OMOTON Laptop Stand, Adjustable Aluminum Laptop Tablet Riser, Foldable Portable Desktop Holder Compatible with All Laptops (Up to 15.6 inch)

I bought this to raise my 15.6″ Acer Predator Helios 300 during gaming and general use. The stand has no issues supporting the laptop’s weight on any of the six adjustable levels. The design is minimal and it has a small footprint on my desk so it doesn’t get in the way. It has also helped immensely with heat dissipation versus a cooling pad, which despite elevating your laptop doesn’t leave breathing room for your fans as it comes in direct contact with the pad itself. The carrying case provided is great as well. So far, I’m pleased with the purchase.

However, I have two issues with this product. I’m unable to close my laptop screen completely as two feet at the base of the stand interfere with the lid. I also realized that the pins that connect to the base of the stand are very loose. This design choice might be intentional as your laptop has to provide most of the weight keeping these pins in place. But you can easily reposition the pins yourself while your laptop is on the stand. Not sure how much that speaks towards the longevity of these pins, as constant pressure may decrease their friction over time, making it harder to keep them in place.

I’ll have to see based on extended use but otherwise I would recommend this product to anyone that wants a simple solution to raising their laptops.

UPDATE: it’s been over a month and as suspected, the right pin has lost some of its friction. It still holds in place just fine without any issues in movement or balancing the laptop, but without the laptop’s weight it doesn’t stay in place at all and naturally lifts itself out of the pinhole. If you’re using a heavier device, keep this in mind!

My work recently went fully remote due to Covid, so I needed a more comprehensive desktop setup, and this thing is awesome!!
I hate having clutter on my desk at home since I already have a lot out when I’m working. The foldable plastic stands just don’t cut it for me when I’m trying to minimize the use of space, but this thing has been amazing so far. I’ve used it for just over a week and am so glad I bought this!! It starts out quite small, but when you expand it, it definitely does the trick!
I don’t see any issues with the make of this, but I’m really good at taking care of my stuff. Just maybe be careful when opening the stand up and use equal pull strength from both sides so you’re not putting too much stress on the bars. But otherwise, I can see this lasting me quite some time.
It’s compact size is definitely a selling point for me!
I’d I could make one suggestion for the product, an extra 1 or 2 holes on each side would be better to heighten the laptop screen.
All in all, I highly recommend!

I really like how fast and compact this laptop stand it. It’s quite amazing. Although I’m not to sure on how long it will last sturdiness wise. But we’ll see. I got it for WFH and I would def recommend it. I have a dell XPS 15”. And it works great. I don’t think I would trust it with a 17”. Would def work with any tablet as well.

Update: I still really love this stand! It’s been a couple months and I use it all around the house-office/couch/bed/kitchen. CONS: the con that I found was… the pads on top to protect your computer. If they get hot enough they’ll begin to slide off.
