Love this little laptop! Works well for the homeschooling situation at the moment, system is quick and responsive. Display and images are clear, love it overall! A bit pricey (but what isn’t these days -_- ……) but definitely worth the purchase.

The laptop is an ok low end computer, it is good for a HS student to complete homework. However, during set up, the manufacturer website showed that the computer’s warranty was activated on 7/8/19. How can that be if the computer was sold as new. Called HP and we were told that indeed there were only 6 months of warranty left on this particular computer. HP offers a year warranty on all new computers. HP rep advised us to return laptop and get a “new” computer…

I bought this computer form my 5 year-old daughter distance learning and I am totally disappointed. The computer simply does not work, it locks, do not have sound and it became even worse after I needed to exit the S mode. Unfortunately, I will need to buy another computer, it was a waste of money. I believe HP should rethink this product, it is just a disrespect with the consumer and with the environment to sell and produce something like this!

Once you upgrade the ram, this laptop performs like a champ. I put in a single 16gb stick and this thing blazes. Boots up in seconds, even the WIndows updates are fast. Now the bad…only 2 USB slots, and no backlit keyboard. The underwhelming 128gb ssd provides meager storage, but an 256gb thumb drive was cheap and easy solution.

Soooo obviously my name is Jenny Fisher, I received this laptop maybe 30 mins ago. I was setting it up and there was a sort where you put your name and it said Jenny Fisher so I assumed it was some sort of default name and deleted it and put mine, I had to restart it already because it froze when setting up a new browser, so when I went to log in it said Jenny Fisher. Apparently the factory reset this company did didn’t clear everything. I’ve seen others say that they received used laptops when it was supposed to be new. I’m gonna have to check the warranty now. I emailed the seller already. Goodness buy with caution
Update, I checked the warranty and added the pic, it said it was activated 7/8/2019 just like another reviewer mentioned. The seller did contact me back very timely (same day) which was, however, nothing has been resolved as of yet. So we shall see

Nowhere in this description will you see the product number. I received the 14-dk0028wm model. The difference between the 0024 and the 0028 are that the 0024 is the gold-tone and the 0028 is the silver-tone. I use Outlook on it and links sometimes will not activate Chrome. Also the F5 does not do refresh. This is because the function keys are used for various activities like screen brightness and volume. This can be turned off in the BIOS from what I’ve read. I’ve enjoyed sending games to it from my Xbox One, but the picture on my Sony 43″ XBR is much better. It is interesting how you can access the console from the laptop or any decent Windows 10 device. This is a great computer and I thank youtuber ETA Prime for his video on it. Soon I”ll be updating the memory, which can go up to 32GB.
Followup: I’ve upgraded to 16GB of memory, as well as upgraded the M.2 to a 1TB both made by Crucial. If you upgrade the M.2, make sure you get a SATA device. It is not NVMe. I happened to have one for a future computer build, but decided to try it in this computer. Worked out great. Way better than the 128GB which is stock. I was worried about upgrading Windows 10 with a new M.2. I had Windows 10 on USB that I bought for another computer, but it worked because this laptop is designed for Windows 10. I learned how to open the laptop on YouTube. I used a thick credit card-like ID card. Remove all the screws first. I learned how to add the memory and M.2 and all was a success. Great computer!

This laptop is tiny and thin. I ordered extra 16gb Memory RAM to try out it’s capability. 4GB RAM is limited and sometimes hang when you open too many programs at a time. Setting it up is easy, but make sure you do not go for Windows 10 S Mode. You will not be able to download files freely like downloading certain programs and making google chrome as your default browser. There’s instruction and it will tell you if you want to switch out of Windows 10 S Mode or keep it. I switched out and go for Windows 10 home. Make sure you do this so you have full control. I found out on how to do it by searching on google. Graphics card only hold 512MB of VRAM. Wish it’s upgradeable, but the graphics card Ryzen Vega 3 does it’s job. I don’t think this laptop can play high end latest game, but you can still play games defending on specification requirements. I have to wait and install the extra memory ram that I ordered to see if this laptop can run better. However, the laptop does not support HDR. The screen is kinda blurry when I watch youtube videos and the 100% full brightness is somewhat 70%. I think the missing HDR would have made the quality more crisp and sharper. For a price, it’s a handy laptop for students and those who want a portable looking one. If you are looking for gaming laptop, this laptop is possible, but do not expect a high end games such as modern warfare to be playable. You can still game with recent games, but the latest ones that requires higher VRAM, I don’t think it’s possible. I’m not complaining. I only wanted a new laptop to replace the one that broke. I just need it to edit audios and browse around. Other than that. It’s recommended if you are financially struggling and wants a budget laptop.

Great laptop for schoolwork and light gaming. I tested Minecraft, Hollow Knight and Morrowind and they run well on this machine. The SSD makes this laptop nice and responsive too. However, 4GB of RAM is not usable in 2020. Windows 10 itself uses 53% of the RAM, so I recommend buying a separate 4GB laptop RAM stick and make sure it’s 2400MHz. Although this is a dual core CPU laptop, the Ryzen 3 3200u in it is quite impressive.
8/10 | Great laptop for the price, but be sure to purchase extra RAM. Have at least 8GB!

It maxes out at 2.4Ghz, it’s nowhere near 3.5. good laptop but idk why they haven’t changed the title yet. I told them this a month or 2 ago and sent pics showing them its at 2.4Ghz and not 3.5, they said ok and apologized, yet the title remains with the same lie. I also mentioned that the GPU is Vega MOBILE graphics, which they also don’t mention in the title, and they STILL haven’t changed it. I wonder why. Smh

Love this laptop! I added in 16GB of RAM on top of the already preinstalled 4GB and it’s nice & speedy. Handles video editing & gaming quite nicely. Wondering if there’s a way I can also upgrade the storage space? That seems to be my only problem at this point in time

Laptops been good so far since I bought it it does freeze here and there sometimes when it loads alot of stuff at once or many things running at once changed the ram to 8gb in total still freezes time to time but once it’s over the freezing part it runs smooth, battery life is great if your doing regular streaming watching videos, they should have mentioned what type of .m2 storage it is so you know which one to or if you want an upgraded storage space because for some of us 128gb is just not enough, I noticed a Hard drive space inside the laptop when you open it up but they did not include any ZiF connection cable to attach the HDD for an option, I don’t know why not since there’s space specifically designed there for a laptop HDD and the connection for a Zif cable is there so… why not include it
