These were purchased for my 13 yr old who is 5’2″ and slim. We bought a large. He loves them. The mesh inside is perfect, not to big , not to snug. He likes that they come to the knee area (just touching). Would definitely buy these again.

I haven’t been able to find one thing I dislike about these trunks. They fit exactly as expected (size 18 for boys) My son is 13 years old, 5’6″ and about 120lbs. His previous shorts were a size 14/16 and just extremely too small. These are modest and fall to the knees and they’re colorful, which allows him to pick a myriad of swim tops to go with them. He swims every day and has nothing but good things to say about them. He does warn, however, to tie them tightly, so they don’t slip off. Otherwise, great trunks!

Son loves them. He’s 8 and skinny (52 lbs) so I love that the drawstring tightens the whole thing instead of just the front. They’re a little longer than his normal swimsuits but there’s plenty of room for him to grow. He also loves that they have pockets.

These swim trucks are well made, colorful, and the fabric is sturdy. I am giving these shorts 5 stars for one very good reason: the drawstring is functional! On SO many of my sons other swim trucks, the drawstring at the waist is purely decorative. He is narrow in the waist, so this helps him from losing his shorts in the water.
