I live down in Florida where the daily humidity will creep into every space and feel like you are swimming in a soup bowl for two-thirds of the year. I needed to lower the humidity in my apartment to one, feel better and two, protect my home from moisture damage. To do so, I needed to run this unit around the clock for around 3 weeks and this thing never missed a beat. It was consistent in pulling out buckets and buckets of water out of the air for the whole run. The collection bucket would be full every 6.5 hours or so but, my space was around 75% humidity so I expected this. No issues with the unit appearing stressed or slowing down. I would recommend this to anyone who needs to get higher volumes of moisture out of the air, or for those with larger spaces and lower volumes looking to maintain comfortable levels.

This is a really good dehumidifier. It’s extremely efficient at its job and it does it with a very low level of noise. Some dehumidifiers can be quite noisy, this has so far been the quietest of its class.

You can attach a general garden hose to drain the water which is very economical as far as replacement and durability. Some dehumidifiers have a special hose that must be used and I have found this can be a bit of a pain to replace. You can also close the gravity drain with a screw on cap that is provided and use the water collection reservoir, which is amply large 1.8 gallons, easy to take in and out and has a flat bottom so you can easily balance the drawer on the floor while you pull it out of the unit; this prevents accidental spills which I have had with other units.
I live in a very humid area and it has to be emptied about twice a day on high with a humidity goal of 45%, my home humidity without it running is 85-90%; I know that’s really high isn’t it. On a lower setting, using the comfort setting and a low fan speed it has to be emptied once every 36-48+ hours. The comfort setting automatically keeps a balance between heat generation (which is very helpful on hot days and your AC unit is struggling to cool your home) of the machine and a comfortable relative humidity, usually around 50-55%.
I have 2 of these units, one is a 50 pint, the other a 70 pint. The 50 was suitable to dehumidify my 1000 square foot home, I ordered a 70 for my home, which uses a bit more power, because I wanted to use the 50 in my 800 square foot basement. I keep the 70 on a lower comfort auto setting now, the 50 was on an auto maintain 45% humidity in the same space. Even though the 50 uses less electricity overall comparatively to the 70 I have found that they ultimately use about the same amount in the end because the 70 comes on less frequently.

I would, and have, definitely recommend this unit to a friend. I don’t recommend many products but this one is truly good enough for me to take time out of my busy day to write this lengthy review. Oh, and the best part, it restarts on its own once power is restored after a power disruption, most just keep the settings and you have to push the power button for it to start up again.
Overall I’d rate this product an A.

My cottage basement was up to 78% humidity. Plugged this bad boy in and the next day it dropped down to 45%! The basement is approximately 1250 sq/f

Unit looks nice and runs quiet, but mine didn’t extract any moisture. Called the manufacturer who told me to return it to Amazon, who refused my return and told me it was under warranty so I had to go through the manufacturer, who is going to “get back to me” about a replacement. I’ve spent half a day trying to sort this out, hopefully I’ll end up with a working unit at the end but I sure wish I’d bought a different one.

It takes every bit of Humidity out of the air much Easier to Breath No louder then a Normal Fan its Great Beeps and shuts off when its full of Water You will not Regret We use this Upstairs and we have Three Bedrooms , Bathroom a Big Living Room and Fair size Kitchen and its Perfect !!! we have this in our basement and it is pulling moisture out of the air like a champ. we need to empty it every day, as it’s often full, but it is very humid and warm here lately so that was the point. it is not too noisy at all and it’s small footprint makes it easy to not get in the way. i like the handle in the bucket for carrying a full load to dump out. it does blow off some warm air so i would not be wanting in it a small room or bedroom, as in summer months you would feel the room temp increase. great for basements and open spaces.

Appareil vraiment très efficace. Je l’utilise pour notre sous-sol et je vide le réservoir complètement rempli d’eau tous les jours. Cela est vraiment très simple d’utilisation. Le bac à une anse, il est facile à vider, il se retire et se replace très aisément. Le programme visuel proposé est intuitif. Vous pouvez également choisir votre intensité de déshumidification . L’appareil est sécurisé. En effet, si le bac est rempli, l’appareil s’arrête pour éviter les débordements. Cet appareil n’est pas silencieux à 100 % mais le bruit est tolérable, raisonnable. Cela fait un bruit de fond, un bruit blanc. Je l’enclenche en journée lorsqu’il n’y a personne à la maison. Il faut savoir que l’appareil dégage une chaleur qui peut être agréable en hiver. Je me pose la question pour la saison d’été. Je suis vraiment très satisfaite de cette machine très performante. Après tout, mon objectif est de pouvoir déshumidifier une zone de vie et c’est réussi ! Pour la durabilité, c’est mon premier déshumidificateur et je vais donc le découvrir en espérant qu’il vivra très longtemps……
