, so this is not really unexpected. But some overglowing reviews put the OneOdio at that kind of level. So I’m putting in four stars. The OneOdio Studio HiFi are quite good for the price, and one of the few options for us big-eared people; but they are not a miracle.

Watched a Y.T. video about these and thought I’d have a look on Amazon. They were on special offer for a giveaway price of £22! This was for the chrome finish model. Ideally, I preferred the black model, but this was £33. However, upon receiving and opening my box, it was the black model for a steal of £22! The build quality for this price is unbelievably good. Small screws hold the frame together and the plastic feels very smooth and sturdy. Plenty of headband padding. Earcups feel more than adequate with just the correct amount of grip. Very comfortable to wear. The dual plug lead has a real bonus in that the 3.5mm jack is plug and twist with a red alignment marker. This ive only found before on premium headphones. I plugged straight into my phone to play. The sound is very surprising and pleasing. Bass is firm and punchy, but definitely not overwhelming. Mids are very prominent with clear highs without siblance. The volume at 70% is more than enough without any distortion. These can get very loud just plugged straight into a phone. I’ve had to pinch myself to make sure I only paid so little for so much comfort, sound and quality. Even come with a separate in line mic lead and carry pouch. Snap these up right now. You won’t believe your ears……..or your piggy bank!

I bought these because my old Sennheiser HD 457 headphones became one sided. I noticed the difference immediately – sounds were clearer. They are also very easy on my ears, even though the headphones feel a bit tight to my head. The tightness doesn’t bother me though and it isn’t noticeable after a while. Given that they sound great and are comfortable, they represent excellent value for money. I only paid £22.40 from Amazon Warehouse Deals and I’m glad I did. They are massive, too.

These headphones have given me a real dilema as I ordered these with another pair of OneOdio headphones, the A71, for DJing with a view to keeping the best of the two but I love them both. The other pair are more suited for DJing with the swiveable cups etc but these are really comfy and the better sounding of the two by a whisker.
These feature 50mm drivers and sound great for the money, far better than more expensive ones I have had in the past. A nice touch is as well as a cloth carry bag you get both 3.5 and 6.5mm jack leads. In use for a couple of hours at a time these are very comfy too thanks to the pads – they don’t feel like they are crushing my head like some of my others do.
Great value and great sounding comfy headphones, you can’t go wrong with these for the price.
