This is a great little tripod that is very sturdy and seems quite well built. I can easily put my DSLR even with a 70-300 mm zoom lens on it and it will support it with the legs in the correct orientation. The quick setting button allows you to easily adjust the tripod head.

My ONE complaint about this tripod would be the lack of a notch allowing the tripod head to be oriented sideways. This is a common feature on tripod/monopod heads such as my Manfrotto monopod head, allowing a camera to be oriented in portrait (up and down, not side to side). Not only can a camera not be oriented in portrait, but neither can a phone if using the Manfrotto double lock clamp also sold on Amazon. Portrait mode is important especially for capturing videos for publication on social media stories (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)

That aside, very well-built little tripod!

I purchased this item with the intent to take it while I travel. There are many times I cannot justify a full fledged tripod or monopod due to weight or storage capacity. This little fellow is just the ticket. I am quite surprised by the rigidity of the unit, and with the small legs extended the camera is elevated approx 5 inches. One word of warning: you cannot set the head to be perpendicular to the stand, so you’d need to look for a mini-ball head that provides that functionality (for portrait mode compositions). I would have provided 5 stars, but Manfrotto didn’t include a nice carrying case for protection – but the dollar store solved that problem. While I wait for a specially-priced mini ball head, the shaft from my old ROWI tripod-clamp will serve as a temporary fix. The Manfrotto mini is a joy to use with my DSLR & compact cameras when doing table-top macro work.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.

I have to say, I’m absolutely stunned by this product.

My expectations were low, as the price was also low, but this thing is incredibly light, sturdy, and so easy to use!

It held up my Nikon D5500, and the heavy Sigma 17-50mm 2.8 with absolute ease. To tilt the ball head, it’s as easy as pushing in the red button and rotating. The second you release the button, the ball head locks into position extremely tightly. No movement whatsoever on the camera.

I’m so impressed. Do not hesitate to buy this! I was originally going to get the highest end GorillaPod, but if you don’t need the arm bending versatility, this is a must buy. 10/10.

I’ve had a few mini tripods over the years that you can wrap around lamp posts or place on walls for selfie/family shots or just to get rid of that shakey hand issue when filming. They’ve not really performed that well. This Manfrotto mini tripod is different because the legs are solid and tiny grips on the ends seem to like to be anywhere that’s not wet. It also doesn’t suffer from having my DSLR mounted on it. With other mini tripods they would just slump when I put a heavy camera on them.

I can just twist this tripod onto my camera, press down the button (in red here) to move the mount and find what I want. Then it’s good to go. The only slight complaint I have is that when you’ve released the button the camera will then push it down a little more. To compensate that I just set it that little bit higher. After all it’s a heavy camera.

Fits in my camera/drone bag without taking up too much space. Handy to take anywhere with you. Overall I’m very impressed for something at this price point.

I really enjoyed using this tripod. First of all, the material is really durable. It does not feel cheap or light. There is some weight to the product which makes it feel nice. The material also feels very good. It feels like it has a satin finish to it. I use this on my canon m5 and i’ve notice a hude difference. Most of the shaking happening while using my hand has disappeared after using the tripod!

I was able to sit it up with no issues. It does not feel flimsy nor does it feel like it will fall of easily. At the bottom of the tripods “legs” there are durable material. I believe thats what helps the tripod be firm.

The packaging was neat. It came in a plastic material. It was ruined nor scratched.

I’ve used many other ‘mini’ tripods for cell phones and go pros in the past. I was hesitant to spend the money on this as it was a bit pricey compared to some of the knock-off / cheap tripods you can get online. Now that I have it, I’m glad I spent the bit of extra money and I’m very happy with this product. As soon as you get your hands on this you can feel the quality and durability. I love the red button that you can press to unlock the rotation/adjustment on the ball. When you let go of the red button, it automatically holds the rotating ball in place. It’s a nice feature and it locks really well and won’t move around or jiggle out of place. Once you set it, you can be confident it won’t move out of place.

The tripod ‘legs’ have built in rubber on the bottoms which add great grip for wherever you want to place or rest it. It seems to hold great and doesn’t slip around or slide off of things. It’s fairly versatile in how you can position your camera thanks to the locking swivel ball.

Another nice feature with this is the fact that you can hold it with the legs folded in tall, and it acts like a stick to hold your camera and makes it way easier to take steady footage and just generally easier to hold your camera. Very nice feature that I really enjoyed.

If you’re looking for a mini tripod, you won’t be disappointed with this product. I recommend buying this and I have no regrets. Top notch and beats the crappy knock offs and will definitely last a very long time – spend the money and do yourself the favour.

First off, the operative word is ‘little’. This is a small, light, and insubstantial bit of kit. Especially by the standards of other offerings from Manfrotto. No mounting plate, just a screw for a standard bush, quite simple spring loaded push button for the level. It should never be able to hold a full sized DSLR. However, in the same fashion that a bee flies when it shouldn’t, it just works. And works well. It has limitations. Avoid long lenses at full extension. That sort of thing. But you can stick it in the odd corner of a gadget bag, or a pocket, and wander unencumbered until you need a longer shutter speed. You can fold up the legs and use it as a handle, but to be honest I’ve tried this and it seems a bit false, like an added feature that only exists in an advertising man’s head. In it’s own little niche this is an excellent tripod. The type of thing you might take on a flight in your carry on, in a bike pannier or something similar. I like it.

I have been a photographer for years and I know the company extremely well. I needed something to hold a ring light and that could fit on my desk without taking too much space. This little tripod did the trick, but more importantly, it is extremely well built and sturdy, as you would expect from Manfrotto. The adjustment is so extremely simple and can be done with one hand and a squeeze. This last part is super important if you are a perfectionist and want the perfect position. Once you stop squeezing, the ball is locked in place. Amazing value for your money. The nicest part is that it folds into a super small space and can be carried easily. I can also see this working extremely well with a smartphone camera for selfies or webcasting. Really good quality!
