The footrest will tilt depending on where you place your feet which defeats the entire purpose of a footrest. However, rubbing against the bumps feels really nice! If you have a solution to the tilt this is probably pretty good for $20.
Edit: Broke after a few years. Was rubbing my feet on them too hard and a piece of plastic snapped in half at the base. This was actually a blessing in disguise since it has made the footrest significantly more sturdy as it does not tilt anymore. Still don’t think this is worth anymore than $20ish.

It’s bigger than I thought, doesn’t fit under my desk as nice as I would like (I got a heater under there too). I wish it had smaller adjustments , but it does it’s job and it lets me wiggle my feet, like an old fashioned paddle off a sewing machine.

The design is not bad. It’s not very clear from the description but as many people said, it’s a free-tilting foot rest. It’s a nice feature for keeping circulation going and if you’re a fidgeting person, but the lack of locking means you can’t keep your feet in a restful position without effort if it doesn’t work with gravity.
My main issue with it was that it just kept sliding across the floor with every little movement until it hits the wall, by which point it’s too far back for it to be useful at my desk. The rocking affects the round bars (makes them roll) and my laminate floor boards are evidently too slick for the rubber pieces at the end to get a good grip. If you have carpeting it won’t be an issue, but for me it was unusable. The pedal at the front also got in the way of my chair sometimes–check the dimensions as well, the foot rest took up more room than I thought it would.
I thought it was pretty sturdy, but I also only tried it out for half an hour. During that time I noticed that my feet were starting to feel a little sore from the bumps, too.

Because it doesn’t stay level you get pain in your ankles. Not a good purchase at all.

I have use it for over 2 month and it already broke. the plastic that hold the rest in an angle position is poorly design with thin and cheap plastic.

This broke under my foot in less than 1 week. It is not a sturdy device. I ended up ordering a 3M foot rest instead and it is worth the money. Sometimes going cheap because its affordable isn’t always the best route. Glad that I could return it to get a full refund. Thanks Amazon.

Stool broke after 6 months of everyday use. The two pegs, which are small plastic pieces, which attach the locking mechanism to the legs broke. For a $60 foot rest, this thing is pretty poorly made, and the manufacturer does not offer any sort of warranty or replacement. I’d recommend avoiding the product and the company.

Like many people, I’ve been working from home during the pandemic. I often worked barefoot and occasionally in socks. The balls/bubbles hurt my feet over time. The swivel feature helps to recover from the pain under my feet.
I don’t hate the product, but I wouldn’t buy it again. I’d opt for a softer surface or without the balls.
If you work from home and wear your shoes/slippers all the time, then it may do the trick for you.
